Princess Diana's lookalike niece Lady Eliza Spencer engaged to SA businessman
The blonde beauty and her longtime boyfriend, South African businessman Channing Millerd, took to social media to share the news with a montage of photos from their picture-perfect engagement in Santorini, Greece.
'Forever and Ever,' they captioned the post.
In one snap, a beaming Eliza shows off her gorgeous engagement ring while lovingly placing her hand on Channing's neck. Jewellery expert Nilesh Rakholia estimates the pear-shaped diamond sparkler is valued between £20 000 and £50 000 (R470 000 to R1,1 million), based on the diamond's size and setting.
The proposal itself seemed like something out of a fairytale – a table for two, complete with chilled champagne and flickering candles on a luxury hotel terrace overlooking the azure Greek waters.
Another photo captures the moment Channing, dressed in a white linen outfit, dropped to one knee to pop the question, with Eliza looking radiant in a red halter-neck maxi dress and casual flip-flops.
The announcement sparked an outpouring of congratulations, with Eliza's twin sister Lady Amelia leading the charge. 'The best news everrrrrrrr,' she gushed. 'I couldn't be happier for you both! I love you both with all my heart! The perfect couple and dream engagement.'
Fans were equally thrilled. 'Amazing happy news, huge congrats to you guys!' someone wrote on social media, while another added, 'Omg this melted my heart! What amazing news! Bless you guys. Looks stunning and so special.'

The couple's romance began at a dinner party in South Africa back in 2016. Eliza was accompanying her sister Amelia, while Channing attended as a guest of Amelia's boyfriend (now husband) Greg Mallett. Greg and Channing are longtime friends who bonded over their school days in Cape Town and shared love of sports.
It was clearly love at first sight – the pair have been inseparable ever since, often attending high-profile events such as Royal Ascot together as a foursome with Amelia and Greg.
Channing, who serves as COO of Marxhoff – the alcohol beverage company co-founded by Springboks Malcolm Marx and Steven Kitshoff – fits seamlessly into her world.

And what a world it is. The blonde model is sister to Lady Kitty Spencer (34) and brother Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp (31). Their father is Charles Spencer, brother of the late Princess of Wales.
While Charles returned to the UK from Cape Town following his 1997 divorce from the children's mother Victoria after eight years of marriage, Victoria remained in South Africa where the children were raised.
By all accounts, the Spencer family has completely embraced Channing.

Earlier this year, Eliza opened up about their relationship. 'I absolutely believe he's The One – our bond is built on so much trust, laughter and shared values. We have such a strong, loving and supportive relationship,' she said.
She added that Channing isn't just her romantic partner, but her closest friend. 'We understand each other so well and no matter what life brings we're always there for one another.'

Would You Hire a Content Creator For Your Wedding?
When social media manager Kiley Leff began to book vendors for her multi-day wedding in Antigua, she ticked off the traditional boxes: florist, band, videographer, photographer and so on. But she also added one that previous generations had never thought to request: a wedding content creator. The job description of a wedding content creator? Someone to take candid iPhone photos—and videos—of her, her fiancée, and their 80 guests that they could post on social media. 'I love the idea of things that just don't look too hyper-polished. On your wedding day, you want people to really think and believe and see that this wasn't all just super fake or embellished,' Leff says. While scrolling on Instagram, she found just the people: Alexandra O'Connor and Lois Bellamy, founders of the bridal social media firm Content for Brides. O'Connor and Bellamy, two former brand social media editors, founded Content for Brides in 2023 over lunch at Shoreditch House in London. Their idea came from both an anecdotal hunch—many of their friends asked them to take fly-on-the-wall iPhone footage during their weddings—and a keen understanding of statistical trends: 76% of U.S. adults aged between 18 and 29 are active on Instagram and 59% are active on TikTok, according to the Pew Center. They're used to sharing even the most mundane aspects of their lives, and observing the lives of others, through their phones. Of course they want to post about their wedding days. And here's the thing: the aesthetic that reigns supreme on smartphones isn't high-resolution portraiture or stylized video. It's candid (or candid-seeming) handheld content. While a professional photographer delivers posed formal portraits meant to be framed for a lifetime—Gen-Z and Millennial brides, O'Connor and Bellamy figured, might want to view their wedding through a more off-the-cuff, lo-fi lens. 'I saw this disconnect in real life of brides really missing that instant, authentic, shareable content,' O'Connor says. Then, there were just the memories themselves: while generations prior kept everything in photo albums, many today store them on iPhones or in iClouds.

