Indiana State Police team up with INDYCAR's Felix Rosenqvist for recruiting campaign

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana State Police (ISP) are teaming up with NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver Felix Rosenqvist as part of a new recruiting campaign.
According to a press release from Indiana State Police, the campaign is based on the message 'we meet you where you are,' as troopers will be traveling alongside Rosenqvist to future races to connect with potential recruits.
The partnership will also showcase the ISP brand to a national audience by placing an ISP logo on Rosenqvist's helmet that can be seen through onboard driver-view cameras.

Rosenqvist also wore a helmet featuring the ISP logo during the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 in May, where he finished 4th overall.

'I'm honored to represent the Indiana State Police,' Rosenqvist said. 'The qualities that define a strong race team—teamwork, discipline, and leadership—are the same values that define the ISP. I'm proud to support their mission to inspire future officers and show fans what a career in law enforcement can offer.'
During upcoming races in Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Iowa and Tennessee, ISP said troopers will connect with fans by providing recruiting information and answering any questions.
'We're committed to meeting the next generation of Troopers, Capitol Police Officers, and Professional Staff members right where they are—at events they care about, in cities they live in, and through the platforms they use every day,' said Deputy Superintendent Shea Reliford. 'Felix Rosenqvist shares our values of leadership, determination, and service, and together we're creating new opportunities to connect with the public in an authentic way.'

Dodgers host Kobe Bryant bobblehead night to honor Lakers legend

The Los Angeles Dodgers honored Kobe Bryant on Friday with a special bobblehead giveaway at their stadium. The date, Aug. 8, was chosen to recognize the No. 8 jersey Bryant wore during the first half of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant's wife, Vanessa, and their daughters, Natalia, 22, Bianka, 8 and Capri, 6, attended the event ahead of the team's game at Dodgers Stadium against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Dodgers and Vanessa collaborated on an Instagram post on Aug. 8 showing pictures of Bryant's daughters partaking in some pre-game activities. The carousel was accompanies by the caption, "Mamba forever. Thank you, Vanessa, Natalia, Bianka and Capri for helping us celebrate Kobe Bryant Bobblehead Night. 💙." Bianka threw the ceremonial first pitch to Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman, while Capri delivered the traditional opening line, telling the crowd, 'It's time for Dodgers baseball!' The bobblehead, unveiled by the team earlier this summer, depicts Bryant wearing his No. 24 Lakers jersey and Dodgers-themed Nike Kobe 6 Protro sneakers while holding a baseball bat. The collectible was available exclusively to fans attending the Aug. 8 game, with the first 40,000 ticketed guests receiving one upon entry. Bryant, a five-time NBA champion and 18-time All-Star, died in January 2020 in a helicopter crash that also claimed the life of his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven others.
