Dubai startup launches AI-powered cloud gaming platform
Dubai-based startup The Game Company (TGC) today launched its AI-powered cloud gaming platform at Dubai AI Week, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and hosted by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF).
Built entirely in Dubai, the platform aligns with the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033—a national strategy to establish the emirate as a global leader in gaming and emerging tech.
TGC's platform brings over 1,300 AAA titles directly from the cloud, making high-performance gaming accessible to anyone, on any device, without the need for costly consoles or downloads. Built on custom AI architecture, the platform features optimised GPU utilisation for maximum visual performance, predictive forward buffering for ultra-smooth gameplay, and cloud-agnostic integration that ensures seamless, low-latency experiences across devices.

Visitors to the Dubai AI Week can experience live gameplay across devices, explore the underlying tech stack, and interact with real-time demos of the AI-powered system.

These include refining existing services by applying AI to improve personalisation and efficiency; creating entirely new services to tackle challenges once seen as an obstacle; boosting operational efficiency by embedding AI into everyday government processes; and ensuring inclusive accessibility by developing solutions that remove barriers and make services more widely available to all. Participants in the program will gain a host of valuable benefits. They will collaborate directly with experts to tackle real-world challenges and shape the future of public services. They will also enjoy direct access to senior decision-makers, opening doors to implement their solutions at scale. Importantly, the program requires no equity stake, ensuring participants retain full ownership of their innovations. With strong backing and support, AI companies will be able to explore exciting growth opportunities, both locally and internationally. Additionally, the program offers fully sponsored accommodation and travel for eight weeks in Dubai, enabling participants to focus entirely on developing and deploying their projects. Registration for the 'Future of AI in Government Services Accelerator' program is open until 28 August 2025. Selected companies will be invited to Dubai for an intensive eight-week program running from 6 October to 28 November 2025, working on-site alongside government teams. Nayoo's ‘Tsree7' EP is a Club-Ready Tribute to Levantine Folk Music
Rather than treating folk as a decorative sample, the Jordanian producer builds the entire project around it, resisting the trend of fetishising regional sounds in favour of something intentional. Aug 10, 2025 Berlin-based Jordanian producer Nayoo has recently released a new EP, 'Tsree7', a club-ready tribute to Levantine folk music. Rather than treating folk as a decorative sample or a nostalgic motif, Nayoo builds the entire project around it, resisting the trend of fetishising regional sounds in favour of something deeper and more intentional. Co-produced with El 8ight, Nayoo blends traditional tribal rhythms like Mijwiz and Choby with bass-driven electronics, glitches and low-end frequencies, preserving the raw, celebratory spirit of the source material while giving it somewhat of a dancefloor-friendly facelift. The EP consists of three tracks. On the opener, 'Tmreer', Nayoo flips Egyptian shaabi star Mahmoud El Leithy's classic 'Am El Magal' into a percussive, hip-shaking cut rooted in urban shami textures. Following suit, on the title track, 'Tsree7', he dives headfirst into the sounds of his family tribe, incorporating sonic traditions like mjana and dandana with witty wordplay, framing collective memory and folklore within a club context. The closing track 'Saree3' kicks off with a pulsating riq arrangement that turns into a cluster of darbuka-driven basslines, Arabic hip-hop-inspired vocal chops and relentless shaabi-infused synths, rounding out the EP with a sharp, eclectic twist. As a whole, Nayoo frames his 'Tsree7' EP as a response to the cultural erasure caused by geopolitical shifts across the Levantine region, channelling both his grief and celebration of his cultural heritage, and further immortalizing almost forgotten traditions.
