Foundation Stone Laid for Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Mosque in Salman City

Salman City: Following the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to open, renovate, and restore 40 mosques under the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Directorates across the Kingdom of Bahrain, Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Yusuf bin Ahmed bin Ali Kanoo Mosque in Salman City.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Dr. Al Hajeri highlighted the Kingdom's ongoing efforts in constructing and maintaining mosques under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also highlighted the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in ensuring the development of mosques across all governorates.
The mosque consists of two floors, with a total area of 2,998 square metres, accommodating more than 900 worshippers. It includes two prayer halls for men and women, two event halls, a Quran memorisation centre, as well as service facilities and parking spaces.

Let's refresh and remember the unprecedented and great sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives for a free and sovereign Pakistan. We are pleased to share a brief overview of Pakistan School, Bahrain, on this joyous occasion. The baseline of Pakistan School goes back to the later part of 1960s when the leading visionary members of the community realized the need for a schooling system for their children, leading to the establishment of a small primary school in 1968 in a rented building in Fareej Fadhel area of Manama. After a few years the school was upgraded to secondary level education following affiliation with the Federal Board, Islamabad, Pakistan. In 1984, the new campus of the Pakistan School was constructed in Isa town, which was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. Two new blocks, Jinnah Block and Sir Sayed Block were constructed in Isa Town Campus, between 1994-95. Today Pakistan school has two wings, Manama (Primary) and the main campus Isa Town. Pakistan School's Federal Board results have shown consistent and impressive improvement over the last few years. Around 1144 students have achieved A and A+ Grades in the Federal Board, Islamabad examinations. Students of Pakistan School have once again maintained their consistency of exemplary performance and achievements by clinching excellent results i.e.: An unprecedented 96.15 % in the Federal Board Exam of SSC-II Annual Examination 2025. Our prominent position holders of SSC-I & II are: SSC-I 1) Abiha Fatima 93.08% 2) Tayyaba Mubarak 92.12% 3) Mohammad Rehan 90.38% SSC-II 1) Yashfeen Mohammad Shafiq 91.91% 2) Eman Khan Noor Zamin Khan 91.73 % 3) Kanza Rehman 91.27% Students of Pakistan School also maintained their consistency of exemplary performance and achievements by clinching excellent results i.e., an unprecedented 94.62 % in the Federal Board Exam of HSSC Annual 2024. Besides Federal Board Examination, our students have also showcased their skills in the TIMMS, PIRLS and World Scholar's Cup. Pakistan School students have won 856 Gold and 598 Silver medals and trophies in the World Scholar's Cup competitions from 2018 to 2025. Outstanding Achievements · 135 Gold Medals · 74 Silver Medals · Team Challenge – First Position · Champion Scholar – First Position · Jac Khor Special Award – First Position (Scholar's Challenge is a 120-multiple-choice question exam across six subjects. The highest scorer is honored with the Jac Khor Award.) · Literature & Media – First Position · Art & Music – First Position · History – First Position · Writing Champion – Second Position · Overall Team Position – Third Position Among the distinguished achievers, Sarah Saif (Grade 11 G2) made history by securing first position in multiple subject areas and earning the prestigious title of Best Scholar of the Contest. A majority of Pakistan School's teams have successfully qualified for the Global Round, marking yet another milestone in the institution's illustrious participation in the World Scholars' Cup.

The news was shared by his father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, in a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), quoting a verse from the Quran and expressing deep sorrow over the loss of his beloved son. "With hearts full of faith in God's will and with great sadness, we mourn our dear son Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who passed away today," the message read. Prince Al-Waleed fell into a coma in 2005 following a traumatic brain injury. TDT | Manama As Bahrain readies for Eid Al Adha, preparations across the Kingdom's mosques reflect a growing blend of tradition and technology. Modern sound systems have been installed in key prayer halls, ensuring that the sacred chants of the season are heard clearly and uniformly during one of Islam's holiest gatherings. The Sunni Endowments Council, under the leadership of Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Ftais Al Hajri, announced that all arrangements for Eid prayers have been finalised in coordination with relevant authorities. The efforts are aimed at creating a spiritually uplifting and logistically seamless experience for worshippers across all governorates. Assigned work teams have spent recent days cleaning courtyards, readying interior spaces, and deploying organisational staff to prayer locations. In particular, attention has been given to enhancing the main prayer halls and ensuring that each site is fully equipped for high turnout.
