Samantha Barks has welcomed her second child with her husband Alex Stoll. The Les Miserables star, 34, took to Instagram on Sunday (22.06.25) to confirm the she's has given birth to a daughter named felicity, who joins the couple's son Raphael, who was born in 2023. Sharing a picture of herself cuddling her new baby on Instagram, Samantha wrote: "Hello Felicity." Samantha went public with her pregnancy news back in May during an interview with the BBC as she prepared for the VE Day 80th Anniversary concert in London. She said: "The dress is being steamed, the hair and make-up is ready ... [I'm] nearly nine months pregnant so it's going to be me and baby performing for royalty tonight so it's her first adventure." Samantha and Alex married in Tuscany, Italy, in June 2022 and the actress previously admitted she felt "drunk in love" on her big day. She gushed to Britain's OK! magazine: "It was everything we could ever hope for, and so much more. You plan every intricate detail of a wedding and hope it all happens the way it's supposed to, and it did. "There was nothing I would change from the day, it all went perfectly and smoothly, but what you can't prepare yourself for is everyone you love being there and celebrating with you, and the atmosphere of that. It took us by surprise ... Samantha - who has been playing Elsa in the West End production of Frozen: The Musical, added of her wedding dress: "I felt very much like me in the dress, which is great. I spend my life being other people and other characters so, on my wedding day, I wanted to feel: 'That's so me'." The happy couple went on to welcome their son Rafael Richard Barks-Stoll in October, 2023 and Samantha shared the happy news on Instagram alongside a black and white picture of her newborn's hand. She wrote: "Welcome Rafael Richard Barks-Stoll, born on 16th October. My heart could burst with happiness." It's been a huge year so far for Samantha as she was recently seen in the UK version of The Masked Singer, which she won in January. Speaking after her TV triumph, the singer gushed: "You know what this has been the most fun experience. "I've loved this whole secret spy life and I can't believe it's over and I can't believe I won?"

Etro Spring 2026 Menswear Collection

Etro took a quieter route this season, presenting its men's collection without fanfare in a showroom display. Shown on mannequins and designed by the in-house team, the collection stayed within familiar territory, riffing on the brand's paisley prints without pushing for reinvention. The motifs were drawn from an archival pochette, and reimagined across fluid silk shirts, lightweight knitted blousons, and the brand's signature pajama sets, complete with matching kimono robes, for a touch of worldly nonchalance. Ornamental prints were woven into a more grounded menswear lexicon, a deliberate move that balanced Etro's signature decorative penchant with pragmatism. Soft-tailored suits, relaxed silhouettes, and a focus on timeless wearability anchored the collection, offering a sartorial counterpoint to the brand's usual visual exuberance. This was Etro exercising some self-restraint. The prints, often known to steal the spotlight, were given supporting roles, letting the collection lean into a quieter, more composed sophistication. Less 'flamboyant wanderer,' more 'gentleman with an agenda full of boardroom meetings and dinner reservations.'

Elephant Hackney: former Manteca chef puts on Italian classics in old Victorian boozer

Another old East London pub has been reworked into a modern venue serving cocktails and Italian food. The Elephant's Head, a former Victorian boozer, has been reborn as Elephant Hackney and is the work of Rum Kitchen founder Stevie Thomas and former Manteca sous Francesco Sarvonio. Sarvonio, Napoli-born, has put together a menu of dishes from the Italian south, with a focus on Neapolitan pizzas (between £12 and £18). Alongside the pizzas, the up-and-coming chef will be serving the likes of ox cheek croquettes with anchovy mayo, grilled squid with peppers and salsa verde, mozzarella with tomato carpaccio, fried courgette flowers with honey and seafood pastas. Prices are promising: small plates are around £10 and the most expensive item on the menu is a rib-eye steak at £29. Thomas, who is also managing director of the Jam House in Birmingham – a jazz parlour and restaurant founded by Jools Holland – has taken inspiration from east London's 'cinematic past' in building the venue. The pub's crown jewel is a 25-year-old skylight salvaged from a former East End cinema, while the name harks back to an enormous elephant head that once hung in Hackney Pavilion nearby. David Shrigley prints adorn the walls alongside vintage Italian posters and cocktails include spicy margaritas, espresso martinis, gin fizzes and Negronis. As for beers on tap, there's a custom Grolsch – nice to see it back on draught – Peroni and local beers from Five Points. Elephant Hackney will open on July 9 at 43 Lower Clapton Road, E5 0NS;

Russell T. Davies Hits Pause on DOCTOR WHO's Future: 'We Don't Know What's Happening Yet' — GeekTyrant

Doctor Who might have just wrapped up its latest season with one of the wildest twists in the show's 60-year history, but behind the scenes, things sound less certain. In the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, showrunner Russell T Davies admitted that the future of the series is, for the moment, in limbo. While he's made it clear that the show isn't over, the details on what's coming next are very much up in the air. Davies wrote in his production diary column: 'We don't know what's happening yet, and while everyone works that out, I'll take a pause on this page … Hopefully, we'll have news soon.' A source added: 'This letter is a production notes diary for when the show is in production, or on air, and as Russell has stated within the piece, it is a pause.' The uncertainty follows a finale that saw Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor regenerate into… Billie Piper, aka Rose Tyler, one of the most beloved companions in the modern era. Davies doubled down on the surprise without offering much in the way of clarity. 'No, not the end, don't be mad, Doctor Who will never end! There are pathways leading to potential futures – we've still got the mystery of that bright and blazing ending, 'Oh, hello,' yes indeed, hello Billie! And there's Susan, of course. I wonder if we'll ever find out who the Boss is. Or who the Boss are.' It's still unclear whether Piper is actually the new Doctor or part of something more experimental. Even the credits played coy, with no confirmation that she's taking over the role full-time. The BBC hasn't exactly been gentle about it either. A Dead Ringers parody of the finale skewered the twist, with the Doctor quipping, 'Laters, I'm going to regenerate into Billie Piper for clicks!' For now, the only sure thing is that a new Doctor Who spin-off, The War Between the Land and the Sea , is on its way. So, more Who is coming. Just maybe not in the way we expected. Via: Deadline
