Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate 103 redeveloped 'Amrit Stations' in 86 districts across 18 states and Union territories.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan's Bikaner district on Thursday where he will inaugurate the redeveloped Deshnoke railway station, and will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth more than Rs 26,000 crore.
He will also visit the famous Karni Mata temple in Deshnoke and address a public gathering in Palana, according to an official statement.

Besides, the prime minister will virtually inaugurate 103 redeveloped 'Amrit Stations' in 86 districts across 18 states and Union territories, which have been built at a cost of Rs 1,100 crore.
Inspired by temple architecture, the revamped Deshnoke station located near the Karni Mata temple is designed to serve the heavy influx of pilgrims with enhanced passenger amenities, the statement said.

Prime Minister Modi will also flag off the Bikaner-Mumbai Express train from Deshnok, marking a significant boost to passenger rail connectivity in the region.
Following the station inauguration, Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation development projects exceeding Rs 26,000 crore.
The projects span across railways, roadways, power, water supply, and renewable energy, underscoring the Centre's commitment to infrastructure and economic growth in Rajasthan and beyond, the statement said.
Rail electrification projects form another key component of the visit. Modi will lay the foundation stone for the 58-km Churu-Sadulpur rail line and dedicate to the nation several completed electrification projects including Suratgarh-Phalodi (336 km), Phulera-Degana (109 km), Udaipur-Himmatnagar (210 km), Phalodi-Jaisalmer (157 km), and Samdari-Barmer (129 km).
These upgrades are part of Indian Railways' move towards 100 per cent electrification, aimed at achieving greater energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, the statement said.
In the road transport sector, the prime minister will launch projects involving the construction of three vehicular underpasses, along with the widening and strengthening of several national highways.
Seven completed road projects will also be dedicated to the nation. With a cumulative cost of over Rs 4,850 crore, these initiatives are expected to ease the movement of goods and people while enhancing connectivity up to the India-Pakistan border, bolstering civilian travel and security logistics alike.
The visit will also witness a strong push towards renewable and conventional power. Modi will lay the foundation stone for solar projects in Bikaner and Nawa (Didwana Kuchaman), as well as transmission systems and other electricity-related works aimed at reinforcing Rajasthan's energy grid.
The prime minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 25 important projects initiated by the state government. These projects span sectors including healthcare, water supply, infrastructure, and connectivity, further supporting holistic development in the region, the statement said.

Eluru: The coalition government has initiated reforms to improve the school education system, said Housing, Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy. The minister distributed textbooks to students at Edara High School in Agiripalli mandal on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the education department has made arrangements to distribute kits with nine types of items under the name of Sarvepalli Radhakrishna Vidyarthi Mitra on the day of the opening of schools. Similarly, midday meals with fine variety rice will be provided to students. He said that due to this, 1,17,598 students studying in 1,768 government schools and 19,993 students in 132 hostels in the district will benefit. The government has prepared 6,73,00 textbooks, 7,62,338 notebooks etc to be supplied to students in the district. He said that the government is giving top priority to the education sector. As part of this, steps have been taken to fill 1035 teacher posts in the district through the DSC. Several education department officials, local public representatives, coalition leaders, and others participated in the programme. Participating in various development programmes in Agiripalli mandal, Parthasarathy said that many successes have been achieved in the first year of his rule. He laid the foundation stone for the Yadava Community Hall to be built with MPLADS funds of Rs 30 lakh at Nekkalam Gollagudem in Agiripalli mandal, and for the development work of the road from Eedara to Sobanapuram with NABARD funds of Rs 1.5 crore. He said that the development of roads has been given top priority during the rule of the coalition government across the state. He said that construction of roads and drains has been undertaken under the ZP in Nuzvid constituency with Rs 3.55 crore. The Roads & Buildings department has allocated Rs 30 crore on filling potholes apart from Rs 5 crore for the construction of Panchayat Raj roads. As part of welfare, pensions are being given in a large amount that has never been seen anywhere else in the country. He said that Rs 170 crore of NTR Bharosa pension was distributed in the Nuzvid constituency in a year. He said that the government deserves credit for reviving 204 Anna canteens across the state and satisfying the hunger of the poor. He said that from today onwards, the state government is implementing 'Talliki Vandanam'. He said that as part of the filling teacher posts, a Mega DSC has been announced with 16,347 posts and examinations are also being conducted. Many officials, dignitaries, and local public representatives were present at the event.

Ahmedabad Flight Crash: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reached Ahmedabad to take stock of situation after London-bound Air India flight, AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (registration VT-ANB), crashed minutes after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, killing at least 265 individuals. After reaching the airport, the Prime Minister, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, visited the crash site in the Meghaninagar area and Ahmedabad Civil Hospital to take stock of situation. PM Modi earlier said he was 'stunned" by the tragedy. 'It is heartbreaking beyond words. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with everyone affected by it. Have been in touch with Ministers and authorities who are working to assist those affected," he said on X on Thursday. On Thursday Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu had visited the site to take stock of the situation. The Centre has formed a high-level committee to probe the crash, Kinjarapu said. Ahmedabad Plane Crash India witnessed one of its worst aviation tragedies on Thursday after a London-bound Air India plane, carrying 242 passengers and crew, including former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani, crashed into a medical college complex shortly after taking off from the Ahmedabad airport. In an early morning post on X at 12.41am on Friday, Air India confirmed that 241 people had perished in the crash. A police official told news agency PTI that 265 bodies had been brought to the hospital. The plane had crashed into the mess area of a medical college hostel, causing what appears to be at lease two dozen fatalities on the ground. At around 1:38 pm, videos of the aircraft showed it flying low over a residential area and struggling to gain altitude. Within minutes, it hits the ground and explodes in a massive ball of fire. What seems to have compounded the impact was the fact that the airliner was loaded with aviation fuel since it was set to fly all the way to London. Officials said the flight lost altitude soon after taking off at around 1.30pm, before crashing into the residential quarters of BJ Medical College doctors in Meghaninagar area and going up in flames, sending plumes of thick black smoke spiralling up in the air. One person survived the tragedy. The lone survivor was identified as Indian-origin British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh who was returning to the UK with his brother Ajay Kumar Rakesh, 45, who was in a different row inside the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The aircraft had 232 passengers and 10 crew members, including 169 Indians, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese and a Canadian, on board. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in a statement said the aircraft piloted by captain Sumeet Sabharwal with 8,200 hours of experience and first officer Clive Kundar with 1,100 hours of experience made a mayday call just before the crash.
