Essex seamer Sam Cook set for England debut in Zimbabwe Test
England have named two uncapped players in a 13-man squad to play Zimbabwe in a one-off Test later this month.
The Essex duo of seamer Sam Cook and batsman Jordan Cox could both make their Test debuts in the four-day match, which will be played at Trent Bridge from May 22.
Cook is expected to start, with the 27-year-old benefiting from the injury-enforced absences of Mark Wood, Olly Stone, Dillon Pennington, Chris Woakes and Brydon Carse. Jofra Archer is also unavailable as he is playing in the IPL.
Cox may have to wait a little longer for his England debut and is unlikely to be in the playing XI unless there is an injury. The Durham opener Ben McKinney was discussed at the Test selection

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has flown home injured from England 's World Cup qualifying camp in Spain.
