After a legendary run with the Kentucky Wildcats from 2009 to 2024, Calipari took over another national brand in hopes of bringing a championship to the college basketball program.
Last season at Arkansas, Calipari led the team to the NCAA Tournament, where they found unexpected success early in the postseason.
They began the tournament with a win over Kansas, the preseason No. 1 team in the nation, and followed that with a victory over St. John's, the Big East champions, before losing to Texas 85-82 in round 16.
After the season, Calipari and his staff set their eyes on bulking up the roster to make a deeper tournament run and compete for a national title.

During his time with KK Bosna in the Adriatic League 2nd Division, Dzafic posted 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

They're also bringing in one of the most talented transfers in the country, Malique Ewin from Florida State, and a top point guard in Darius Acuff.

QB Power Rankings Spark Mocking Reaction from Bears WR Luther Burden III

QB Power Rankings Spark Mocking Reaction from Bears WR Luther Burden III originally appeared on Athlon Sports. In the heart of NFL offseason debates, media outlets and analysts are publishing their updated rankings—and not everyone is thrilled with what they're seeing. One recent list in particular has drawn a mix of raised eyebrows and rolling eyes from fans and players alike. A new QB ranking from a national outlet didn't just spark conversation—it prompted a reaction from one of the Bears' most prized rookies. Advertisement FOX Sports' Henry McKenna released his latest QB Stock Market column, an outlook ranking all 32 starting quarterbacks. The post, which was reshared by the Caleb Williams Fan Club account, featured notable names like Jalen Hurts at #5 and Jaden Daniels at #6. Quarterback Caleb WilliamsGetty Images But what stood out was the inclusion of Vikings second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy at #12—well ahead of Bears QB Caleb Williams, who landed at #21. That detail didn't go unnoticed by Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III, who reacted with a single laughing emoji. While Burden didn't add any words, the implication was clear—and he wasn't alone. Fan responses piled on quickly: 'I don't know how you rank McCarthy at all considering he didn't play a snap last year.' 'J.J. MCCARTHY even being on the LIST higher than 32!' 'JJ McCarthy hasn't played a single snap in the league and yet he's top 15???? Yeah Ok lol.' Advertisement McKenna defended the placement: 'You could put just about anyone in the Vikings' QB slot, and I'd get excited about him. But McCarthy was a top-10 pick in what's shaping up to be an incredible QB class. This year, McCarthy might look like 2023 Brock Purdy — an athletic point guard with an idyllic supporting cast.' Burden's subtle jab likely stems from belief in what he's seen from Caleb Williams throughout camp. As offseason workouts continue, it's clear that inside the locker room, confidence in the Bears' new franchise quarterback is already taking root. Scottie Scheffler Sends Emotional Message to Wife Meredith After Memorial Tournament Win

Scottie Scheffler Sends Emotional Message to Wife Meredith After Memorial Tournament Win originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The world's No. 1 ranked golfer, Scottie Scheffler, continued his dominance on Sunday by securing his second consecutive victory at the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, hosted by the legendary Jack Nicklaus. Advertisement Scheffler joined Tiger Woods as only the second player to win back-to-back at this course, finishing 10-under for the weekend. This marked his third PGA Tour victory of the season and extended his remarkable streak of seven straight top-10 finishes. Despite his success, Scheffler made it clear that none of it would be possible without the unwavering support of his wife, Meredith Scudder, who has stood by him at every tournament win alongside their child, Bennett. During his post-win interview, CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis asked, 'You know, watching you, Meredith, and Bennett, it makes me think of Barbra Nicklaus and how much she contributed to Jack's career with her support. Talk about what this balance looks like for you and the support Meredith provides to help you be the best father, husband, and the No. 1 player in the world.' Scheffler's emotions surfaced instantly as he replied, 'Yeah, you're really trying to make me emotional now. My wife is my biggest supporter; she's my best friend. This is our life out here on the road, and it's been a lot of fun. We've had some special memories at this tournament, and yeah, I definitely couldn't do it without her.' The couple, both Texas natives and high school sweethearts, were married in December 2020. Advertisement Back in 2022, after winning his first Masters, Scheffler shared a powerful moment with Meredith that helped put everything into perspective. 'My identity isn't a golf score,' he said. 'Like Meredith told me this morning, 'If you win this golf tournament today, if you lose this golf tournament by 10 shots, if you never win another golf tournament again,' she goes, 'I'm still going to love you. You're still going to be the same person. Jesus loves you, and nothing changes.'' If he maintains the incredible form he's shown over the past two years, he's on pace to achieve some truly historic milestones. Advertisement Although he's not expected to play in the upcoming RBC Canadian Open, Scheffler still has two majors left this season—the U.S. Open and The Open Championship. Winning both would complete his career Grand Slam, a feat only a select few have ever achieved.
