Dwyane Wade previously emphasized on importance of giving freedom to his daughter
The recent video of Kaavia spending time with a pony showed her confident side. She seemingly loves to be in command of things and is not shy about sharing her thoughts. This confident personality is the result of a thoughtful parenting philosophy Dwayne Wade and
Gabrielle Union
swear by.
In an earlier interview with a parenting portal, Parents, Dwyane had shared in 2023:
'We give her the freedom to have a say in her space, her appearance, and the things she wants to do.
The only way we're going to know our child is by listening to her, watching her, and seeing what she's interested in. For us, in the Black community, we have to make sure our kids understand how to stand on their own two feet and advocate for themselves. It's on us to teach Kaavia her power early on, and a lot of that comes from individuality.
Dwyane Wade ON: Letting Go of Validation to Become Your Best Self
When asked what they wanted to teach Kaavia, he had said:
'Compassion for herself. So often, we're drilled to be compassionate to everybody else, but we leave ourselves out of that compassion umbrella and let ourselves get drenched and drowned in self-loathing and self-judgment.
And when you breed compassion in your home, [kids] can't help but live it and expect it.'
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle have built a cozy cocoon for themselves with Kaavia being its center point. They are always supportive of their children's decisions and take pride in things they accomplish. The recent set of videos was adorable enough to give anybody a heartwarming experience to cherish for long time.

Call to implement plastic ban in Gupteswar, a biodiversity site
Koraput: Gupteswar in Koraput district's Boipariguda block, a notified biodiversity heritage site, is getting littered with banned plastic items, locals and environmental activists said. From carry bags to styrofoam plates and cutlery, plastic waste is found, especially around the Gupteswar cave shrine, raising concerns ahead of the Kanwar Yatra. Residents alleged plastic waste often piles up along the banks of the Saberi river, with some of it entering the water, endangering aquatic life and leading to contamination. "It's disheartening to see plastic litter choking the biodiversity zone. The forest and river are sacred to us, but they're being degraded due to negligence. We need immediate action and awareness drives, especially during Shravan," said Malati Nayak, member of the Gupteswari Mahila Mahasangha, Ramgiri. In Dec 2016, National Green Tribunal (NGT) had directed state authorities to declare the area from Saberi embankment to Gupteswar Temple a 'plastic-free zone'. Fines of Rs 1,000 for first-time violators and Rs 2,000 for repeat offences were recommended. Odisha State Pollution Control Board was asked to submit a compliance report within three months. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Switch to UnionBank Rewards Card UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo But the directives are yet to be implemented, sources said. "We urge the authorities concerned to implement the NGT's order in letter and spirit. If eco-friendly products like bamboo baskets and leaf plates are promoted, it can also create jobs for the tribal communities," said Dhanapati Khila of Boipariguda Gram Sabha Mahasangha. Environmentalists also raised concerns ahead of Kanwar Yatra. "With thousands of devotees likely to arrive from Odisha and Chhattisgarh, enforcement squads must be deployed, banned plastic items seized and alternatives like earthen pots made available," said a Koraput-based environmentalist Bidyut Mohanty. Authorities, however, claimed preventive measures are being taken. "People have been urged not to carry holy water in plastic bottles for offering to Lord Shiva. We've also placed adequate number of dustbins along the route," said Chittranjan Patnaik, endowment officer, Jeypore. "Efforts are also underway to create mass awareness against single-use plastic in and around the shrine area," he added.

Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend Camille Kostek calls out Patriots' toxic WAG culture that Gisele Bündchen never said out loud
Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend Camille Kostek revealed the pressures she faced within the New England Patriots' WAG circle (Getty Images) In a rare, brutally honest reflection, Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend Camille Kostek has exposed the hidden pressures and silent judgment she endured as part of the New England Patriots' WAG (wives and girlfriends) circle—offering a glimpse into the exclusive, often toxic world behind the Super Bowl dynasty's polished image. Camille Kostek opens up about exclusion within the Patriots ' social circle 'I don't want to be in a room where people talk behind your back,' Camille Kostek admitted in a recent interview, referencing her discomfort navigating the Foxborough social scene. While fans celebrated victories, she says she was battling subtle but relentless scrutiny—especially for not having a ring from Rob Gronkowski and for pursuing her own thriving modeling career. Silent judgment and unspoken expectations behind the scenes For Kostek, the unspoken hierarchy within the Patriots' social sphere became painfully clear. 'It was almost like if you're not at every single foundation or charitable event, you don't belong.' She often felt isolated and unwelcomed, even while sitting in Bill Belichick's suite alongside Linda Holliday. 'It wasn't like anyone said, 'You can't sit with us.' It just felt that way,' she said. It wasn't until Gronk signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that Camille says she finally felt embraced. 'The Bucs wives just embraced me from the first moment. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like American Investor Warren Buffett Recommends: 5 Books For Turning Your Life Around Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo I felt seen,' she shared, contrasting the warmth in Tampa with the aloofness she endured in New England. Gisele Bündchen stayed above it all, but never really part of it Perhaps most revealing was her mention of Gisele Bündchen. 'Gisele did her own thing,' she said, explaining how the supermodel's global career and family life placed her on the periphery of the Patriots' inner circle. 'I never knew where she was… but when we did talk, it was like we'd known each other forever.' Kostek's comments pull back the curtain on the subtle power dynamics and image-driven politics NFL partners face. While rings and appearances seem to rule, her story—and Gisele's quiet independence—suggests that real strength may lie in walking your own path, no matter the whispers behind closed doors. Exclusive - Indraxi Kanjilal on changing narratives in Bollywood and OTT: Almost every film tries to include bold scenes today
Actress Indraxi Kanjilal, who plays the role of Prathana in Pushpa Impossible, says that there has been an increase in the portrayal of boldness in entertainment. She adds that while boldness has become a noticeable trend across Bollywood, OTT, and television, it's important to know where to draw the line. 'When it comes to boldness, it has increased a lot in Bollywood, OTT projects, and even on television. But I think there's a limit to everything. On OTT, if we talk about nudity or the boldness, it is at another level. On television, it's very censored, not only in what you see, but even in the dialogues. In Bollywood, of course, films that require such scenes have them. And these days, I've noticed a particular pattern: almost every film tries to include some kind of bold or sensuous scenes,' she says. The actress believes that cinema and television have a unique power to reflect and shape society. 'It is true that films, OTT content, television shows, or reality shows, whatever the medium, they kind of imitate society. Sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way. But at the very least, they try to show reality. Sometimes it's just a way of showcasing the negative aspects of society, and sometimes it's meant to influence the audience. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Use an AI Writing Tool That Actually Understands Your Voice Grammarly Install Now Undo So, I think it's a very, very positive thing to showcase or imitate society in real time through television, OTT, or films. That's how society gets to see itself, you hold up a mirror and, in a way, either teach something or preach a lesson. So yes, I do think it's a good thing,' she says. Talking about the increasing portrayal of relationship conflicts, divorce, and mental health issues in mainstream content, Indraxi feels this exposure is not only necessary, but healthy. 'Relationship issues, divorce, conflicts with parents; I think real family issues are shown on television and everywhere else very normally now. And they are shown as something common, which they actually are. That's why I don't think we are overexposed to these topics. I honestly don't feel that. I believe these problems are real. Any show or project that focuses on such content showing real family issues or real-life problems that people go through, I think it's actually a good thing. ' She further adds, 'It's a positive aspect. We are not overexposed. In fact, we should be exposed to these things. These topics should be normalised, so that we don't feel ashamed when something like that happens to us. It's not something shameful. If you have troubles in your family or if there's a problem, it's fine. It's normal, right? We don't have to feel guilty or embarrassed about it. In fact, if we feel that there's trouble and we need help, we should feel comfortable reaching out, whether that's to a therapist or anyone else. ' The actress also comes from a psychology background, and says, 'Being a psychology student myself, I've seen many people being shy or hesitant about visiting therapists or psychologists. They feel it's shameful to have problems or to even share personal things with a professional. But things are slowly changing, and that's a good sign. This kind of content on TV and OTT helps make it even more acceptable. If you're facing issues, it's okay to seek help and clear your mind. That should be normal.'
