Kate Middleton's clever tactic for avoiding personal questions about her family

Kate Middleton and Prince William are well known for their vigilant approach to preserving the privacy of their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis; however, they do let slip endearing details about their little ones on occasion.
Whether it's unveiling that Princess Charlotte has proclaimed herself quite the goalkeeper to England's Lionesses, as relayed by Prince William, or Kate disclosing adorable comments from young Prince Louis in the wake of the Queen's passing, we get rare glimpses into the Cambridge household. But, Kate has a rather ingenious method for sidestepping personal queries in public, ensuring not too much is divulged about her family life.
This particular tactic came to light courtesy of Hollywood actor Rami Malek who whimsically offered his babysitting services to the royal couple.

Discussing his interactions with royalty on Jimmy Kimmel's US chat show, he reflected on a memorable conversation he had with The Princess of Wales at the 2019 BAFTAs, where he scooped up the best actor gong for his role as Freddie Mercury in 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
As the royals were then recent parents to their third child, Prince Louis, Rami's bold offer seemed to catch Kate off guard. During his TV appearance, he recounted: "The funniest thing about that was, I said, 'If you ever need a day off, some time off, I'm back-up for you.'", reports the Mirror.

Delving further into the encounter, he shared Kate's initial puzzlement: "She's like, 'What do you mean?' I go, 'I can babysit, you guys go out, have a good time.'" He then mentioned how he addressed the recent arrival of Prince Louis, saying to Kate: "'You just had a baby, right?' I think she was taken aback."
However, Rami then shared how Kate skilfully redirected the conversation back to him. He said: "She said, 'How are you doing?' [I'm like,] 'No, how are you?' And in the most regal, elegant way, she gave me a look. But you can tell. Imagine, you're dressed to the nines, have to talk to all these actors."
Rami also noted the careful attention the royals pay during their interactions, saying: "They're so careful. But it was so cool. I think I caught her off guard for a second. And, you know, had that look of – in the most elegant, professional, royal way – 'Yes, it's a lot, having a kid.'".
It appears that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appreciated his candidness, as Prince William later invited him to co-host the previous Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony in Boston.
Rami isn't the only one who admires the Duchess of Cambridge - actress Reese Witherspoon has also praised Kate's grace and professionalism in her personal memoir, Whiskey in a Teacup.
Reese fondly remembered the day she met Kate, saying: "I was up at 4am doing my hair. That's early, even for me. I was up, dressed and waiting by the door by 7am. Jim took pictures of me in the car. You can see rays of happiness shooting out of my face. I love Kate Middleton that much.
"And she did not disappoint! She was just lovely and warm, elegant and composed. She also told a joke, and I immediately fell under her spell. She's just as magnificent as she seems to be. She's a very compassionate, socially conscious, deeply caring person. It takes a very special person to decide to commit to that kind of life."
