The presence of Russell Wilson during spring practices has done wonders for New York Giants wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.
While it's still way too early to bank on Hyatt being a big-time contributor for the Giants in 2025, the 23-year-old is certainly turning heads at OTAs and minicamp. Recently, Wilson revealed he's not exactly surprised at the fact that Hyatt looks like he's progressing in a big way. The veteran quarterback mentioned that he saw Hyatt perform at a high level at Tennessee and even on tape during his previous runs with the Giants.
After two seasons in the NFL, Hyatt still has plenty to prove. So far, the former third-round pick has struggled to live up to being a First-Team All-SEC recipient and a Bilentinikoff Award winner in the NFL. During his rookie season, Hyatt caught 23 passes for 373 yards. Last season, he had eight catches for 62 yards.
Heading into year three, Hyatt has yet to find the end zone.

"I think that the biggest thing is just consistency that I can bring to him every day too and just making sure that I'm always giving him the extra opportunities down the field, but also not just down the field, but in any play we've got and spending extra time on the field," Wilson told reporters this week, via Giants Wire.
"He's got great work ethic, Jalin does, and I think he's got a great grit to him. I think that he wants to be great every day, and he's got all the special pieces to it all."
Work ethic is half the battle in the NFL, and a little increase in opportunities can go a long way for a young player looking to find a steady role. Right now, the Giants are practicing without the top wideout, Malik Nabers. As Wilson's top target recovers from a toe injury, Hyatt has taken advantage of the increased workload, putting it all together with his new quarterback. So far, Wilson is impressed.
"I think what makes a great receiver is his ability to catch the ball and contest the situations—he does a great job of that, and he's got a great opportunity, in my opinion, this year to really set the tone in a great way," Wilson finished.
"I've got all the belief in Jalin and who he's going to be and what he's going to mean to us and make clutch plays for us when it really matters in great way. I'm excited for what he's going to do this year and the rest of his career."

Giants end losing streak behind Logan Webb, big hit from Wilmer Flores
Wilmer Flores delivered the big swing that saved the San Francisco Giants from a sweep at the Cleveland Guardians' hands and Logan Webb from an undeserved loss. Down one and with the go-ahead runner in scoring position in the seventh inning, manager Bob Melvin opted for his RBI maestro to pinch hit for Christian Koss in the ninth spot. Flores got ahead in the count, fouled off a pair of fastballs before lining a slider down the third-base line. With yet another stellar pitching performance, those two runs were enough to secure a 2-1 win on Thursday afternoon. Webb has done just about everything a team could ask from their ace. He had never faced this Cleveland Guardians team, but a five-pitch mix he's employed this year to keep familiar foes on their toes worked wonders against this lineup. He held the Guardians to one run on seven hits over seven innings and struck out nine. Webb struck out a pair and stranded a runner in his final inning, but walked to the dugout down 1-0 and on the hook for a loss. More For You Ostler: What should you do when ICE comes to the ballpark? Bay Area teams are already preparing ICE agents denied entry to Dodger Stadium parking lot hours before game against Padres That's been a familiar feeling for Webb most of his career and indicative of the Giants offensive woes of late – they had two hits and were 1-for-19 with runners in scoring position heading into the final game of this three-game series. Webb's nine strikeouts give him 114 this year, which lofts him into a tie with Atlanta's Chris Sale for second most in the National League. He lowered his ERA to 2.49, and is seemingly in good position to represent the Giants as an All-Star.

Ravens Derrick Henry Reveals Favorite Cheat Meal on 'Rich Eisen Show' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Derrick Henry is preparing to enter season No. 10 in the NFL. Henry will head into year No. 2 with the Baltimore Ravens, as the 31-year-old running back appears as motivated as ever to play at a high level and help lead his team to a Super Bowl. Advertisement After spending the first eight seasons of his career with the Tennessee Titans, Henry took his talents to Baltimore. In his first season sharing a backfield with quarterback, Lamar Jackson, Henry remained a workhorse, carrying the ball more than 300 times for the fourth time in his career (325). Henry's 325 rushing attempts brought him 1,921 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. The yards trailed only Saquon Barkley (2,005) and the TDs were tied for the lead league with Jahmyr Gibbs and James Cook. As he gets further from his thirtieth birthday, Henry's offseason training regimen has become a hot topic of conversation. Reportedly, Henry spends approximately $240 thousand per year on body maintenance. While he appears to treat his body like a sacred temple, even "King Henry" enjoys the occasional cheat meal. Advertisement On Wednesday, during an appearance on the "Rich Eisen Show", Henry revealed his favorite cheat meal. "I'm a breakfast person, so I like steak, eggs, and potatoes. I like French toast or even a waffle," Henry said. Rich Eisen attempted to dig deeper, asking if Henry enjoys a sugary cereal or a slice of pizza as part of his cheat meal. "No cereal. I don't eat cereal. Pizza, every once and a while, but I'm not a big pizza person," Henry said.
