Arab League Chief condemns Israeli plan to reoccupy Gaza - War on Gaza

Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, condemned in the strongest terms a plan said to have been approved by the Israeli Security Cabinet to occupy Gaza.
The plan calls for "reoccupying" the Gaza Strip and placing it under Israeli control. It also includes displacing the residents of Gaza City and confining most of the strip's population to a narrow corner in its south.
The official spokesperson quoted Aboul Gheit as affirming that the Arab League has repeatedly warned against allowing Israel to wage its insane, endless, criminal war against the Palestinian people to liquidate their cause and eliminate them as a national group. He stressed that the time has come for a firm stance from the international community to halt this bloody cycle.
The spokesperson added that Aboul Gheit considers the Israeli plan a true reflection of Israel's intentions and objectives, since the beginning of the war, to reoccupy the entire Gaza Strip and expel as many of its residents as possible.
"This is a plan that the Arab side and the entire world categorically and comprehensively reject."
Furthermore, the spokesman emphasised that the occupation government "is no longer aware of the extent of its international isolation as a result of its persistence in waging a war of extermination for nearly two years."
He also asserted that extremely extremist ideologies or narrow self-interests drive the leaders of the Israeli government and that they do not even care about the fate of the Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip.

Israa Farhan Somalia's Defense Minister Ahmed Moalim Fiqi has announced that more than 120 al-Shabaab militants were killed and several others wounded in large-scale military operations in the Lower Shabelle region in the country's south. Speaking at a press conference late Friday, Fiqi hailed the Somali National Army's success and vowed that the fight against terrorism would continue until the country is completely free of extremist threats. The latest military success follows the strategic capture of the town of Barire in Lower Shabelle. The Somali army, backed by Ugandan forces, secured full control of the area last week after a series of fierce clashes with al-Shabaab fighters. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
