Kim Kardashian mocked over 'ridiculous' detail in sexy Paris snaps after testimony in $10M jewelry heist trial

Daily Mail19-05-2025

She's not afraid of making a fashion statement.
But fans had a thing or two to say about Kim Kardashian 's latest bold look.
The reality star, 44, dropped a slew of snaps documenting her latest adventures in Paris which saw her clad in a feathered pale yellow duster, plunging lace top, tan high heels and a rather out of place accessory - a navy baseball cap.
'A day in Paris,' Kim - who has been in the French capitol to testify at the trial of a gang accused of robbing her at gunpoint in 2016 - captioned the Instagram post, which she shared Sunday.
Of course, the odd combination did not go unnoticed by Instagram followers who poked fun at the unusual pairing in the comments section.
'Couture show at 5, baseball game at 6,' one hilariously remarked.
'Stunning outfit,' one commenter began before calling out the cap. 'But why the hat? It looks ridiculous.'
'I don't get it a hat with an elegant dress (sobbing emoji). she's beautiful though,' another wrote.
'That cap (blue hat emoji) just ruins the whole look,' another posted, adding a face slap emoji for good measure.
Another claimed Rihanna was the only person who could pull off the look: 'Sorry, this literally style only looks good on Rihanna.'
Kim wore the look last Tuesday for lunch with her mother Kris Jenner.
Kim travelled to Paris to testify at the trial of the gang accused of robbing her at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room in 2016.
She took the stand last Tuesday and also attended Lauren Sanchez's bachelorette party in the City of Love on Friday.
A source close to Kardashian has since told DailyMail.com: 'Spending girl time at Lauren's bachelorette was a great way to end the week after testifying. She's glad it's over but thankful she was asked to testify as part of the trial.'
Last week Kim made a tearful appearance to testify in court at the trial of a gang accused of robbing her at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room in 2016.
The reality star broke down in tears as she told the court she forgives the defendant, despite fearing she was going to be raped and killed during the $10 million heist.
Kim arrived at the court wearing a $3 million necklace by Samer Halimeh New York, crafted in 18K white gold and featuring 80 diamonds, culminating in a 10.13-carat pear-shaped center stone.
She added a Sloan Pave diamond ear cuff worth $8,300.
Inside the courtroom, Kardashian broke down in tears as she shared her fears that she thought she would raped that evening.
Kardashian stood in the packed courtroom across from her mother. As she entered the Voltaire Room, the star was greeted by cheers of 'wow' from the audience.
Her voice broke as she sobbed while telling the courtroom: 'I just want to be heard and understood. I appreciate the letter, those words. I forgive you. But it doesn't change the emotion and the feelings, the trauma, and my life being changed forever,' after the judge read aloud an apology note written to Kardashian in 2017.
'I came to Paris for Fashion Week, Paris was always a place that I loved so much. I used to walk around the city when I woke up in the middle of the night. I always felt very safe.' Kardashian told the court.
'It was around three in the morning. I heard stomping up the stairs when I was in bed. I kept calling out for my sister and one of my best friends, but no one answered me. And in my bedroom come in a few police officers, or what I assumed were police officers as they were in police uniforms,' she said, recalling the night of the robbery.
She told the court that the attackers arrived dressed as police officers, with the concierge in handcuffs.
Kardashian described how they tied her hands with cable ties, dragged her to the bathtub and pointed a gun at her temple.
One robber gestured toward her ring. 'Then I heard one of the gentlemen forcefully say 'Ring! Ring!' in English, with an accent, pointing.'
The suspects are accused of tying up Kardashian with zip ties and duct tape before making off with jewellery, including a $4million engagement ring given to her by her then-husband rapper Kanye West (now known as Ye), according to investigators.
'And I was still in such shock, because honestly a lot of terrorist attacks were happening in the world, and I thought it was some sort of terrorist attack, and I didn't immediately understand it was for my jewellery.
'They pulled me back in the room once they realised they had everything, and they threw me on the bed.
'I was pretty hysterical and I just looked at the concierge and told him what is going to happen to us, I have to make it home to my babies,' Kardashian said.
She said at one point she feared she was going to be raped as the robbers threw her on the bed and one of them grabbed her leg. 'But he ended up tying me up and closed my legs,' she added.
'I thought about my sister, thought she would walk in and see me shot dead and have that memory in her forever.
'I absolutely thought I was going to die.
'After a few minutes, I didn't hear anything, so I (moved over) to the sink, and it was a marble sink so I cut my ties.
'When I got downstairs, Simone (her stylist) let me know that she had called my sister Kourtney, and her and the security were on the way. We weren't sure at that point if they were going to come back. So we ran on the balcony to hide in the bushes.
'I remember calling my mom from the bushes to let her know what happened. And then I think while we were waiting for my security, we were trying to come up with a plan, if we should jump from the window, as it was just a one-storey building.'
French prosecutors say the men who orchestrated the heist - most in their 60s and 70s - were part of a seasoned criminal ring that tracked Kardashian's movements through social media.
Two of the defendants have admitted being at the scene. One claims he didn't know who she was.
Twelve suspects were originally charged. One has died and another was excused due to illness.
The French press dubbed the group les papys braqueurs - 'the grandpa robbers' - but prosecutors insist they were no harmless retirees.
Yunice Abbas, 71, who is among the 10 suspects standing trial, many in their late 60s or 70s and dubbed 'the grandpa gang,' has told French media that he and others who took part in the robbery did not know who Kardashian was.
'It's not her, it's her diamond we targeted,' Abbas told C8 TV a few years ago. Abbas has admitted his participation in the robbery - writing a book about his role.
In interviews with French media, he said he was sorry for what he did and wanted to apologise to Kardashian.
There is no possibility of a guilty plea in such cases and Abbas is standing trial despite admitting to playing a role in the robbery.
Frank Berton, a lawyer representing 68-year-old Aomar Ait Khedache, nicknamed 'Omar the Old,' said last month he hoped the fact that Kardashian is a global star won't affect the trial.
Khedache is accused of being the gang's ringleader, which he denies.
'This trial attracts international attention because of who the plaintiff, the victim, is,' Berton said.
Kardashian jetted into the French capital last Monday, sharing a picture of her view from the plane that she captioned simply with a French flag.
While it is not known what the SKIMS founder got up to the night before her day in court, her mother Jenner took to Instagram to reveal she had spent the evening at dinner with partner Corey Gamble and Michael Coste.
The suspects in the trial are accused of tying up billionaire Kardashian with zip ties and duct tape before making off with jewels, including a $4 million engagement ring given to her by her then-husband rapper Kanye West (now known as Ye), according to investigators.
Cameras are usually not allowed in courtrooms in France, and Kardashian's testimony was not broadcast live.

