Washington Commanders work out PFF's highest graded wide receiver draft prospect
South Alabama wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett tells me that he worked out for the Washington Commanders in Alabama on Monday morning.

Pritchett has made the most of his draft process this offseason as he represented the home team at the Senior Bowl against the top prospects in the NFL draft. After being snubbed from an invite to the NFL Combine, Jamaal would go on to blow scouts away at South Alabama's pro day with a 4.39-4.42 40-yard dash, and a 9-foot-9 broad jump.
The productive wide receiver prospect finished the 2024 season with an 88.2 PFF grade against zone coverage, the highest among all wide receivers in the 2025 NFL draft. Prichett had 91 catches in 2024, the third-most in the country. The former Jaguar also led the nation in yards after catch, with 759 of his 1,126 yards coming after the ball was in his hands, making him an open-field weapon.
Jamaal Pritchett was one of only five wide receivers in FBS to average 3+ yards per route run and 7.5+ yards after catch per reception in 2024, with 3.46 yards per route run and 8.3 yards after the catch. Washington could use Pritchett as an explosive play-maker in the slot position, but also fill another need on the team.
Jamaal Pritchett also added punt returner to his resume in his final season at South Alabama with 12 returns for 183 yards at a 15.3 yards per return average, and added a touchdown. Washington doesn't have a clear special-teams returner on the roster right now, and can certainly add Pritchett to the mix of options if they draft him in April, in addition to his instant impact on offense. Adam Peters excels at finding gems in the draft, and Jamaal Pritchett could be a big target for the Commanders in the draft.

Predicting Every NFL Division Winner For 2025 Season originally appeared on The Spun. We're not waiting until Week 1 to share out predictions for the 2025 NFL season. Some sportsbooks, like FanDuel, currently have the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles as the favorites to represent their respective conferences. Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs are also one of the odds-on favorites to get back to the big game. While it's certainly possible our predictions age poorly, we feel confident that these eight teams will win their divisions this fall. AFC Division Winners When it comes to the AFC East, the safe bet is to lean on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. They haven't been to the Super Bowl under head coach Sean McDermott, but they're always in contention. While it's possible Mike Vrabel will make the New England Patriots better, we're not sure if they're ready for the bright lights. Moving over to the AFC North, we're going to ride with the Baltimore Ravens. The dynamic duo of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry is just too difficult to stop, especially in the regular season. That being said, don't sleep on the Cincinnati Bengals. If they avoid a slow start, they could be in the mix come December. As for the AFC South, we're going to continue riding the hot hand with the Houston Texans. It wouldn't shock us if the Jacksonville Jaguars compete for first place, but C.J. Stroud has proven to be more consistent than Trevor Lawrence. For that reason alone, we're going to bet on DeMeco Ryans' squad. Last but certainly not least, we're picking the Denver Broncos to win the AFC West. Yes, you read that correctly. While the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs present clear upgrades at quarterback, Denver has the edge on the other side of the football. Now that free-agent acquisitions Dre Greenlaw and Talanoa Hufanga have joined that unit, the sky is truly the limit for Sean Payton's defense. Plus, we expect Bo Nix to build off his impressive rookie year. NFC Division Winners The NFC East is allergic to having a repeat champion, but we're still picking the Philadelphia Eagles as of now. The majority of their Super Bowl core is intact, and it wouldn't shock us if players like Jalen Carter and Cooper DeJean take that next step this year. That being said, it wouldn't shock us if the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys compete for a division title. The NFC North might be the most difficult division to figure out. The Detroit Lions are built to win now, the Green Bay Packers proved in 2023 that they can make noise in the playoffs, the Minnesota Vikings have been electric under head coach Kevin O'Connell, and the Chicago Bears have more than enough talent to succeed. Although they lost several coaches in the offseason, we're going to bank on Dan Campbell and the Lions. Moving over to the NFC South, we're going to take the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach. We're going to pick the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to once again represent the division. The Atlanta Falcons could present a challenge, but we're just not sure if Michael Penix Jr. is ready for the moment. As for the NFC West, give us the Los Angeles Rams at this point in time. However, that pick completely hinges on the health of Matthew Stafford. He's dealing with an aggravated disc in his back. If he's not anywhere close to 100%, the San Francisco 49ers should be considered the team to beat in the division. Brooks scores on interception return as Ward has mixed results in Titans' 23-20 win over Falcons
ATLANTA (AP) — Kendell Brooks scored on a 53-yard interception return and rookie quarterback Cameron Ward had mixed results as the Tennessee Titans beat the Atlanta Falcons 23-20 in a preseason game Friday night. Joey Slye's 23-yard field goal with 9:03 remaining gave Tennessee (1-1) the lead. Falcons backup quarterback Emory Jones was stopped on a fourth-down run near the Tennessee 20 with 2:57 remaining. Jones was shaken up on the hit by linebacker Amari Burney and cornerback Jemari Harris. Jones walked off the field with assistance. Ward played three series and completed 2 of 7 passes for 42 yards. Ward's highlight was a 35-yard completion to Elic Ayomanor on the Titans' opening series. Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's NFL draft, had another long pass dropped by Van Jefferson. The teams traded third-quarter touchdowns. Jemar Jefferson's 16-yard scoring run, which capped a 13-play drive, gave the Titans a 20-13 lead. Easton Stick, who played the first three quarters for Atlanta, threw a 52-yard scoring pass to Chris Blair to tie the game. Brandon Allen, who played behind Ward, threw a 25-yard scoring pass to tight end Gunnar Helm late in the first half. Nathan Carter produced the Falcons' first touchdown with a 43-yard run in the third quarter. Younghoe Koo kicked field goals of 42 and 36 yards for Atlanta (0-2). Long road home The game completed a string of nine nights away from home for the Titans, who had a joint practice at Tampa Bay last week before their 29-7 loss to the Buccaneers. Backup QB shuffle Trevor Siemian, who was signed Monday, took over at quarterback for Tennessee in the fourth quarter and led the drive capped by Slye's go-ahead field goal. Siemian spent much of 2024 on the Titans' practice squad. He replaced Tim Boyle, who was released after completing only 4 of 13 passes for 24 yards with two interceptions against the Buccaneers. Stick, competing for Atlanta's No. 3 quarterback job, completed 15 of 25 passes for 145 yards with one touchdown and the one interception returned for a touchdown by Brooks. Allen completed 11 of 14 passes for 119 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Up next Titans: Following two road games, the Titans host Minnesota next Friday night.
