'My entitled neighbour leaves his dog to bark outside at 3am so I got revenge'

Daily Mirror6 days ago

A man has shared how he got his own back on a nuisance neighbour who leaves his dog to bark all through the night - and people say it's a fantastic solution to a common issue
A man has been praised for his 'petty revenge' on a neighbour who leaves their dog barking outside all through the night. He explained how the barking keeps him awake at night and despite asking his neighbour to do something about it, the neighbour laughs and refuses.
So, to teach him a lesson, he decided to get his own back on his 'entitled' neighbour. Taking to Reddit, he said: "Every night from midnight to 3am his dog would bark non-stop right outside my bedroom. Deep loud echoing barks like he was announcing the end of the world. I asked my neighbour twice to bring the dog in. Both times he brushed it off with a smirk and said "he's just doing his job. Cool. Then I'll do mine"

With that, he started recording to barking on his phone and played it full volume on a speaker through the wall at 6am to wake up his neighbour. He added: "I repeated that for two mornings. No yelling. No threats. Just his own dog giving him a taste of what I'd been dealing with.

"On day three the dog was inside before 10PM. Hasn't barked at night since. Sometimes the best revenge is pressing play"
Commenting on his post, one user said: "I had that problem so I'd put my speaker outside on my wall and played 'We Built this City on Rock and Roll' on repeat for three hours. Another user added: "Wonderfully petty - and effective - love it!"

A third user said: "My dad used to get up at 5am to go to work every day. Anytime the neighbour's dog woke him up during the night, they got a knock on the door around 5.30. Dad would just casually let them know he was off to work and their dog woke him up."
One more user added: "When my neighbour's dog wouldn't stop barking out in their yard I took a flashlight and aimed the beam at the side of the house.
"The stupid dog chased the beam of light and jumped all over the house. They would come out and yell King stop jumping! and I would start all over again when they went back in... until they finally brought him in."

A final user said: "Years ago my parents had a tenant who would play disco music at an appalling volume every morning at 2:00 am.
"We begged her to stop and she never did. I finally got fed up with her and my brother and I decided to get back at her.
"We parked a very large first amp at her back door and then I added an additional 30 decibels to the song 'Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead' from the Wizard of Oz and attached my CD player to my brother's guitar amp and then we waited. The next night her music went on and two minutes later, so did ours.
"I thought her shoe was going to explode it was so loud. It blasted out for about two minutes before I heard her yelling she was turning the music off. We had to repeat it a few times, but she eventually got the message."

Netflix Ginny and Georgia fans 'despise' relationship as season three drops

Ginny and Georgia season three has officially landed on Netflix on Thursday, June 5, with all 10 new episodes available to watch on the streaming platform. The countdown is officially over, as Ginny and Georgia has returned to screens for its highly-anticipated series three. The third season dropped on Thursday, June 5, after a long wait for excited fans. The Netflix American comedy-drama first delighted audiences when it premiered back in 2021. And now, fans can buckle in for more as the wait for a fresh batch of episodes is finally over. ‌ The previous season left viewers on the edge of their seats as Georgia was handcuffed for murder amid her nuptials, shattering her dream of a happily ever after. Netflix has since teased fans with a hint. ‌ "It's always been Ginny and Georgia against the world, but the world has never come for them quite like this. Now, Ginny needs to see where she stands when push comes to shove – Is the two of them against the world something Ginny really wants to sign up for?," the streaming giant stated. As the new series has dropped, fans have been abuzz with speculations. "ANY PREDICTIONS ON THERE RELATIONSHIP? OR ANYTHING YALL WANT TO HAPPEN WITH THEM?? 4 HOURSSSSS!!!!," one fan gushed enthusiastically, taking to discussion platform Reddit alongside a photo of Press and Abby. One fan responded, "uh nothing. he's a loser and needs to stay away from her," as another pointed out, "He just likes Abby for her body, AND body shames her. He's also an overall prick to like anyone he meets." Another hopeful viewer chimed, "Hoping press turns into a better person and does right by Abby." However someone else wasn't holding back on their thoughts, "I absolutely f*****g despise this ship with every aspect of my immature, hate-fueled being but the actors are SOOOOO CUTE." ‌ Meanwhile, another fan voiced, "I honestly like the idea of Press and Abby together IF Press actually does secretly have feelings for her. The thing that made me like them as a couple was Press secretly smiling to himself when they were holding hands at the end of season 2 during the play. I know Abby has a secret crush on him as well :)" However, someone else disagreed stating, "Yeah no. She deserves better and he needs therapy." Someone else quipped, "I find that man very attractive but if memory serves, his in show character was not very nice." ‌ The successful series, which renewed in May 2023, has been eagerly awaiting its third and fourth seasons. Sarah Lampert, executive producer, shared her enthusiasm, stating: "This season we blew up our world. That's the best way to describe it." She continued to share her admiration, "The characters were pushed to new places, and the actors delivered performances that shook me to my core. The fans have been so patient, I cannot wait for them to see season three." Despite only dropping on Netflix on Thursday, Ginny and Georgia has already smashed its way to the top 10. All brand-new 10 episodes are now available to watch on the streaming platform.
