PCB unveils 'Women's Cricket Calendar' for 2025-26 season
In Pathways Cricket, Pakistan U-19 will tour Bangladesh for a five-match T20 series in December this year. Prior to that, the National Women's U-19 T20 Tournament is scheduled to take place in Karachi from 15th September to 6 October. The top performers of the tournament will be invited to a three-week skills development camp followed by the pre-departure camp for the Bangladesh series.
On the international front, to commence the 2025-26 seasons, the Pakistan women's team will travel to Ireland for a three-match T20I series against the hosts in Dublin from 6 to 10 August. Later, Pakistan will host South Africa at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for a three-match ODI series, as part of their preparations for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka and India.
The ODIs against South Africa will be played on September 16, 19 and 22, with match timings to be confirmed in due course. Following the series, Pakistan will travel to Sri Lanka to participate in the mega event, where they are set to play their seven league-stage matches from October 2 to 24. Should Pakistan qualify for the semi-final on 29th October and the final on 2nd November, both matches will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
To begin their campaign in the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29, Pakistan will tour South Africa from 7th February to 2nd March 2026. In addition to three ODIs (part of the Championship), Pakistan will also play three T20Is.
In April, Pakistan will host Zimbabwe for three ODIs (part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29) and three T20Is. The matches are scheduled to take place from 24th April to 11th May, with further details to be provided in due course.
Before travelling to England for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, the Pakistan team will participate in a tri-nation T20 tournament in Ireland involving the hosts, Pakistan and the West Indies, providing crucial preparation ahead of the T20 showpiece.
The ICC Women's T20 World Cup, scheduled from 12th June to 5th July, will mark the conclusion of the women's international cricket calendar for the 2025-26 seasons. On the domestic front, the National Women's One-Day Tournament will be held in Karachi from 6th to 24th November. The four-team competition will be played on a double league basis, with international players expected to take part in the 15-match event.
The National Women's T20 Tournament will also be staged in Karachi, from 24 March to 17 April 2026. The five-team competition will be played on a double league basis, comprising 23 fixtures. In October this year, Inter-University tournament is scheduled to take place with more details on the schedule and venues to be confirmed in due course.

From robust international assignments to competitive domestic tournaments, we are ensuring our players are fully prepared to excel on the world stage. Our Pathways structure continues to evolve with the aim of building a strong future for Pakistan women's cricket. The U-19 T20 tournament, followed by the tour to Bangladesh will offer young players valuable exposure and an opportunity to develop the skills required at the international level.
Rafia further said, 'The upcoming season is significant, with major events such as the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup and ICC Women's T20 World Cup on the horizon. Our international schedule has been designed to ensure thorough preparation, with quality opposition that will enable the players to perform well and contribute in the team's success. We are also actively engaging in discussions with various departments to introduce a departmental tournament for women's cricket. This initiative will provide additional playing opportunities for our women cricketers.'

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the schedule for the upcoming T20I tri-nation series involving Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the UAE. The Asia Cup, scheduled from September 9 to 28, will be a T20-format tournament featuring eight teams. Pakistan, India, UAE, and Oman are in Group A, while Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong make up Group B. Pakistan's campaign starts on September 12, with their high-profile match against India on September 14. T20I series featuring Pakistan, Afghanistan, UAE to begin later this month
Pakistan will feature in a tri-series involving Afghanistan and UAE from August 29 to September 7 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, in the United Arab Emirates. The T20I tournament will serve as a launching pad for the teams to prepare for and acclimatise to the conditions ahead of the eight-team ACC Men's T20 Asia Cup, scheduled to take place in the UAE from September 9 to 28, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced in a press release. The opening match of the tri-series tournament will be played between Afghanistan and Pakistan on Friday, August 29, with the first ball to be bowled at 7pm local time, the PCB said. Asia Cup 2025 to be held from September 9-28 in UAE, Mohsin Naqvi confirm 'Each team will play the others twice, giving all sides at least four matches before the top two teams qualify for the final, scheduled on September 7,' it added. Women's T20 WC Qualifier host revealed

Photo: ICC The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday confirmed that Nepal will host the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Qualifier, which is scheduled to take place from 12 January to 16 February 2026. This global qualifier will see ten teams battling for the four remaining spots at the 10th edition of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, set to be held in England and Wales from 12 June to 5 July 2026. The main tournament will feature 33 matches over 24 days across seven venues, including iconic grounds such as Old Trafford, Headingley, Hampshire Bowl, and Bristol County Ground, with the final to be played at the historic Lord's Cricket Ground. As for the Qualifier in Nepal, the ten participating teams will be split into two groups of five, followed by a Super Six stage and a Final. The full match schedule will be revealed in due course. Bangladesh and Ireland have already booked their spots in the Qualifier based on their participation in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024. Nepal and Thailand qualified via the Asia regional pathway, while the USA earned their place through the Americas region. The remaining five teams will be decided through upcoming regional qualifiers, with two spots each for Africa and Europe, and one for the East Asia-Pacific region. Meanwhile, the ICC on June 18 unveiled groupings and venues for the 2026 main event in England and Wales: Group A will include defending champions Australia, 2024 runners-up South Africa, India, Pakistan, and two teams from the global Qualifier. Group B features hosts England, 2020 champions New Zealand, Sri Lanka, former champions West Indies, and two Qualifier teams. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, scheduled for 30 June and 2 July at The Oval, followed by the final on 5 July at Lord's.
