Tanushree Dutta posts distress video alleging years of harassment, says 'My health is ruined… my house is a mess'
She also wrote in the video caption, 'I'm sick and tired of this harassment!! It's been going on since 2018 #metoo. Aaj fed up hokar maine police ko call kiya... Please someone help me! Do something before it's too late.'
The harassment, according to Dutta, includes much more than just emotional distress. She spoke of frequent and unexplained loud noises outside her flat and above her ceiling, which she claims have been happening almost daily since 2020. 'I have also dealt with loud noises like this and other very very loud banging noises above my roof and outside my door almost every day at odd hours since 2020! I got tired of complaining to the building management and gave up a few years ago,' she wrote in another post.
The continuous stress, she revealed, has affected her physical and mental health. She says she now suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome. 'Today I was so unwell… Yesterday I posted and today this! Ab samajh jao sab log ki what I've been dealing with,' she said.
Tanushree also pointed to what she called 'planted maids' and said she's been left doing all her housework by herself. 'I cannot even hire maids because they planted maids in my house… I had such bad experiences with maids, coming in and stealing and doing all kinds of things. I have to do all my work. People come outside my door and…' she said, before stopping short of naming anyone directly.
In another moment, she said plainly, 'Meri tabiyat kharab ho gayi hai. Main kuch kaam nahi kar paa rahi hoon. Mera pura ghar messy ho chuka hai. I am being troubled in my own house. Please someone help me.'Dutta confirmed that she called the police out of desperation and was advised to visit the police station to lodge a formal complaint. She has indicated she will likely go in person soon to file an FIR.The video has led to a strong response from her followers online. Some posted messages of support like 'Everything will be alright! Believe in yourself' and 'Don't worry, everything will be ok.'Tanushree Dutta made national headlines in 2018 when she accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the set of the 2009 film Horn Ok Pleassss. She said she had lodged a complaint with the Cine & TV Artists Association (CINTAA) as early as 2008, but it led nowhere. She also accused director Vivek Agnihotri of asking her to "remove clothes and dance" alongside Irrfan Khan while filming Chocolate. Both Patekar and Agnihotri denied the claims. Nana Patekar was later given a clean chit in the matter, according to reports.Despite that, the case became one of the first major incidents to kick off India's #MeToo movement. Tanushree's decision to speak out back then was seen as pivotal.
Tanushree has said she will share more information soon, including the details of her upcoming police complaint. For now, she remains at home, coping as best she can. She mentioned that listening to Hindu mantras on headphones helps her manage the anxiety. The situation remains fluid. But her posts have once again stirred public debate about how women who speak up are treated, and what happens when the spotlight fades but the fear stays.

Rapper Soulja Boy Arrested In LA Hours After 35th Birthday Bash
Soulja Boy's recent arrest came just four months after a jury ordered him to pay $4 million to his former assistant, who had accused him of sexual assault in 2021. Rapper DeAndre Cortez Way, best known by his stage name Soulja Boy, was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on Sunday, August 3. According to multiple reports, the 35-year-old rapper was arrested at around 2:50 AM after the police stopped a car he was riding near Melrose and Genesse. Soulja was a passenger in that vehicle. During the traffic stop, the officers found a firearm inside the car, as reported by TMZ. He was booked on suspicion of illegally possessing a gun. Online inmate information further revealed that Soulja was officially booked under a felony charge at 6:18 AM that day. However, it still remains unclear as to why the traffic stop was made in the first place. Neither the LAPD nor the rapper's team has shared any official statement on the arrest. Soulja Boy Was Arrested Hours After He Celebrated His 35th Birthday Soulja was arrested merely hours after he celebrated his 35th birthday with his dear ones at a nightclub in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 2. He shared glimpses of the celebrations on his Instagram account. He had another reason to celebrate, as earlier that day, he released new music during a Twitch stream. It was his first release after Soulja dropped his album, The Influence, in February this year. Soulja Boy Was Accused Of Sexual Assault And Abuse By His Former Assistant The 35-year-old rapper's recent arrest came just four months after he lost a legal case. In April, Soulja was ordered by a California jury to pay $4 million to his former assistant, who had accused him of sexual assault and abuse in 2021. Back then, the woman, who was identified as Jane Doe, also claimed that Soulja held her hostage, subjected her to a hostile work environment and failed to pay her the salary she was supposed to get. While speaking with Rolling Stone four months back, Soulja said, 'The district attorney never filed charges. I was never charged or convicted of this, criminally. So, to be accused of this civilly is beyond me. I've never done any of the things they're accusing me of. I just feel like this is very unfair." Moreover, his attorney had mentioned back then that the evidence for this case does not support the verdict. 'It is unfortunate that aspersions and misperceptions of a culture were allowed to influence the trial. Mr. Way fully intends to pursue his post-trial remedies and to fight for a just result in this case," his attorney shared through an official statement. Meanwhile, the woman's legal team mentioned back then that they were 'looking forward to moving on to the punitive damages phase of the case." The case will now move to its second phase, where it will be determined if the rapper has to pay more to the woman in punitive damages.
