ONGCs consolidated net profit fell 1.7% to Rs 9,804.07 crore on 3.5% decline in net sales to Rs 1,63,108.13 crore in Q1 FY26 over Q1 FY25.
Jindal Steel & Power reported a 11.5% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,493.97 crore in Q1 FY26 compared with Rs 1,340.15 crore in Q1 FY25. Net sales fell 9.7% YoY to Rs 12,294.48 crore during the quarter.
Suzlon Energy s consolidated net profit rose 7.3% to Rs 324.32 crore on 54.6% jump in net sales to Rs 3117.33 crore in Q1 June 2025 over Q1 June 2024.
FSN E-commerce(Nykaa)s consolidated net profit surged 141.9% to Rs 23.32 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 9.64 crore in Q1 FY25. Net sales increased 23.4% YoY to Rs 2,154.94 crore in Q1 FY26.
National Securities Depository (NSDL) reported a 7.6% jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 89.63 crore despite of 14.18% decline in net sales to Rs 312.03 crore in Q1 FY26 over Q4 FY25.

Perplexity AI, led by Indian-origin CEO Aravind Srinivas, has made an $34.5 billion (over Rs 302152 crore) all-cash bid to acquire Google Chrome. However there was no reply by Google so far about it. Amid this competition only on Thursday, Google announced that 'Flight Deals,' its new AI-powered search feature within Google Flights, will be launched over the next week in the US, Canada, and India. In a blog post, the company said the tool is aimed at flexible travellers focused on finding the best savings for their next trip. The rollout will happen automatically, with no opt-in required, it added. Google Flights Launches New AI Search Tool The feature can be accessed through the Flight Deals page, or via the top-left menu on Google Flights, the flight search engine that helps users find and compare airline tickets. 'Instead of playing with different dates, destinations and filters to uncover the best deals, you can just describe when, where and how you'd like to travel — as though you're talking to a friend — and Flight Deals will take care of the rest,' it said. Citing an example, it said one can start with searching for something like 'week-long trip this winter to a city with great food, nonstop only' or '10 day ski trip to a world-class resort with fresh powder'. What Will Google's New AI Tool Do? 'You'll see the best bargains available that match your search, including destinations you may not have previously considered,' it said. Flight Deals uses Google's advanced AI to understand the nuances of what users are looking for and identifies matching destinations. Thereafter, it taps into real-time Google Flights data to quickly display relevant, up-to-date options from hundreds of airlines and booking sites. 'We're launching Flight Deals in beta to gather feedback and explore how AI can improve travel planning. SC Imposes Rs 1 lakh Cost On BSNL For Filing ‘Totally Frivolous Plea
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has castigated Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) for filing a 'totally frivolous' petition against a Madhya Pradesh High Court ruling in favour of a man seeking compassionate appointment. A Bench of Justices Ahsanuddin Amanullah and S.V.N. Bhatti, expressing strong displeasure over BSNL's decision to bring the matter before the apex court, imposed exemplary costs of Rs 1 lakh on the state-owned enterprise. The Justice Amanullah-led Bench directed BSNL to pay Rs 1 lakh directly to the respondent, Pavan Thakur, within two weeks and to file proof of payment with the registry, warning that non-compliance would invite 'appropriate orders.' 'In the event of non-compliance, the registry shall place the matter before this Court for appropriate orders,' it said. The apex court further allowed the state-owned enterprise to recover the amount 'from the officer(s) on whose advice this petition (before the apex court) has been filed.' 'We find that this is one of those cases that are totally frivolous in nature. In fact, we are shocked as to why such a petition has been filed before this Court,' the Justice Amanullah-led Bench observed in its order. The case stems from the death of the respondent's father, a BSNL peon, in 2000, followed by the death of his mother, who had been appointed on compassionate grounds in 2009. He applied for a compassionate appointment in 2010, but the Circle High Power Committee rejected his claim. In an order passed in 2018, the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) set aside BSNL's order and directed Pavan Thakur's appointment. BSNL challenged the decision before the Madhya Pradesh High Court, but its petition was dismissed in April this year. In its judgment, the High Court found that 'the respondent, who is not living in his own house and is living in a temporary jhuggi, is entitled to some points towards residence' and that even awarding 'only one point' under the residence head would make him eligible. This prompted BSNL to file a special leave petition (SLP) before the Supreme Court, which has now been dismissed with exemplary costs.
