Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's woke daughter Violet ditches designer bags for $20 handmade tote

Daily Mail12-07-2025
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner 's firstborn child Violet Affleck appeared to be economizing when she surfaced in Los Angeles this week.
The 19-year-old ' nepo baby ' went viral last year for delivering an impassioned speech last year to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors demanding a return to mask mandates in medical facilities and government buildings.
But in spite of her own fame and her A-list Hollywood pedigree, Violent evidently forewent designer purses in favor of a budget option this week.
She was carrying a handmade knit bag that seemed to have been made from the WADORN DIY crochet handbag making kit, available on Amazon for a mere $24.28.
With a dull blue fabric flower stitched onto an off-white background, the purse served as an elegant complement to Violet's summery floral dress.
Her latest outing comes after she was notably absent from a family outing involving not only both her parents but both her siblings Fin, 16, and Samuel, 13.
Ben, Jennifer, Fin and Samuel were spotted earlier this week attending a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park in the Argo director's home state of Massachusetts.
Affleck was previously married to the 13 Going On 30 actress from 2005 until their divorce was finalized in 2018. However, the pair have maintained a positive co-parenting relationship.
Ben kept it casual for the outing in a tan button up and additionally sported a green Boston Red Sox cap on top of his head.
Jennifer also showed her support by wearing a short-sleeved shirt with red and white stripes - which are some of the team's colors.
Her long locks were pulled back into a simple ponytail, preventing any loose strands from falling onto her face.
The former couple sat in between their two children as they watched the Red Sox take on the Tampa Bay Rays.
The family held lighthearted conversations during the family outing - and at one point, also appeared on a jumbotron inside the ballpark.
Affleck was born in California, but relocated with his family to Massachusetts where they eventually settled in the city of Cambridge - which is just north west of the city of Boston.
Despite their split, both Ben and Garner have maintained a positive relationship while raising their three children.
Last month in June, the actress - who is currently dating John Miller - shared a Father's Day tribute to her ex-husband.
At the time, she uploaded a rare throwback photo of the Gone Girl star as one of their children - who had been a newborn - rested on his chest.
In text added below the sweet picture, Jennifer typed out: 'Happy Father's Day to 3 people's favorite landing spot.'
The pair have also been spotted together on numerous occasions, such as when they reunited to pick up their son Samuel from the airport last month.
Earlier in March, Affleck also made loving remarks towards Garner during an interview with GQ.
He reflected on his divorce from Jennifer Lopez as well as his bond with Garner following their own split.
'I'm really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids' mom, who's wonderful and great and we work together well,' Affleck told the outlet.
He also discussed how both he and Garner have navigated through fame and stayed honest with their kids.
'We used to have a thing, my ex-wife and I, when they would see something on a supermarket stand,' Ben recalled.
'We would say, well, "You know this isn't always true because if it were, you would have 15 brothers or sisters or whatever the number of stories is where they said that your mom was pregnant."'
Affleck added, 'I know what's going on in my life. And also, really more importantly, my kids know.'
Around the same time, the former couple were also seen hugging as they celebrated their son's 13th birthday.
However, Garner continues to move on with her romance with John Miller and it was reported in April that he is 'basically living' with the actress, a source told Us Weekly.
Affleck received support from his ex-wife amid his split from Lopez and he notably spent the holidays with Garner and their children late last year.
It was revealed earlier in January that both he and the On The Floor songstress settled their divorce - after she had filed in August 2024 on their second wedding anniversary.
Lopez has been keeping busy and recently debuted six new songs at an exclusive listening party for 30 lucky fans this month - with one track seemingly referencing to her divorce from Ben.
One of the songs that she showed fans was titled Wreckage Of You - and a guest in attendance by the name of Edgardo Luis Rivera opened up about the song while talking to Us Weekly.
He said it is a 'pop ballad that she told us she cowrote and recorded two weeks ago. She said she was lying in bed after a long day of tour rehearsals when the idea of the song came to her.'
Edgardo further expressed, 'She mentioned how last year was a very difficult time for her both personally and professionally. She had to cancel her tour and really focus on herself.'
Another fan who had attended the listening party offered their thoughts on Wreckage Of Me.
They said it is a 'very emotional, empowering song about walking away from a relationship and coming out a stronger person.'
Lopez also played an additional five songs which were titled: Birthday, Free, Up All Night, Save Me Tonight and Regular.
She also performed the revenge track as she kicked off her international summer tour Up All Night in Spain.
In video footage of the singer as she took to the stage, Lopez opened up about the song while talking to the crowd.
'This is a song that is a new song that I want to sing for the first time tonight that came to me when I was up all night one night. Shall we sing this one for the people?'
Some of the lyrics to Wreckage Of You included: 'The love I want, the love I need, it starts in me/Now I found my way here I'm gonna stay there.
'Thank you for the scars you left on my heart, was showing me that stars shine brighter in the dark/I won't fall apart because of who we are, but your broken parts.'
Jennifer also belted out on stage: 'Because of you, I am stronger, wiser/Better than I've ever been.'
The star additionally announced in May that she is set to return to Las Vegas for an upcoming residency also called Up All Night Live.
She will take to the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on select dates beginning from December 30 through March of next year.

