3 arrested in Hong Kong over alleged graffiti spree across Kowloon in June

Police said on Sunday that a local couple and their friend, a Taiwanese passport holder, had been arrested the previous day in connection with the graffiti.
The arrest of the trio, aged 26 to 40, followed a report on Thursday that a road sign near Prince Edward Road East and Hip Yip Street in Ngau Tau Kok had been defaced with graffiti.
Officers from the force's Sau Mau Ping division took over the case, reviewing CCTV footage and analysing intelligence to identify the suspects, police said.

During the arrest operation, officers also searched an industrial building unit in Kwun Tong, seizing multiple cans of spray paint and three bicycles believed to be connected to the vandalism, the force said.

Mexican boxer Chavez Jnr deported from US over alleged cartel ties
Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr has entered a prison in the northern Mexico state of Sonora after his arrest in the United States in July, Mexico's national arrest registry showed on Tuesday. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, in her daily press conference, said the 39-year-old had been deported. She previously said there was a warrant for his arrest for charges of arms trafficking and organised crime, and that prosecutors were working on the case. The Mexican attorney general's office declined to comment. The boxer's extradition comes as US President Donald Trump cracks down on immigrants as part of a promise to deport millions of people. Chavez Jnr, the son of a legendary former world champion boxer Julio Cesar Chavez, was detained by US immigration authorities soon after losing in a sold-out match to American influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul. Mexican prosecutors allege he acted as a henchman for the powerful Sinaloa Cartel, which Washington designated a foreign terrorist organisation earlier this year.

Hong Kong patient, 89, arrested over indecent assault on hospital worker
An 89-year-old male patient has been arrested for allegedly indecently assaulting a female worker at a Hong Kong hospital. Tuen Mun Hospital reported that the allied health professional was allegedly assaulted in a rehabilitation ward at around 10am on Tuesday. Police arrested the suspect, a patient at the hospital. The man, who had been hospitalised for kidney failure caused by food poisoning, was using a walking frame at the time of the incident, the Post learned. The worker and a female medical assistant were helping him back to his bed from the ward corridor when he allegedly touched the former's chest and hand. He was later released on bail and is required to report to police next month.
