Angadi has been teaching Sanskrit for 26 years at the Vrushabha Lingacharya Sanskrit Pathshala in Bolegaon, Indi taluk, reported TOI. His interest in the language began after Class X, when he joined the school. His dedication caught the attention of Vrushabha Lingacharya Swamiji of Bathanal Mutt, who encouraged him to pursue a PU Sahitya course under Prahlad Bhat at Laxminarasimha Sanskrit Pathashaale, Jamkhandi, as per the TOI report.

2 mukhiyas to be feted at Red Fort
Motihari: Two mukhiyas from gram panchayats in East Champaran will be felicitated at the Red Fort on Aug 15 during the Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony for their exemplary work in water conservation under the MGNREGA scheme. The Jal Shakti ministry and defence ministry have jointly sent invitations asking them to attend the event along with their wives. The district administration confirmed the news, describing the atmosphere locally as one of celebration. Deshbandhu Singh, mukhiya of Mishrauliya gram panchayat under Areraj block and Jitendra Singh, mukhiya of Belwa gram panchayat under Adapur block, have been chosen for the honour. Residents expressed pride that their panchayats have gained national recognition for outstanding work in water conservation. According to official sources, 15 mukhiyas and village-level workers from across the country have been selected by the central govt for their exceptional performance in the "Catch the Rain" campaign run by the ministry of Jal Shakti. They include Deshbandhu Singh and Jitendra Singh of East Champaran; Ankita Jha and Prema Devi of Samastipur; Shiv Kumar Chauhan and Pranav Pandit of Gaya; Vinod Kumar Rai and Anamika Kumari of Saharsa; Vinod Kumar and Prince Kumar from Nawada; Munni Kumari and Kumari Premlata of Nalanda; Husne Ara Begam of Katihar; and Kumari Archana and Ajit Kumar of Sitamarhi districts. The invitees are scheduled to leave for Delhi from Patna with their spouses on Aug 13. Speaking to this newspaper, Deshbandhu said, "I have constructed 20 ponds, two rainwater harvesting units, 150 soak-pits, a ring dam in the Gandak river, planted 5,000 saplings, renovated 15 old wells and built a pipe bridge."