Cruiserweight Jake Paul and lightweight Gervonta Davis announce they will fight on Nov. 14

YouTuber-turned-cruiserweight boxer Jake Paul and undefeated WBA lightweight champion Gervonta 'Tank' Davis have agreed to fight on Nov. 14 at Atlanta 's State Farm Arena. Paul's promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, and Netflix announced the highly unusual matchup Wednesday. Netflix will stream the fight worldwide to its more than 300 million subscribers. The 30-year-old Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs), a three-division world champion, would be the first star near his ostensible prime to face Paul (12-1, 7 KOs), the online celebrity who has become one of the world's highest-paid combat sports athletes despite never fighting an elite boxer. Netflix and Nakisa Bidarian, Paul's business partner, did not refer to the fight as an exhibition, but it's unclear how Georgia officials would allow the matchup to be held as a competitive bout, given the fighters' dramatic difference in size and experience. Paul typically weighs more than 200 pounds in the ring, while Davis is a 135-pound champion who has never fought above 140 pounds. The fighters did not announce a contracted weight or the number of rounds in their planned bout. The fight would mark a return to Netflix for the 28-year-old Paul, whose victory last November over the then-58-year-old Mike Tyson drew an estimated 108 million viewers globally. After Paul beat a tepid Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by decision earlier this summer, he entered the World Boxing Association's cruiserweight rankings at No. 14, making him eligible to fight for world titles. Instead of pursuing a cruiserweight belt, Paul recently discussed a fight with two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua — a more logical opponent in terms of size and strength — but shifted his focus to the popular Davis. who has jousted with Paul on social media for years. Perhaps Paul can look inside his own family for a plan: His older brother, Logan, weighed 189 pounds before fighting Floyd Mayweather at 155 pounds in an eight-round exhibition bout in 2021. Promoters said the spectacle sold more than 1 million pay-per-view buys and made more than $80 million. Davis has been billed by his promoters as 'the modern day Mike Tyson" because of the frequency with which he has won by knockout, but his career and life have been rocky in 2025. He struggled to a shocking draw against Lamont Roach Jr. in his most recent ring outing in March, and he was arrested on a domestic violence charge in Florida last month before the misdemeanor battery case was dropped last week. Bidarian said Paul and Davis are 'favorites of the Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences,' and that their bout will 'determine the true face of boxing's next generation.' 'This isn't just a fight, it's a spectacle that brings together two of the most electrifying figures in boxing today,' Netflix vice president Brandon Riegg said. ___

Female TikTok star ends up in jail after filming herself running onto baseball field: 'Intrusive thoughts got the better of me'

A TikToker ended up in jail after filming herself running onto the field at a recent Los Angeles Angels game. Julia Hill, who has 1.7 million followers on TikTok, could be seen climbing over the barrier at Angel Stadium in Anaheim and sprinting onto the field during their game against the Cincinnati Reds. In the video, the camera is focused on Hill the entire time and she screams out in excitement as she sprints around the field. The post then cuts to a different angle where Hill can be seen lying face down on the field with cops and security placing her in handcuffs. She is then seeing being led off the field and to jail in Anaheim, where she claims she spent around six hours. Upon her release, she said: 'Guys, just got out of jail. It's like 2:23am. I was in jail for, like, six hours. Honestly I thought I was never coming out for a second.' Hill captioned the video on TikTok 'Intrusive thoughts got the better of me'. It has so far been watched 5.6 million times and has just over a million likes. In Anaheim, trying to run on the field in Angel Stadium is considered trespassing and, therefore, a misdemeanor. People who violate that law may face imprisonment for up to six months or a fine of not more than $1,000. But Hill didn't seem bothered by the potential ramifications. Titled 'Just got out of jail', she posted another video of herself outside the police station and was seemingly laughing off the experience. Set to Tee Grizzley's 'First Day Out', Hill can be seen mouthing the lyrics while dancing around. That video has been watched 1.7m times.
