MasterChef Australia fans are convinced they already know who will win the new season as the debut episode offers up convincing clues
The seventeenth season of the hit cooking series has seen 24 returning contestants step back into the famous kitchen for another shot at the $250,000 grand prize.
Among them is South Australian chef Callum, who first captured hearts as the runner-up on season two, before returning for season 12 and placing fourth.
Since his last appearance, the talented cook has gone from strength to strength - opening two new restaurants and expanding his long-running cooking school, Sprout.
Now, he's back for a third time and appears more determined than ever to claim the prestigious title.
Monday's episode saw Callum step up as team leader in a high-stakes challenge - and fans quickly flooded social media to heap praise on his impressive leadership and creativity.

'Team Callum deserves the win not only for the food - but for the excellent teamwork and leadership of Callum!' one viewer wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
'Callum you better win this whole damn thing!' another added, while a third cheered: 'Green team for the win!'
However, not all comments were glowing, with one viewer taking aim at the casting, claiming: 'Some of the contestants are VERY lame, only there to seem diverse.'
Despite the minor backlash, the overwhelming majority of fans have thrown their support behind Callum, with many convinced he's the frontrunner to win the entire series.
Judges Andy Allen, Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin, and Jean-Christophe Novelli have returned to the panel this season, with Gordon Ramsay also joining as a special guest for the first week.
Alongside podium finishers, other faces are fresh from Season 16 like Darrsh Clarke, Sav Perera, and Snezana Calic.
Others are stepping back into the kitchen for the first time in years, including Andre Ursini who competed in the inaugural season 16 years ago.
It comes amid reports viewers have gone online to speculate that the producers have spoiled the show after dropping a promo poster showing just six of the 24 contestants who will battle it out in the kitchen.

The featured contestants are lined up in the image and appear in various sizes, including Laura Sharrad who starred in seasons 6 and 12.
Also appearing in the promo are season 16's Savindri Perera and Darrsh Clarke as well as Tim Bone from season 11.
There's also Declan Cleary from season 15, while the image of fan favourite Steph De Sousa from season 11 looms largest in the poster.
Many fans felt Laura Sharrad was a shoe-in based on her appearance on the poster.
A fan Reddit started the discussion by asking, 'Do you think the winner is pictured?'
'Considering that Laura is the only pictured contestant from before season 11, do you think she wins, or do you think that the winner is not pictured?'
'I do think majority of them probably went far or did pretty well, while maybe at least one maybe goes out relatively early?' said one fan.
Observed another: 'It's interesting that those are the ones chosen for it. I do think just based on the trailers, it seems like Laura and Darrsh are the main characters so far.'
'The only one out of these that could realistically win is Laura, I think.'
It comes after controversial celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, 58, was announced as a guest judge on the new season's Back to Win competition which is set to premiere on April 28.
The notoriously hot-tempered Ramsay will be joined in the kitchen by regular judges Andy Allen, Sofia Levin, Poh Ling Yeow and Jean-Christophe Novelli.
Ramsay last appeared on the hit cooking competition in 2018.
Andre Ursini, who made his TV debut in 2009 as a contestant on MasterChef Australia, recently announced his return to the show.
The 44-year-old chef and restaurateur posted the news on his Instagram, along with a fresh trailer for the Back To Win season.

