Fashion fans are loving the ‘best' anti-chafe shorts from M&S that ‘hide lumps & bumps' and are ‘slimming & smoothing'
Abigail Wilson, Senior Digital Writer Published: Invalid Date, SHOPPERS are raving about the 'best' pair of anti-chafe shorts that are 'slimming and smoothing'. So if you want to hide all your 'lumps and bumps', then you've come to the right place and will need to check this out. 4 4 Fashionistas are going wild for the two pack of Light Control Thigh Slimmers from M&S - and not only are they super effective, but they're affordable too. The shorts will make your thighs look slimmer and have even been said to make your bum appear bigger too - yes, you heard that correctly. According to M&S bosses, fashionistas will 'sport a flawless silhouette by slipping on these light control thigh slimming shorts.' They are designed to 'accentuate your curves' and 'help to flatten and smooth out stubborn areas with their gentle stretch.' And you won't have to worry about people seeing them either, as they are said to have 'no VPL.' The M&S shorts have been crafted 'using anti-chafing fabric, making them a flattering and comfortable choice to wear underneath figure-hugging looks.' For just £18 for two, we think they're a real steal - and there's two colour options to choose from - black and rose quartz. The shorts, which according to customers, fit 'true to size', are available from a size 8 to a size 24, making them perfect for a variety of different body shapes. And it's clear that shoppers are loving them, as they have quickly amassed countless five star reviews, with many hailing them the 'best' anti-chafe shorts on the market. Not only this, but others have praised the shorts for working "wonders" on their "confidence." M&S' must-have summer holiday dresses One person said: 'Perfect fit. Best ones I've bought so far. Quality fabric.' Another added: 'Comfortable, soft, does not show lines, true to size, the best product for tummy control.' Why Everyone Is Loving M&S Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale revealed to Fabulous why M&S is the shop of the moment. She explained: 'M&S has really pulled it out of the bag this season, there is so much good product to be excited about. 'A brand once known for its 'frumpy fashion' that notion is long gone with it now being one of the leading high street stores for womenswear. 'Its handbag range in particular is super strong with them selling 170% vs plan, with lots more designer dupes for just a fraction of the price. 'The brand is now also the #1 for style perceptions, compared to the #3 spot it had last year, this comes from a really strong design team focused on modernising the brand, not only taking into consideration how the pieces look, but how easy they are to wear also. 'Price is also a big factor with you being able to get many good quality pieces all for under £30. 'After having a sneak peak of the upcoming collection there are so many more amazing pieces that are dropping over the next few months to keep your eyes on. 'Think leopard print dresses, colourful co-ords, embroidered boho jackets, plus lots of swimwear and amazing accessories, as well as great wardrobe staples that will last year on year.' A third commented: 'These are the best replacement 'Spanx' ever! I have purchased several thigh slimmers from various stores and none have been suitable. 'These ones are comfortable, don't ride up and aren't too tight on the waist. I've bought another pair. Highly recommend.' Not only this, but someone else beamed: 'Fabulous… they are very comfortable, when worn hides all the lumps and bumps without feeling like you have been squeezed into them. And at a very real price.' The thigh slimming aspect has two benefits: thighs are slimmed and there is absolutely no danger of VPL Online shopper Meanwhile, another happy M&S shopper shared: 'I am finding these to be a bonus in my wardrobe. The light control aspect of these pants adds a certain firmness to my derrière. Being of a certain age, I'm always glad of a little support. 'The thigh slimming aspect has two benefits: thighs are slimmed and there is absolutely no danger of VPL. I like to wear floaty, lightweight trousers in the summer and these pants do wonders for my confidence. 'I purchased two sets, so I'm never without an option of wearing them. Even under a lightweight dress or skirt, they are slightly slimming and smoothing. I wear a skin toned shade that is perfect under light as well as dark fabrics.' Unlock even more award-winning articles as The Sun launches brand new membership programme - Sun Club Hottest fashion trends of 2025 Fabulous' Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shares the biggest trends from the high street. The East/West Bag Baguette bags have had a good run, after returning from the 1990s' shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern-day fashion icons, like Hailey Bieber. In 2025, the East/West bag is a similar but elongated shape and has long, thin straps that are easy to throw over your shoulder. They've been on runway models' arms at nearly ever designer show - think Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta - and are hitting the high street now, too. Powder pink Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of Barbie in 2023 and now the more polished and expensive-looking pale shade is taking over for 2025. Pantone may say that it's the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise! From Prada to Erdem, the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks, worn head-to-toe or on its own. If the sugary shade is too girly for you, then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour. The shell jacket The '80s classic is back, but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025. We all know we're likely to see rain for most of spring, so your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule jacket. Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear, with surges already seen in '80s windbreakers'. Seen everywhere from the stylish streets of Copenhagen to the Miu Miu catwalk, now mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair are very much in fashion! The turn-up jeans While the shape of jeans remains the same for this year and barrel-legs will still be everywhere, the way we're styling them is different. This season, transform your wide-leg, baggy denims into turn-ups. For this look, size doesn't matter, so while deep turn-ups are a hit from jean trend-leaders Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good - but only as it's just one single fold. Peep-toe shoe Get your pedicures booked in sharpish, as this season your toes are the main event. After a long hiatus, the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold, with brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear in this style. From mules to pumps and clogs (yes, clogs will be around too!), there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street. Sheer blouses See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk, but have rarely filtered into everyday life - until now. Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their S/S '25 catwalks and M&S even had sellout success with its black sheer pencil skirt last season. Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks.

US stock futures higher ahead of Fed interest rate announcement
Since Israel attacked Iran, oil prices have jumped to a near five-month high. Much of the world's oil comes from the Middle East, and if oil prices continue to climb or stay elevated for a while, that could ignite inflation. Along with the Fed's policy announcement, central bankers will release their economic forecasts. Economists expect the Fed to raises its inflation outlook, lower its economic growth forecast and keep the unemployment rate fairly low. Investors will also be looking to see how many rate cuts the Fed expects to implement this year and next. At 6:10 a.m. ET, futures linked to the blue-chip Dow rose 0.21%, while broad S&P 500 futures gained 0.27% and tech-laden Nasdaq futures added 0.35%. Cryptocurrency The Senate passed to regulate stablecoins, or a type of cryptocurrency designed to maintain a stable price, often by being pegged to a more stable asset like the U.S. dollar. The Senate's legislation requires dollar-pegged stablecoins to hold dollar-for-dollar reserves in short-term government debt or similar products overseen by state or federal regulators. The bill now goes to the House, which must decide whether it will take up the bill or negotiate a compromise. Medora Lee is a money, markets, and personal finance reporter at USA TODAY.
