DeSean Jackson gives four star WR from Oregon fresh start
This will mark Ryan Pellum's second college stop after spending his freshman season at Oregon. The Long Beach, California, native entered the transfer portal in January. Days later, he was arrested and later pleaded no contest to aggravated assault using a semi-automatic firearm in connection with a December 25 incident in Long Beach. Two additional special allegations were dismissed as part of the plea deal.
Before his time at Oregon, Ryan Pellum was one of the most sought-after receivers in the 2024 recruiting class. He was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 171 overall recruit nationally, while also checking in as the No. 28 wide receiver and the No. 12 overall player in California. His high school career at Millikan included more than 3,700 receiving yards, multiple 1,000-yard seasons, and honors such as the Moore League Player of the Year in both 2021 and 2023.
At Oregon in 2024, Ryan Pellum appeared in four games, utilizing a redshirt season. He saw limited action, playing three offensive snaps and eight on special teams, and fielded a punt in a win over Michigan.
For DeSean Jackson, landing Ryan Pellum represents a high-upside gamble. The new Delaware State coach, who built his NFL career on explosive plays, now has a young receiver with elite speed, strong route-running skills, and a proven high school production record. If Pellum can make a smooth transition and stay on the field, he could be a central figure in the Hornets' offensive attack.

Among the many Oregon cheerleaders getting ready for 2025 is Annie Finemel, who has attracted plenty of attention for her preparations and dedication to the game. Finemel is heading into her second year with the cheerleading team. According to her Instagram page, she is also a member of the Oregon Chi Omega Greek organization and SAG. Between her Instagram and TikTok accounts, she boasts several thousand followers. Her content ranges from videos with her friends to posts telling her life's story and showing what she's had going on this summer: Expectations for 2025 The Ducks obviously won't have the exactly same lineup of players who won them the conference title last year. The biggest loss by far is quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who left for the NFL, leaving Dante Moore as the new starter despite throwing less than 10 passes for the Ducks last season. Nine other starters from last season wound up getting drafted in April, leaving nearly half of the starting lineup in need of big changes from head coach Dan Lanning. There's a pretty clear path back to the Big Ten Championship Game, if not the College Football Playoff, for the Ducks. After a game against FCS powerhouse Montana State, Oregon will play Oklahoma State, Northwestern and their arch-rivals Oregon State before things really kick into gear. Arguably their toughest game of the season will be the September 27 tilt against Penn State at Beaver Stadium. That will be followed by a game against top-25 Indiana. Round out the final half of their schedule will be Rutgers, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, USC and Washington. Nearly every game on that schedule looks winnable in some form or other. (AP) — Jeongeun Lee5 shot a 6-under 67 on Friday to take the lead in The Standard Portland Classic, while 65-year-old Juli Inkster fell short in her bid to become the oldest player to make a cut in LPGA Tour history. Lee5, the 36-year-old South Korean player, had a 12-under 132 total at Columbia Edgewater. Winless on the LPGA Tour, she birdied the final five holes on her front nine in the morning round. 'When we are playing well, we expect it to continue,' Lee5 said. 'So, I want to really concentrate and focus going into the weekend. The past two rounds I had great energy, good shots, and good putts.' Inkster, the Hall of Famer who won the 1999 event, followed her opening 69 with a 74 to miss the cut by a stroke. JoAnne Carner was 64 when she made the cut in the 2004 Chick Fil-A Charity Championship. 'Wasn't very inspiring,' Inkster said. 'I didn't drive the ball as well as I did yesterday.
