The 'Daddy Day Care' star, 64, revealed his son Eric Murphy recently tied the knot with the 'Bad Boys' actor's daughter Jasmin Lawrence.

'Actually, they got married, like, two weeks ago,' Murphy said while on Thursday's episode of 'The Jennifer Hudson Show.'
'They went off…. Everybody was making the big wedding plans, and they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them.'
The comedian joked that he and his 'Boomerang' and 'Life' costar, 60, are now bound by marriage.
'Yeah, we're in-laws,' said Murphy. 'And he doesn't have to pay for that big wedding now.'

When host Jennifer Hudson, 43, who the actor starred in 'Dreamgirls' with, asked if Murphy belted out any tunes at the wedding, he reiterated that the ceremony was private between the newlyweds.
'No, they didn't have a wedding. They went off and they got married at the church. They just had the two of them and the preacher,' Murphy stated. 'They had a quiet little thing. So I think we'll have like a big party or something.'
While they have festivities to plan, the 'Beverly Hills Cop' vet is also planning what's next in his and Lawrence's professional life.

'There's a bunch of ideas that we have,' he said. 'There's one thing: 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.' It's a movie from the ʼ60s. I want to remake it and do with all the funniest, like a who's who of Black comedy. That's what I want to do. And, of course, Martin would be in that.'
Eric, 35, who Murphy shares with ex-wife Paulette McNeely, and Jasmin, 29, Lawrence's eldest daughter with his ex-wife Patricia Southall, first started dating in 2021.
Eric debuted their romance on Instagram that June with a sweet selfie of the two.
'Head over heels in LOVE with YOU @jasmin_lawerence,' he wrote at the time. '#myotherhalf #equallyyoked #iloveyou.'

A month later, Jasmin gave the love right back, gushing on Instagram: 'Happy birthday, my love! I'm so incredibly blessed to know you, to love you, and to have you by my side.'
In 2022, the actress told Daily Pop that growing up in a similar situation as Eric bonded the two.
'There's so much that I don't have to explain, he just gets,' Jasmin expressed. 'And that's really, really nice.'

She added, 'I think we just balance each other out really, really well…so it's a good match.'
In 2024, the couple got engaged in a room with dozens of candles, white roses and a giant heart hanging on the wall.
'God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny,' Jasmin wrote on Instagram at the time. 'We couldn't be more excited for this next chapter. Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so magical.'

And both Murphy and Lawrence couldn't be happier that their children have found love together in real life.
'It's beautiful,' the 'National Security' alum told E! News in September 2024. 'They both are beautiful, young adults and they get along so well.'
Lawrence added, 'Whoever would've thought that my child and Eddie's child would get together? It's just what it is.'
Murphy, meanwhile — who is dad to 10 kids total – is looking to once again run daddy daycare.

'Just our gene pool is going to make this funny baby,' he teased with CBS Mornings in July 2024.