British blokes have forgotten how to dress for the sun – follow these tips for a more stylish summer look

REMEMBER when we used to laugh at German blokes on holiday? You could spot them a mile off, with their mullets, vests, questionable moustaches, beer bellies and skimpy swimwear. Well, now they are laughing at us because while they discovered style, we stole their look and made it worse by adding football shirts and Crocs. Germans now cut a dash with their stylish minimalism. The French embody effortless chic. The Italians and Spanish dress with cool Latin style. We, meanwhile, have become the poorly dressed man of Europe. British men have forgotten how to dress for the sun and stock our summer wardrobes with football shirts, muscle tees, bucket hats, skinny jeans, ¾-length trackies and oversized sunglasses. Our identity crisis is a national disgrace. On Spanish beaches our kids don't bury us in the sand because it's fun. They bury us because they're embarrassed by us, like cats burying their mess. Not so long ago, summer used to be a stress-free affair for men of my age — I'm 55. On beaches we disappeared into the background, unnoticeable behind expanding midriffs and cloaks of matted body hair. We sat behind windbreaks, vests on, knotted hankies on head, trousers rolled up, reading the Racing Post. I'm a men's fashion expert - these style mistakes are ruining your look and could even damage expensive items No one expected anything of us. Women fretted about swimwear while we were allowed to gracefully surrender into middle-age spread. We only had two beach role models, Peter Stringfellow with his thong, and David Hasselhoff, who spent half the 1980s sucking in his stomach and the other half driving a talking car. But today more is expected of us. Blame social media if you want. The world has moved on. Men are expected to care more about how they dress. But in the UK it seems we didn't get the memo and while Europeans got more stylish, British blokes spun off at a tangent, like a divergent timeline in Marvel's Loki series. But you can do better. Some men try to break the mould, but get led astray trying to emulate celebrity role models. 12 12 Timothée Chalamet can get away with his cargo-shorts-socks-and-sandals ensemble because he's Timothée Chalamet — but you are not. Leave the short-shorts to Paul Mescal — because even he doesn't look good in them. And despite what the fashion mags tell you, bold matching tops and trousers do not look good on men over 25. Just look at Brad Pitt in his garish tie-dye tracksuit while out in New York City earlier this month. If a Hollywood superstar can't pull it off, you definitely can't. There are celebrity outliers, however. Take some pointers from Ryan Gosling, who makes it look easy with plain shirts and chinos, or David Beckham and his neutral bomber jacket, white T-shirt, pleated linen trousers and white trainers, or slightly more daring, Michael B Jordan in an animal print shirt with cool tonal trousers and leather shoes. Now we are re-establishing better relations with our continental brethren, it's time to smarten up our act — and the good news is, it's not hard. How do I know? Because I did it. I too was once like you, a hopeless summer fashion victim. I wore cargo shorts, West Ham footie shirts pulled over my dad-bod beer belly, and athleisure sandals. My swimwear of choice was below the knee board shorts. On one holiday to the South of France I flirted with budgie smugglers after a traumatic experience in a French open-air swimming pool where board shorts were banned. I didn't realise and was frog-marched from the pool by lifeguards who made me purchase tight trunks from a vending machine. Walking back into the pool in my tiny new Lycra swimwear was like the walk of shame in Game Of Thrones. Today a 5-inch inseam is as daring as I get (which is good style advice for any man). My fashion salvation happened after I met a younger, stylish woman, who is now my wife. Stephanie, 45, knocked me into shape and taught me how to dress. It didn't take a lot of effort and I even get compliments occasionally from my 23-year-old daughter and 18-year-old son. So, as you head off for your hols, take a few tips from me. Ditch the football shirts, no one in Mykonos cares about Burnley FC. Ditch anything with big logos on it. Wear leather sandals or espadrilles. Choose linen or seersucker short-sleeved shirts. You can't go wrong with a polo shirt and tailored shorts in neutral palettes. Replace your battered baseball cap with a Panama hat. Treat yourself to some understated sunglasses. Bodies should get some attention too. Before 2006, we could get away with a hairy dad bod, but then the film Casino Royale hit the big screen, and when Daniel Craig emerged from the sea like God chiselled from marble he ruined it for all of us. Now we're expected to look presentable in swimwear. So, get your back waxed, manscape your chest hair. Have a fake tan, but don't go mad. Ask for a light one. Get your eyebrows shaped and tinted. It's not unusual any more and makes a big difference, I promise. No one is going to think any less of you. Maybe swap a pint for a glass of rosé occasionally, or a mojito. Just a few small tweaks and the new stylish you will fit right in on beaches from the Costas to the Greek islands. Make the UK cool again, just don't mention Brexit. WHAT TO BUY NOW 12

