You don't need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread, to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your Sun sign! Here's what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let's go!
A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: KNIGHT OF WANDS
Mercury turns direct (adios to the retrograde we all love to hate) and the Knight of Wands graces us with his charismatic, charming, adventurous presence, which combine to make this week a fantastically fun one! Let your hair down, revel, party, celebrate. Go 'out out'. Explore and travel. Start a new class or workshop or hobby. Join up to a lively-looking group or circle. Get social, get busy, get active. Follow your instincts as to where the 'life and soul' in your local area resides and show up there, visible and optimistic and ready to leap into whatever is going on. This is a week marked by coincidence, lucky breaks, chance encounters, and serendipity. Follow your instincts, be where you're meant to be, have a great time!
ARIES: FIVE OF WANDS
I know you're ruled by Mars, the god of war and all that, but simmer down, Aries. Stop pouring fuel of whatever fire is lighting up your competitive and passionate nature. The way through this squall is not by battling harder, forcing more, or shouting louder. Subtle moves. Quiet words. Strategic questions. Positive compromises. You want peace after all, don't you? Arguing is tiring and stokes up bad feeling. Get to the bottom of what's caused this fall out, listen well, simmer down, propose ideas, get to a shared understanding and resolution, even if it's to agree to disagree and take a break.
TAURUS: THE MAGICIAN
The Magician brings you enormous powers of creativity and invention this week, Taurus, so you can show off just how artistic and innovative you are (a hidden secret super power). Taureans are both aesthetic and practical, so you love to make beautiful outputs, perfectly crafted, built to last, in whatever field you're operating in. Invest time and energy making your work imaginative, inspired, and inventive this week and the rewards will roll in immediately. People will be amazed and also wanting more of the same. This could lead to a new role or whole new enterprise for you!
GEMINI: SEVEN OF CUPS
Your mind is a vast, challenging, whirring realm of quicksilver ideas, insights and questions, which works around the clock. It's a machine, but one that needs maintenance, down time, and recalibration. If you let yourself fly off to outliers and extremes, then you will amplify whatever it is you're thinking about, in an extreme way i.e. anxiety, dread, over confidence, delusion. Gemini, come back down to Earth this week. Validate and ground your thinking. Challenge assumptions. Streamline the themes and topics in play. Take deep rest and spend time daydreaming and just drifting, letting your cogs unwind and reset themselves. Mentally, you're in need of a reboot, a brief 7-day window of rest and repair.
CANCER: TWO OF SWORDS
You've gone round and round the houses on this issue, comparing options, weighing up different courses of action, not sleeping, overthinking, worrying that whatever you do will go awry. Cancer, enough of this procrastination era. It's time to make a choice, tough or otherwise. Whatever option you choose doesn't have to be perfect, or even right, because once you've lived it out a bit, you can always make a new choice. Nothing is forever or set in stone. Just take the next step and get moving again.
LEO: THE CHARIOT
The Chariot is a total boss, a power card, and invites you to set yourself a wonderful goal or challenge, and get on the move this very week to make it happen! Travel or location change is highly recommended, sometimes new landscape = new energy and opportunity. It's possible you've outgrown your surrounds in some respect, and simply need new territory to be the top lion/ness of! Alpha Leos need plenty of ground to cover, to avoid other Alpha Leos! Find your territory, mark it, prowl and explore it, and seek to make it better in some way than when you first found it. You are onto something new.
VIRGO: SIX OF WANDS
Good news, Virgo, because the Six of Wands is like getting a 'lucky break pass' (if such a thing existed) from the generous Universe! For the next six weeks, you are going to make everything you touch turn to gold (if only this was literal!). Good fortune, coincidence, and intuition will guide your choices and decisions. Feel things at gut instinct level before you take a stance. Notice omens and signs. Read the stars. Take a glance at your cards. See a psychic. Get every ounce of insight you can and then follow your hunches. What you go on to achieve will astound you. This success will far exceed anything you could've planned or rationalized.
LIBRA: TEMPERANCE
Balance is your catnip, harmony is your greatest craving. Librans love smooth seas and plain sailing. Temperance is a sign that all will be well this week and the key ingredient of that wellness is balance and harmony. Live in moderation. Don't overdo anything. Avoid excess in all its guises (food, drink, opinion, ideology, good things, negative vibes). A little bit of everything in moderation- including moderation itself! Your symbol is the scales, you have an in-built sense of equilibrium. Use it wisely and consciously to steer yourself to a grounded, secure position and live in balance.
SCORPIO: THE WORLD
The World is the tarot's final card and powerful totem of endings that lead to new beginnings (as well as a good omen for international travel or opportunity, if that's relevant). So, you're drawing some stuff to a head, to a conclusion, to a firm ending this week, things which are ready to close down. Be decisive, no loose ends. And, in doing so, you will free up head space, energy and open avenues for new ideas, invitations, and possibility to enter the frame. By the end of the week, you'll have formed a loose, but stirring, idea of what you're going to do next. It's going to be BIG!
SAGITTARIUS: SEVEN OF SWORDS
Jealousy is a powerful mover and shaker in the human race, compelling all kinds of wild and wicked actions and thoughts, and not a one of us is above it, we all know the green-eyed monster. It will visit you this week, Sagittarius—either as an imposter or within your own psyche. Notice it, acknowledge it, and act accordingly. If you're stricken with envy, then use that as fuel to put investment back into your own position. If you're subject to envy, then think of it as a compliment, but withdraw from its source, pull down the shades and steer clear. The green-eyed monster will pass by soon enough when you're no longer visible.
CAPRICORN: THE DEVIL
Did you know that The Devil is your sign's tarot card? Always surprises me as I don't think of Caps as devilish. However, it plays to your sophisticated, worldly, ambitious, slightly dangerous or ruthless side or edge. You know what you want, you know the price of getting it, and you're ready to pay it, hence you being the hardest worker of the zodiac (you have big ambitions, that require big energy). Sometimes you can veer off the straight and narrow in pursuit of your ambition, sometimes others get hurt by your indifference to their plight in comparison to your own. It's just a part of your nature. Don't try and diminish your ambitions. Cap, lean in and be powerful, pursue your goal with 100% effort. Let the haters hate.
AQUARIUS: QUEEN OF CUPS
Feelings are heightened this week, Aquarius, which often makes you feel unsettled, however you're in tune with and understanding of your emotions right now. You know why they're stirred and what the sensitivity is about, and you're ready, willing, and able to play therapist/nurturer/counselor/BFF to yourself too! Self care and compassion, patience and love. Be soft and gentle with yourself this week, as though you were a treasured child or pet! You are vulnerable, you need taking care of as you process what's happened, and come to a new place of acceptance. This takes a bit of time and a lot of mercy and compassion for yourself and your precious heart.
PISCES: THE FOOL
The Fool is the tarot's first card and patron saint of new beginnings, clean slates, and fresh starts. What a breath of cleansing and inspiring air! Breathe deeply, Pisces, and use this magical energy to take a bold leap into the unknown! Don't overthink yourself, just jump! You are embarking on a new adventure that might be related to travel, technology, progressive causes, an invention or innovative pitch or role. And you don't need to have a 10-year plan to activate this good cause, you just need the confidence to make that leap and the pathway will form from there.Are you ready?
