Kaizer Chiefs misfit has 'a great time' whenever he leaves the premises
Rwanda National Team manager Adel Amrouche has confirmed French interest in Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari. When he arrived, the 25-year-old was a regular in the Chiefs first team, but inopportune injuries have pushed him down the pecking order. Ntwari, who came from TS Galaxy in July 2024, has only made seven appearances for Chiefs.

Despite his struggles at club level, Ntwari has been a regular for his country during World Cup qualifiers. Ironically, Ntwari's Rwanda are in Group C of qualifiers alongside South Africa. They're sitting relatively pretty with eight points after six outings. It's not out of the question that both nations could qualify for the 2026 showpiece staged in Mexico, Canada and the United States. 25-year-old Ntwari, who stands at 1.94m tall, has 12 caps for his nation and will look to build on that as we approach a World Cup year.
'I trust the coaches at Chiefs, and I hope between now and June, he's going to get his chance to play again because we need him for the rest of the qualifiers.'
'He was good. I thought the lack of game time would affect him, but he was good. You can see his teammates trust him, and I also trust him. I have a lot of confidence in him because of his qualities. "If you don't want to do that at the end of the day, then why are you actually playing the sport? We play to, of course, win World Cups and become number one in the world. So, I actually think we're in quite a good position. "And even if the T20s were leading up to being in the finals and not winning, I think a lot of experience comes from that, whether it's T20 or ODI. I think we know what it takes to actually get to the final. And hopefully this time, you know, winning it." South Africa's first fixture in the upcoming World Cup is scheduled to get underway on 3 October against England women at the M Channaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
