But tragically, she was unable to recover from her injuries and passed away earlier today. Advertisement A woman, aged 74, who was a passenger in the Volvo was also flown by helicopter to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where she remains in a stable condition. A 74-year-old man who was driving the Volvo was rushed to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness and he was later discharged. Sadly, a dog that was travelling in the Vauxhall died at the scene. The busy road was closed as officers investigated the crash and it reopened around 6.30pm.