A former Rolling Stone says the Met has his stolen guitar. The museum disputes it
LONDON (AP) — It's only rock 'n' roll, but it's messy. A guitar once played by two members of the Rolling Stones is at the center of a dispute between the band's former guitarist Mick Taylor and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The 1959 Gibson Les Paul was donated to the Met as part of what the New York museum calls 'a landmark gift of more than 500 of the finest guitars from the golden age of American guitar making.' The donor is Dirk Ziff, a billionaire investor and guitar collector. When the Met announced the gift in May, Taylor thought he recognized the guitar, with its distinctive 'starburst' finish, as an instrument he last saw in 1971, when the Stones were recording the album 'Exile on Main St.' at Keith Richards' rented villa in the south of France. In the haze of drugs and rock 'n' roll that pervaded the sessions, a number of instruments went missing, believed stolen. Now, Taylor and his team believe it has reappeared. The Met says provenance records show no evidence the guitar ever belonged to Taylor. 'This guitar has a long and well-documented history of ownership,' museum spokesperson Ann Ballis said. Taylor's partner and business manager, Marlies Damming, said the Met should make the guitar 'available for inspection.' 'An independent guitar expert should be able to ascertain the guitar's provenance one way or the other,' she said in a statement to The Associated Press. While its ownership is contested, there's no disputing the instrument's starring role in rock history. It was owned in the early 1960s by Keith Richards, who played it during the Rolling Stones' first appearance on 'The Ed Sullivan Show' in 1964. The Met says that performance 'ignited interest in this legendary model.' The guitar – nicknamed the 'Keithburst' – was also played by guitar legends Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page. Taylor says he got it from Richards in 1967, two years before he joined the Stones, replacing original member Brian Jones. Jones died in 1969. Taylor left the band in 1974, reuniting with them for the Stones' 50th anniversary tour in 2012-2013. Jeff Allen, who was Taylor's manager and publicist for decades from the 1990s, said Taylor 'told me he got it as a present from Keith,' and also mentioned the theft. 'Mick did tell me that the guitar solo that he became quite famous for, on 'Can't You Hear Me Knocking,' was with the Les Paul that got stolen,' Allen said. The Met's records say the Les Paul was owned by Richards until 1971, when it was acquired by record producer and manager Adrian Miller, who died in 2006. The guitar has changed hands several times since then, and reappeared twice in public. It was put up for auction by Christie's in 2004, when it failed to sell. Ziff bought it in 2016, and loaned it to the Met in 2019 for an exhibition titled 'Play it Loud: Instruments of Rock & Roll.' It's unclear what will happen next. The Met, which plans to open a new gallery dedicated to its collection of American guitars, says it has not been contacted by Taylor or his representatives. ___ Associated Press writer Jocelyn Noveck in New York contributed to this story. Where Was 'Wednesday' Filmed?
On Location peels back the curtain on some of your favorite films, television shows, and more. Dark, deadpan, and fabulously glossy—Netflix's Wednesday, a spin-off of The Addams Family, quickly found its place as one of 2022's most zeitgeisty hits. In the days following its release, the series surpassed Stranger Things as the most-watched new series in its week of release, racking up 341.2 million hours of watch time across the world. The series stars Jenna Ortega (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, You) as the eponymous Wednesday, the daughter of Gomez and Morticia Addams (played by Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones). The series follows Wednesday as she enrolls at Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts, after she's expelled from her high school for an incident involving piranhas, the school swimming pool and the boys' water polo team. Wednesday. (L to R) Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Joonas Suotamo as Lurch, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams in episode 201 of Wednesday. Cr. Jonathan Hession/Netflix © 2025 Netflix Despite the speedy recommission from Netflix, season two of the smash-hit series has been three years in the making. However, fans are treated to a host of new famous faces during the new adventures, including Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump and Billie Piper as Isadora Capri. Principal photography for the second series began in May 2024 in Ireland, with shooting taking place over six months. While much of Wednesday's first outing made use of Romania's Gothic backdrops, it was Ireland that the production team turned to this time around. On the team's decision to shoot in Ireland, showrunner Miles Millar said, 'Everything about Ireland fits the sensibility of the show. We have incredible woods. We have beautiful castles. We have the lush greens, the gray skies. Even though it was summer, some nights were very cold. We were shivering, but it looked fantastic. There's something very magical about the light in Ireland that really lends itself to the show and gives it something that's very unique and special that translates to the screen. Even though the show is set in Vermont, it makes it feel more aesthetically like a Tim Burton setting.' Where was Wednesday season 2 filmed? Wednesday. Owen Behan/Netflix © 2025 Netflix Ashford Studios Much of Wednesday's second season was filmed at Ashford Studios in Ireland's Wicklow County.
