Naidu's tweet highlighted the government's accomplishments, stating, "The NDA coalition government, formed with the blessings of the people for the reconstruction of the state, has successfully completed one year of rule. We are committed to fulfilling the aspirations of our citizens while overcoming numerous challenges."
The Chief Minister enumerated various welfare initiatives launched within the year, including services for the underprivileged, pensions, Anna canteens, the Deepam-2 scheme, and fisheries support. He also mentioned efforts to boost employment in the private sector through Mega DSC, teaching jobs, and attracting investment.
On agriculture, Naidu revealed that the government has prioritised farmers' welfare, purchasing 55 lakh metric tonnes of grain and preparing to roll out financial assistance under the Annadata Sukhibhav scheme this month. Additionally, he reiterated the administration's commitment to irrigation projects, with ongoing efforts to ensure water availability for every acre.
Notable achievements also include the resumption of the state capital's construction, progress on the Polavaram project, the establishment of a railway zone, and the protection of the regional steel plant.
Naidu concluded his message by thanking those who contributed to the success of the government's first year and promised that, bolstered by public support, more welfare and development initiatives would follow. "The first step in good governance has instilled trust and confidence among the people. I wish the next step to be even more successful," he remarked.

Ayyanna criticises previous YSRCP govt for neglecting Thandava reservoir
Anakapalli: Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu criticised that the previous YSRCP government totally neglected Thandava reservoir and failed to take up repair works of the gates with an estimated budget of Rs 7 lakh. After releasing water from the Thandava reservoir, considered as the major project of the district, here on Sunday, Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu announced, 'The Thandava reservoir project will provide water to crops in Narsipatnam, Payakaraopeta and Kakinada district.' About 51,465 acres will be used for irrigation purpose through the reservoir. Of this, 32,689 acres will be supplied to Anakapalli district and 18,776 acres to Kakinada district, he added. The Assembly Speaker lauded the efforts of Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha for undertaking 18 development works utilising disaster relief fund of Rs 2.1 crore. In addition, 57 works have been sanctioned for Rs 4.2 crore. He suggested that water should be utilised cautiously as the current water storage is 2.92 tmcft, while the water storage capacity of the reservoir is 4.96 tmcft. Ayyanna Patrudu further informed that the road construction from Nathavaram to Thandava reservoir will be commenced soon by the roads and buildings department at a cost of Rs 8 crore. Speaking on the occasion, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha said, 'Thousands of farmers depend on the Thandava project. The reservoir was neglected by the previous government, and after the formation of the NDA government, the reservoir gates were repaired. We are facilitating irrigation water to 50,000 acres through the reservoir.' The Home Minister stated that the NDA government was giving top priority to farmers and as part of it, the government is providing minimum support prices for crops. Thandava project chairman Karaka Satyanarayana, market yard chairman G V Venkataramana, Tuni market yard chairman, Jana Sena Party constituency In-charge Suryachandra, Natavaram mandal TDP president Nandipalli Ramana, officials, leaders and farmers participated in the programme.

Bengaluru Metro: PM Modi Flags Off Yellow Line, New 19km Stretch To Cut Travel Time By 2 Hours
The 19.14-kilometre stretch, costing around Rs 7,160 crore, connects RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra, with 16 stations along the way. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the much-awaited 'Yellow Line" of Bangalore Metro Rail, which is expected to ease traffic congestion in several heavily congested corridors connecting the city's IT hub. The Prime Minister also took a metro ride from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Electronic City metro station and interacted with students during the journey. The over 19-km route from RV Road to Bommasandra of Bangalore Metro Phase-2 project worth around Rs 7,160 crore has 16 stations, officials said. With the opening of the yellow line, the operational metro rail network in Bengaluru will increase to over 96 km, serving a large population in the region. According to officials, the new facility is expected to ease traffic congestion in several heavily congested corridors like Hosur Road, Silk Board Junction, and Electronics City Junction. Noting that '3 train sets" have arrived for the yellow line and the fourth will arrive this month, Deputy CM and Minister in-charge for Bengaluru development, D K Shivakumar had recently said, three trains will operate now at an interval of 25 minutes. The frequency would be increased to 10 minutes later. Modi too responded by waving at them from inside his car. According to officials, estimated daily ridership of Bangalore Metro is expected to increase from 8.5 lakh to 12.5 lakh because of the Yellow line, and it is expected to reduce commute time by 2 hrs per day. Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister of State, Shobha Karandlaje, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, among others were present. Meanwhile, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) in a statement said the train services on the Yellow line will commence on Monday morning (Aug 11). On all weekdays, Monday to Saturday, trains will start at 6.30 AM from both terminals — R V Road and Delta Electronics Bommasandra Metro stations. The running time on the section is 35 minutes in each direction with halts at every station, it said. There are 16 stations, including the two terminals. The last train service from Delta Electronics Bommasandra station will be at 10.42 pm, while the last service from RV Road interchange station will be at 11.55 pm. Trains will be operated every 25 minutes starting from 6.30 am, from Delta Electronics Bommasandra and 7.10 am from RV Road Metro station. The train frequency will be reduced from 10.00 pm onwards, the release said, adding that on Sundays, train services will commence at 7 am instead of 6.30 am with the same headway. The fare between the terminal stations of the Yellow line is Rs 60, BMRCL said.
