Over the years we've spent the pre-Lenten season directing you to the best local paczki and pancakes for the holiday, but today we're serving up some funkier offerings.
Short rib beignets from Boeufhaus: Stuffed with tender shredded short rib and paired with a rich gravy, these Ukrainian Village beauties offer the perfect doughnut for a sweets avoider.
Pro tip: These are a bargain at $2 a piece during happy hour, but otherwise $15 for an order.
Polly Paczki at the Violet Hour: Served only on Tuesday, this pre-Lenten sipper costs $18 and features Pierre Ferrand 1840, Amaro Abano, Fragola, a strawberry liqueur and lemon along with a tiny strawberry jam-filled paczki garnish from Daisies.
Daisies is also offering chef Leigh Omilinsky's full-sized paczki through Tock for $24 per half dozen.
Pierogi Kitchen in Wicker Park and Wurst Behavior in Irving Park: You can get rose petal paczki with candied orange and glaze along with ultra trendy Dubai chocolate and pistachio ($3.95) through March 9 on a walk-in basis.
Paczki Stout from Marz Community Brewing: What Fat Tuesday would be complete without a paczki flavored beer next to a dozen jelly-filled?
This double milk stout made with Peruvian chocolate offers a rich sipping sensation before the fasting begins and is a great party gift.
The beer went on sale Sunday, and if you're lucky you can still pick up a four-pack ($15.99) from the shop in Bridgeport while supplies last.

Justin Bieber Shares New Glimpse of Son Jack Ahead of His 1st Birthday

Originally appeared on E! Online is enjoying some quality time with his son . The 'Daisies' singer shared a glimpse into his sweet bond with his and 's 11-month-old in an August 9 Instagram carousel, just weeks before celebrating his 1st birthday. In one photo, the Grammy winner can be seen looking surprised as baby Jack blocks his face with his foot. The following snap shows the father-son duo snuggled up on the couch, with Justin showing off his son's golden locks before sweetly planting a kiss on his head. And after fans got a glimpse of the adorable post, they were quick to jump in the comments section to gush over the pics and point out that Jack's blonde hair already signals that he's Justin's mini-me. After all, Justin sported a full head of blonde hair himself when he was younger. 'You can just tell,' one user wrote in the comments, 'Jack is Justin's double.' More from E! Directed by Cole Bennett, boyfriend of Hailey's BFF Camila Morrone, the black-and-white visuals—released on Aug. 5—featured the 11-month-old on a family cruise with his parents. In one scene, Jack and his mom took a dip in the water during a visit to the beach, while the family of three snuggled on the deck of a boat in another frame. A third shot showed Justin sweetly kissing his son's toes as the two basked in the sun together. At another point in the video, Justin, 31, and Hailey, 28, could be seen embracing after taking a swim. But while they haven't been shy about sharing glimpses into their romance over the years, the couple—who tied the knot in 2018—has endured their fair share of breakup rumors. And for the Rhode Skin founder, it was especially difficult to deal with bogus divorce rumors immediately after becoming a new mom. 'Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I've ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult,' Hailey told Vogue in May. 'And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, 'They're getting divorced' and 'they're this' and 'they're not happy.'" 'And that's the thing: I have a real life," she added. "My real life is that I get to wake up to my beautiful family and my son and my friends and I have people that know me and love me and I love them." Justin Bieber's Fans Move From One Hit Single To The Next

When Justin Bieber surprise-released his new album Swag about a month ago, he focused fans' attention on lead single "Daisies." That tune earned a huge debut on a number of Billboard charts and has largely fallen since then, although it has been picking up steam lately on pop radio. As people move past "Daisies," they've turned their attention to another track from the same project — "Yukon" — which this week reaches a new peak on several tallies and even manages to debut on multiple Billboard rankings at the same time. 'Yukon' Debuts on Three Charts Bieber's "Yukon," the second official single from Swag, launches on a trio of the rankings in the United States. It opens highest on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, where it begins its time at No. 7. Bieber has now collected 17 top 10s on the list of the top-selling tunes in those styles and a milestone 25 total hits on the roster throughout his career. Radio Airplay Begins for 'Yukon' The same Swag single is also just getting started at various radio formats. "Yukon" opens at No. 35 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and just below the top 40 region, at No. 41, on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay list. In both instances, Bieber collects his milestone tenth win. 'Yukon' Climbs to New Peaks on Multiple Tallies As "Yukon" debuts on three charts, the cut hits a new all-time best showing on two other tallies. On the Rhythmic Airplay chart, "Yukon" surges from No. 33, where it debuted last week, to No. 17. At the same time, it improves its standing by just one space on the R&B Digital Song Sales roster, leaping to No. 5. R&B Success Keeps 'Yukon' at the Top "Yukon" is proving to be a huge win specifically in the R&B space, as it's being pushed to that audience, while "Daisies" caters more to those who favor pop. "Yukon" holds at No. 1 on the R&B Streaming Songs ranking and No. 3 on the Hot R&B Songs chart, even as it declines on more generalized lists like the Hot 100 and Streaming Songs tally. 'Daisies' Gains Ground on Pop Radio "Daisies" is also slipping on the Hot 100, Streaming Songs chart, and both of Billboard's worldwide tallies, but when it comes to radio, the still-new cut is gaining ground. Three weeks into its life on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay charts, "Daisies" grows to new highs, hitting No. 17 on the top 40 list and No. 18 on the ranking aimed at a more mature pop-loving audience. Another Radio Songs Win for Justin Bieber The cut also becomes another top 40 smash for Bieber on the Radio Songs ranking, where "Yukon" has yet to land. "Daisies" barely makes it to that space as it opens at No. 45, giving the Canadian Grammy winner his thirty-seventh placement on the hugely competitive list.