Justin and Hailey Bieber's Father's Day 'ends in row as she calls him a child'

Justin Bieber, who spent his Father's Day sharing wild rants, was reportedly branded a 'f***ing child' by wife Hailey amid concerns to their marriage The recent Father's Day was seemingly not a celebratory occasion for Justin Bieber after he spent the day posting erratic messages on social media. On Sunday, Justin got his phone out and went on a wild rant in which he confessed to being 'broken', 'angry' and 'exhausted' from 'thinking about himself all the time'. While most people shared wholesome family snaps of their children and partners, Justin completely snubbed wife Hailey, who he previously admitted he once told her she would never be on the cover of Vogue. On the day, he shared snaps of himself holding what appeared to be a joint and later told fans he was "a dad that's not to be f***ed with." ‌ ‌ He then shared multiple photos of his lavish gifts, including an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch, which retails for $38,000, two Prada backpacks and an Apple laptop. However, captioning the eye-wateringly expensive haul he wrote: "Happy daddies day to me u lil ho," with many thinking the crude remark was a dig at wife, Hailey. Hailey took a swipe at him in the comment section following his brutal remark to her on Mother's Day where he posed: "Mother's Day sucks a**." She responded under his post: "Father's Day sucks a**." And now, according to recent reports, his wife Hailey was 'beyond furious' about his erratic posts and branded him a "f***ing child" before asking him to get professional help. Speaking to The Sun, an insider claimed the post 'set her off' as she told him 'it was one of the dumbest things he's ever done'. "She's been telling him for a while to get help - see a therapist, talk to someone who can help him manage his anger and mood swings. Hailey didn't want him to post that message," they said. ‌ "She's fed up with his childish behaviour and the constant negativity he brings onto himself. She told him to stop being a 'f***ing child' and to finally start listening to the people who care about him." Many of Justin's fans were convinced that his Father's Day posts, shared over a worrying six-hour spree, were the result of his dramatic mental health spiral. ‌ They were followed at 5.50am last week by a long Instagram story in which he confessed to being 'broken', 'angry' and 'exhausted' from thinking about himself all the time. He told fans: "People keep telling me to heal. Don't you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already. I know I'm broken. I know I have anger issues. 'The harder I try to grow, the more focused on myself I am. Jesus is the only person who keeps me wanting to make my life about others. Because honestly, I'm exhausted with thinking about myself lately, aren't you?,' the post concluded.
