17 open-air sites ready for Eid Al Adha prayers

Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, has announced that Eid Al Adha prayers will be held at official mosques and designated open air prayer areas under the Directorate's supervision on Friday June 6, at 5:00 a.m., in observance of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). A dedicated committee formed by Dr. Shaikh Al Hajeri identified the main prayer sites, including those designated for expatriate communities in selected schools across the Kingdom. The committee confirmed the locations and closures as follows: East Hidd 1. Prayer Area in East Hidd (Hayy Al Julaiah); Closures include Al Noor Prayer Area (Kooheji), Fatima bint Fahad Al Musallam Mosque, Ahmed Abdullah Al Khaja Mosque, and Mohammed bin Mohammed Ahmadi Mosque. 2. Prayer Area in Hidd (Block 111); Closure of Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park Mosque. Diyar Al Muharraq 3. Prayer Area in Diyar Al Muharraq (southern parking area at Souq Al Baraha); Souq Al Baraha Mosque to be closed. Muharraq 4. Prayer Area in Muharraq (near Muharraq Cemetery); Closures include Hamad bin Ali Kanoo Mosque, Al Ghawy Mosque, Dhabiya bint Rashid Mosque in Busaiteen, and Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Mahmeed Mosque in Dohat Arad. Busaiteen 5. Prayer Area in Busaiteen (Sahil Al Sayah); Closure of Ummahat Al Mu'mineen Mosque (near Muharraq Municipality). Salmaniya 6. Prayer Area in Salmaniya; No surrounding mosques will be closed. Northern Riffa 7. Prayer Area in Northern Riffa (near Al Estiqlal Walkway); Closures include Abu Al Fateh Mosque and Al Rahim Mosque. Eastern Riffa 8. Prayer Area in Eastern Riffa (Riffa Fort); Closures include Al Qal'ah Mosque, Shaikha Lulwa bint Faris Al Khalifa Mosque, Shaikh Salman Mosque (Riffa Market), and Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Ghatam Mosque. Hajiyat 9. Prayer Area in Hajiyat (Road 2930, Block 929); Closure of Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa Mosque. 10. Prayer Area in Hajiyat (Mega Mart parking area, Road 3918, Block 939); No surrounding mosques will be closed. Askar 11. Prayer Area in Askar (Heritage Village); No surrounding mosques will be closed. Zallaq 12. Prayer Area in Zallaq (Tamkeen Youth Centre Square); No surrounding mosques will be closed. Hamad Town 13. Prayer Area in Hamad Town (Roundabout 17, opposite Hamad Kanoo Health Centre); Closures include Zainal Mosque, Musab bin Umair Mosque, Isa Mohammed Ali Mosque, and Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan Mosque. 14. Prayer Area in Hamad Town (Youth Centre at Roundabout 2); Closures include Hamad Town Mosque and Ramla bint Abi Sufyan Mosque. Budaiya 15. Prayer Area in Budaiya (Eid Prayer Area); Closure of Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Mousa Mosque. Salman City 16. Prayer Area in Salman City (northern shore square, Road 8101, Block 581); Closures include Mohammed Abdullah Bahloul and his wife Fatima Al Khaja Mosque, and Salman City Kabinah Mosques (Nos. 1 and 3) New Ramli Housing 17. Prayer Area in New Ramli Housing; Closure of Moza bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi Mosque. The Directorate said all sites are fully prepared with carpets, electronic and electrical equipment, sound systems, water, and other necessities. Inspection teams from the maintenance and engineering departments have worked to ensure worshippers' comfort.

Foundation Stone Laid for Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Mosque in Salman City

Salman City: Following the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to open, renovate, and restore 40 mosques under the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Directorates across the Kingdom of Bahrain, Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Yusuf bin Ahmed bin Ali Kanoo Mosque in Salman City. According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Dr. Al Hajeri highlighted the Kingdom's ongoing efforts in constructing and maintaining mosques under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also highlighted the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in ensuring the development of mosques across all governorates. The mosque consists of two floors, with a total area of 2,998 square metres, accommodating more than 900 worshippers. It includes two prayer halls for men and women, two event halls, a Quran memorisation centre, as well as service facilities and parking spaces.

Sunni Endowments Directorate Completes Renovation of Manar Al Huda Mosque in Sanad

Sanad: Under the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Sunni Endowments Directorate has completed the renovation and expansion of Manar Al Huda Mosque in Sanad. This effort is part of a broader initiative to restore and develop 40 mosques under the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Directorates. According to Bahrain News Agency, the mosque was inaugurated by Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council. He emphasized that the renovation project reflects His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's support for places of worship and His Royal Highness's dedication to preserving mosques and facilitating religious practices in accordance with Islamic values. Shaikh Dr. Al Hajeri also noted the success of previous mosque development initiatives under His Royal Highness's guidance, illustrating Bahrain's ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing places of worship. Additionally, he praised the role of benefactors and donors, underscoring that the construction, restoration, and upkeep of mosques are pivotal acts of devotion and exemplify social partnership.
