Jordon Hudson Breaks Silence on Miss Maine USA Pageant with Very Specific Taylor Swift Lyrics
On Monday, May 19, the former cheerleader, 24, posted a carousel of Instagram photos captured of her on stage at the two-day competition in Portland, Maine, where she was supported by boyfriend Bill Belichick, 73. Hudson shared images of her evening gown look — a sparkly violet dress decorated with a sash representing the town of Hancock — and her shimmery teal swimwear ensemble.
In one of the snaps, Hudson is seen accepting the pageant's style award while sporting the gold mini dress she wore during the event's opening number.
She didn't add any commentary in her caption and instead simply tagged the Maine Coast Fishermen's Association and the Maine Sea Grant page. Hudson did, however, add a musical accompaniment to her post, soundtracking the carousel to Taylor Swift's song "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince."

Though Swift's 2019 track does make a mention of a "pageant smile" in an earlier verse, Hudson's music selection begins later in the song. "No cameras catch my muffled cries/I counted days, I counted miles/To see you there, to see you there/And now the storm is coming," Swift sings before launching into the chorus, which references rumors and skewed reputations: "They whisper in the hallway, 'She's a bad, bad girl.'"
The song, which was released on the 14-time Grammy winner's Lover album, nods to themes of school-age gossiping. Swift's perspective is notably unconcerned by the talk around her; instead, the singer focuses on a romance undeterred by criticism.
Considering recent press attention on Hudson and Belichick, the Miss Maine USA contestant — who competed in the pageant in 2024 as well, previously placing second — could be using the song to characterize her own situation.

Before their weekend in Portland, the couple caught criticism after their awkward CBS News appearance on April 27, prompting their relationship to become a regular subject of news headlines.
Another photo from Hudson's recent Instagram post shows her speaking into a microphone held by the emcee as she answered a question during the last round of judging. As she took center stage, she began by sending another pointed message seemingly about the scrutiny of her situation.
"I'm feeling an immense amount of pride right now," she said into the microphone. "I'm hoping that anybody who is watching this finds the strength to push through whatever it is that they're going through and embodies that hate never wins."

Singer Tamar Braxton reveals she 'almost died' after bloody facial injury
Tamar Braxton is coping with a recent health scare. The "Celebrity Big Brother" winner, 48, took to her Instagram story on Aug. 19 to share that she'd broken her nose, lost "some teeth" and experienced impaired mobility over the weekend. "I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can't even really talk anymore I'm so weak," she wrote. "I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury," she wrote." "As the days go by the worse it is," she continued. 'I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins.. pray for me for real. I don't even know what happened to me.' USA TODAY has reached out to Braxton's representative for comment. Braxton, who hosts MTV's "Caught in the Act: Double Life," has a history of being open about her physical and mental struggles. As she competed on Season 21 of "Dancing with the Stars" in 2015, Braxton had to drop out of the competition after being hospitalized. What she'd thought was pneumonia was diagnosed as blood clots in her lungs. Years later, she spoke out against "toxic" forces in the television industry in 2020. After nearly a decade of starring on We TV's "Braxton Family Values" alongside her mother Evelyn and sisters, — Toni, Traci, Towanda, and Trina Braxton — she claimed she was "betrayed, taken advantage of, overworked, and underpaid." Braxton also mentioned her "cry for help" went unheeded, and she survived a suicide attempt. Soon after she made her story public, We TV said it would "honor her request to end all future work for the network." If you or someone you know may be struggling with suicidal thoughts, you can call or text 988 or chat online any time of day. Jennifer Tilly, 66, Poses for Nude 'Thirst Trap' Photo in Her Swimming Pool
The 'RHOBH' star posed for the revealing snap wearing nothing but red lipstick, sunglasses and a flower in her hair NEED TO KNOW Jennifer Tilly stripped down to nothing but red lipstick, sunglasses and a flower in her hair for an Instagram post on Monday, Aug. 18 "Thirst trap," she simply captioned the photo Tilly joined season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a friend of the show last year Jennifer Tilly is baring all! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 66, stripped down to nothing but sunglasses and a flower in her hair for an Instagram post shared Monday, Aug. 18. Leaving little to the imagination, Tilly stood completely nude in a pool as she folded her arms and stared into the camera, completing her look with red lipstick. She received lots of love in the comments section from fellow Bravolebrities and fans. LaLa Kent applauded Tilly's post with a "👏" Emoji while Lisa Rinna wrote, "🔥🔥🔥." Actress Donna D'Errico commented, "On fire! 🔥," while another fan added, "Consider me trapped." The Chucky actress joined season 14 of RHOBH as a friend of the show last year. She revealed what it was really like to film for the series, confessing it wasn't as glamorous as she thought it would be. 'I remember I was like, 'I live in Beverly Hills, and it'd be kind of fun to see Beverly Hills through the lens of really rich people,' ' she told Vulture in an interview published in August 2024. 'I thought that I was going to see a lot of people shopping on Rodeo Drive, but a lot of the filming that they do is in the Valley, in places where it's easier to get permits. So it's not like you're at the fanciest places in Beverly Hills, arguing.' Still, she later added that there was no shortage of drama. 'You come in without a script. It's just sort of like they just wade in there, and they go at it,' the Academy Award winner continued. 'In real life, if you're at a restaurant and people at the table are screaming at each other, you're mortified like, 'Oh my God. I can't believe I'm with these uncouth people.' But when I am sitting at a table with Housewives, I feel like I have a front-row seat at the Super Bowl.' Tilly also noted that she has no regrets about her new gig. 'I appreciate what they do,' she said of Housewives. 'I'm just going to say it's really challenging. It's the craziest thing I've ever done, but I'm really happy I'm doing it, and I think it's such an interesting kind of sharp left turn for my career.' "I'm not a Housewife. I'm a Friend, though, which is a lot easier," she continued in part. "You just dip in and out. You try to avoid, like, flying shrapnel. And you know, if drinks are thrown, I have good reflexes." The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills can be streamed on Peacock. Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword
