Who's in the field for the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship?
Well, you should know about a big name not in the field and that is one Rory McIlroy, who opted out. Rest of the top 70 will be there, including No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, his first tournament since winning the Open Championship three weeks ago. Xander Schauffele (3), Justin Thomas (4) and Russell Henley (5) will also be there. Cameron Young, fresh off his first-ever PGA Tour win will also tee it up in Memphis. There is just one rookie who made the postseason and that's Aldrich Potgieter, who checks in at No. 43.

Weather forecast for Memphis for 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship
Death, taxes and scorching temperatures at the St. Jude. Memphis' FedEx Cup playoff event is known for plenty of things, but the weather is absolutely near the top of the list. The heat and humidity make it a gauntlet for even the best golfers in the world. The past couple of years have seen a caddie need IV fluids, golfers drenched in sweat and even Lucas Glover sinking his hands into a cooler of ice water — just before he won the tournament in 2023.
Rain is not in the forecast for this week.

Scottie Scheffler using fill-in caddie for final round at FedEx St. Jude Championship
Scottie Scheffler will use fill-in caddie Brad Payne Sunday after Ted Scott returns home for a private family matter. Scottie Scheffler will be without regular caddie Ted Scott by his side for the final round of the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis. Scott had to return home for a private family matter, according to a social media post by the PGA Tour. It stated that Brad Payne will fill-in for Scott. This isn't the first time that Payne has been on the bag for Scheffler. He stepped in last year for the third round of the PGA Championship at Valhalla when Scott was given the day off to attend his daughter's high school graduation. Scheffler tied the low round of the day on Saturday with a 65 at TPC Southwind. He enters the final round at 12-under 198, two shots behind leader Tommy Fleetwood and one back of Justin Rose. He's scheduled to tee off alongside 2025 U.S. Open Champion J.J. Spaun at 1:30 p.m. ET. Scheffler's finished inside the top 10 in 12 straight starts, and is seeking his fifth win of the season. (Editor's note: Keep tabs on all the action Sunday in Memphis with our live leaderboard updates. Plus, stay-up-to-date on FedEx Cup Playoffs developments with our live standings tracker.) Scott has been on the bag for all 17 of Scheffler's Tour wins since they began working together in late 2021. Payne is the president of College Golf Fellowship and has caddied for multiple players over the year. He played his college golf at Pepperdine.