EastEnders fans call former couple 'endgame' as they finally reunite in steamy scenes
EastEnders fans were overjoyed at the end of Monday night's episode as Ravi Gulati and Priya Nandra-Hart unexpectedly rekindled their relationship in steamy scenes It was an eventful time in Albert Square on Monday, as EastEnders fans were left overjoyed when former couple Ravi Gulati and Priya Nandra-Hart unexpectedly rekindled their romance. After moving out from Suki Panesar's house after Suki was exposed for asking pregnant teen Avani to keep her baby for her, Avani and her mum Priya moved in with her ex Ravi, Avani's father. Now, it looks like the two could be getting back on track - but one huge thing stands in the way. The unexpected scenes came after an argument between the two became passionate after Ravi scolded Priya for not taking Avani shopping like he'd promised, after her recent termination. It comes after an EastEnders legend was rushed to hospital after a deadly attack by a familiar face. Ravi, who still has the police watching over him following his dodgy dealings, opened up about how he felt bad for continuously letting his daughter down. Reassuring her ex, Priya said: "You've been brilliant with her. Getting her away from Suki for a start. And I mean you were probably having a go at Jack to look out for her. I reckon you've been a pretty good dad to her today, even if you didn't take her out." Ravi later opened up about losing the restaurant due to tax problems, but told Priya that she and the kids were all that mattered to him. "Isn't that what you want? Me, you, the kids, a proper family," Ravi said as the pair leaned in to kiss each other. It didn't stop there as the next scene cut to the couple in the bedroom, with Priya telling Ravi: "I thought you'd have learnt a few new things after all these years. Of course, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to react to the raunchy scenes. One fan wrote: "Priya & Ravi have the potential to be the greatest couple the square has ever seen." Another fan said: "I ship Ravi and Priya so bad," as a third wrote: "I will take Ravi and Priya in any way I can get them." A further fan called them " endgame". However, the conversation quickly turned serious, as Priya told Ravi that she wanted to get back together, which can't happen whilst he's still into "all the shady stuff". Despite Ravi promising Priya he's find a way to be legit again, it doesn't look like it'd be happening anytime soon. At the end of the episode, he was heard telling someone on the phone to "shift as much gear as you can" on Bank Holiday weekend. Will Ravi ever change his ways and will the family be back together for good? EastEnders confirms passionate Ben and Callum reunion after death of character
Ballum fans, get ready. The brief reunion of your favourite EastEnders couple is about to begin. For those of you out of the loop, Ballum is, of course, portmanteau – or ship name – for Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) and Callum Highway (Tony Clay). The two have been estranged since early last year, but new photos show them embracing one another at a very sad occasion for the Highway clan. While the full details of his return plot haven't been revealed, we know that he will be in Walford for the funeral of Jonno, the father of Stuart (Ricky Champ) and Callum. New pictures taken from the churchyard show Callum having an intense confrontation with his husband, as Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) stands beside him. This seems to be just moments after Ben climbs out of a black car in handcuffs. The two begin to kiss, which seems to evoke jealous in Callum's new bit on the side. Another snap shows them stood side by side, almost turning their backs on one another. Things clearly get heated between the men, as Callum holds out his hand in frustration and Stuart giving a disapproving look in Johnny's direction. Ben is completely absent in another photo as Jonno's coffin is lowered into the ground. Johnny comforts Callum, who looks pained and tearful, with Ben wiping away his own tears. It's going to be a rollercoaster of emotions! Max will return alongside Ricky as Ben and Stuart for the story later in the autumn. Ben will be on day release from prison in America, while Stuart will only visit due to having a life away from Albert Square with Rainie (Tanya Franks). Jonno, portrayed by Richard Graham, appeared in just four episodes in 2019. Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) – then engaged to Callum – reached out to him, unaware that he has abused both Callum and Stuart in their childhood. Making himself out to be a changed man, his true colours soon shone through when he fought with Ben and used homophobic language, and then pinned Callum up against a wall. Jonno was subsequently thrown out of Walford, and upon his return two months later, was surprised to hear that Callum's wedding to Whit' hadn't gone ahead. Callum came out as gay, and a disgusted Jonno accused Ben of turning his son 'into one of them'. Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) dealt a menacing punch, and Jonno threatened to go to the police. The punters in the Queen Vic, including Whitney, all decided to deny seeing Phil attack him. Ben went to prison because he was arrested for stealing someone's credit card, and making a number of purchases while exploring treatment options for Lola – who had a brain tumour – in the States. Ben and Callum vowed to make their relationship work while he was behind bars, but absence certainly hasn't made the heart grow fonder. More Trending Callum and Johnny shared a surprise smooch during the Pride event at The Prine Albert, which effectively ended Johnny's romance with recently departed Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison). The guilt didn't stop Callum going back for more, but their secret affair was soon uncovered by Phil, who violently attacked Johnny. Since then, the pair have cooled things off, with Callum insisting he is committed to waiting for Ben.
