Wild reason woman gets kicked off flight
A 28-year-old Perth woman has been removed from a Virgin flight bound for Melbourne after starting a verbal altercation with airline staff.
Australian Federal Police were reportedly called to a flight waiting to leave Perth Airport after a woman began to act erratically on the outbound plane, which had yet to depart its gate.
Footage shows the woman verbally accosting a flight attendant, apparently over a disagreement revolving around her possession of a 'bum bag'.
'You're telling me to take my clothes off on a plane, f*** off,' says the woman in the footage, directing her vitriolic barrage towards a flight attendant standing in the aisle.
'No I didn't say that … you had a bum bag on, in the event of an evacuation we need to make sure you're safe and everyone else is safe,' the attendant replies calmly.
Another member of the crew then ushers the attendant away, before staff tell the woman the AFP will 'deal with' her.
7News reports the woman was eventually ushered off the plane by AFP officers and then arrested and formally charged.
The AFP and Virgin have been contacted for comment.

A learner driver has had his licence suspended after he was allegedly caught breaking four rules at once on Queensland's most dangerous highway. The 31-year-old man was spotted at around 10.30pm on Sunday night by officers who alleged that he was driving at 123km/h in an 80km/h zone on the Bruce Highway in Cairns. When officers approached the car to question the alleged speeding, things quickly took a turn for the worse. Police allege there were no L-plates on display, and claim the supervisor in the passenger seat had a disqualified licence. In Queensland, learner drivers must be accompanied by a driver with an open licence for the same type of vehicle that is being driven. They need to have had that licence for at least one year. The driver was then subjected to a roadside breath test, where police allege it returned a positive result and was later recorded as a BAC of 0.207 per cent. Learner drivers must have a BAC of zero. The man's licence was suspended and he was hit with four charges: Disobeying the speed limit, did drive under the influence of liquor, learning to drive must be properly supervised-motor vehicles other than motorbikes, and learner must not drive motor vehicle unless L plates displayed and clearly legible. He's due to face Cairns Magistrates Court on July 8. The Bruce Highway, which stretches from Cairns to Brisbane, is home to all of the state's top five crash sites. It's ranked third in Australia's most crash-prone roads. Earlier this month, another L-plater was hit with a whopping $1,775 in fines and 22 demerit points after getting pulled over for speeding on the Hume Highway near Penrose in NSW. The male driver was caught driving 39km/h over the speed limit, while also using his phone and not displaying L-plates. The incident took place on the June long weekend, while double demerits were in force, leaving him automatically suspended from driving with a pending extension from NSW Transport. Bizarre trend emerges in Aussie city as $400 worth of unopened food found in bush
Littering and illegal dumping continue to run rampant in Townsville, but in a bizarre turn of events, locals are now finding hundreds of unopened packets of chips and drink cans strewn across the bush. Adding to the wide range of items that are regularly dumped along north Queensland's Bohle River, such as furniture, tyres, shopping trolleys, and remnants of illegal copper burning, the unopened goods were found by two volunteers who often patrol the littering hotspots along Dalrymple Road and Hervey Range Road. Dave Dudley and Ian Matthews from Townsville Tidy Up, an organisation created to clean up the city, explained there have been four separate incidents of chip and can littering in the last four weeks. "There were all these cans there and I thought, wait a minute, most of the packets of chips are half full and they're all in date," Ian told Yahoo News, recalling his most recent discovery over the weekend. "It's the third time that I've found this kind of thing. My mate Dave also found the same sort of thing, it's probably happened four times in four weeks... It's odd." The littering has occurred across two sites, and the goods have been largely unopened. The few chip packets that have been opened have been discarded on the ground. "It's just been a mess of unopened cans and bottles and drink containers, and just for some odd reason some packets of chips emptied all over the ground," Dave explained to Yahoo News. Yahoo News reached out to Townsville Council after Dave said he has reported each incident to the council via the SnapSendSolve app. A spokesperson for the Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) told Yahoo News it has received no reports of the littering incidents but warned anyone caught in the act will be fined $322. There were suggestions online that goods were stolen from a local supermarket or club, however, these have been purely speculative and a theory Ian has discredited. "I think a shop would have reported it after four weeks in a row," he said. Dave also weighed into the oddness of the situation, questioning why the goods were not being enjoyed at a time when grocery prices are rising, and Aussie households are struggling to make ends meet.
