Trent Alexander-Arnold has effectively been prohibited from driving his £130,000 Range Rover to Real Madrid's training ground. The England international officially became a part of Los Blancos on Sunday, penning a six-year contract after departing from his childhood club Liverpool as a free agent.
The Premier League champions received an £8.4million fee for the 26 year old to release him early from his contract, as Real Madrid were eager for him to join their squad in time for the Club World Cup later this month.

However, as Alexander-Arnold gets familiar with the rest of Xabi Alonso's team, he will have to say goodbye to the car model he's been driving around the UK. One of Alexander-Arnold's favourite vehicles to drive had been a Range Rover P530.

His luxury SUV boasted a 4.4 V8 twin-turbo engine that delivered 530 horsepower and a maximum torque of 750 Nm. His version of the model, which is no longer available to purchase, was priced by Land Rover at £130,000.
Equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system, it could propel its more than 2.5 tonnes from 0 to 100km/h in 2.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 155mph, reports the Liverpool Echo.

However, if the player had been hoping to ship his car over to Madrid or purchase a similar model for everyday use in Spain, he would've been sorely disappointed. This is due to Real Madrid's sponsorship agreement with BMW, which prevents players from driving any other brand of car to training, according to Spanish outlet El Motor.
Annually, the German car producer equips Real Madrid players across the men's and women's football teams as well as the basketball squad with vehicles to utilise during the season. Included in this arrangement are only the plug-in hybrid and electric models, which BMW eventually markets as pre-owned.
Despite any potential letdown for Alexander-Arnold, he's set to continue enjoying a top-tier SUV similar to his present vehicle, completely on the house. For instance, the BMW XM, known for its sporty edge, is favoured within the team.

Teammates like Kylian Mbappe and fellow England international Jude Bellingham have selected this model, which delivers an impressive 653hp and bears a price tag of approximately £152,000. Vinicius Junior, on the other hand, went for the marginally more expensive BMW i7 M70 xDrive, retailing at £157,000.
Alexander-Arnold has seamlessly transitioned into his new milieu, marking his debut public outing as a player for Los Blancos at Barcelona's Spanish Grand Prix. In attendance, he networked with club icon Roberto Carlos and even shared a photo op with him.
Even off the pitch, the Liverpool academy product expressed eagerness for his next venture, responding affirmatively to Real's social media announcement heralding new manager Alonso with "El Jefe" – the Spanish phrase for 'the boss'.

Premier League clubs in the race to sign Newcastle duo with Magpies set for overhaul after securing Champions League qualification

Two Newcastle midfielders could be on their way out of St James' Park this summer amid interest from Premier League sides. The Magpies secured Champions League qualification on the final day of the Premier League season and will be keen to bolster their squad after struggling to deal with the demands of domestic and European football during the 2023-24 campaign. Having failed to break into Eddie Howe 's settled starting side, several first team stars are expected to depart the club this summer. Among them include the likes of Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock, who started eight and 11 matches in the Premier League respectively. Newly promoted side Leeds United are showing interest in Longstaff, who failed to register a goal or an assist in his 25 appearances in the top flight. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are among the clubs keen on Willock, who fared slightly better with two assists in his 32 outings. Elsewhere, Leeds also admire Shea Charles of Southampton and have asked about Udinese defender Jaka Bijol. Charles made 44 appearances on loan in the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday and has earned three senior international caps for Northern Ireland.

Ronaldo makes shock injury revelation after Portugal win Nations League

Cristiano Ronaldo says he came into the Nations League final with an injury, but battled through the pain to score as Portugal went on to beat Spain on penalties. The 40-year-old started the match at the Allianz Arena and scored Portugal's second equaliser on 61 minutes after Spain had twice taken the lead. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United superstar did not quite make it to 90 minutes, going down injured just before the end of normal time, replaced by Goncalo Ramos. He could only watch on during a goalless extra-time before his country won thanks to scoring five penalties in the shootout, while Alvaro Morata missed his spot-kick for Spain. It was not clear exactly what the injury was that Ronaldo was struggling with, but he revealed that he did not suffer it late in the game, but before kick-off. 'I had already felt it during the warm-up, I had been feeling it for some time,' Ronaldo said, via Record. 'But for the national team, if I had to break a leg, I would. 'It's a title, I had to play and I gave my all, I went as far as I could. I helped with a goal.' He added of his second Nations League win with Portugal: 'I'm so happy. Winning for Portugal is very special. I have many titles, but nothing is better than winning for Portugal. 'The tears and the sense of duty fulfilled. It's beautiful. It's our nation. We are a small people, but with great ambition. 'I've lived in many countries, I've played for many clubs, but when they talk about Portugal it's a special feeling. Being the captain of this generation, it's a source of pride. 'Winning a title is always the highlight of a national team. The future is about thinking in the short term. I had an injury and that was too much, too much… I pushed, because for the national team you have to push.' The entertaining contest at the Allianz Arena saw three goals before the half-time break. Martin Zubimendi put Spain ahead on 21 minutes before Nuno Mendes quickly equalised just five minutes later. Mikel Oyarzabal put the Spaniards back ahead just before the interval as he expertly completed a lovely move, but the lead again did not last long as Ronaldo prodded home just after the hour-mark. Portugal looked the more likely side to grab a winner later on and during extra-time, but could not find one before the final whistle. The match went to a penalty shootout where there was a string of brilliantly taken spot-kicks until Alvaro Morata saw his tame effort saved by Diogo Costa. Ruben Neves made no such mistake and found the back of the net to see Portugal claim victory 5-3 on penalties. More Trending It is the second time Portugal have won the Nations League in only the fourth edition of the event. Ronaldo started the 1-0 win over Netherlands as his country won the tournament in 2019 and has got his hands on the trophy again six years later. Spain have reached the final for the third straight edition of the Nations League, losing to France in 2021, beating Croatia in '23 and narrowly losing out this time round. Wrexham line up move for Tottenham star as Phil Parkinson looks to strengthen his squad for the Championship

Wrexham want Ben Davies despite Tottenham exercising their option to extend the defender's contract by 12 months at the weekend. Davies has been a Spurs player since 2014 and he featured in 28 games under Ange Postecoglou last season, despite not being a member of the manager's first-choice XI. Davies has played 358 games for Tottenham in total, operating both as a left back and a central defender. He is a popular member of the dressing room and especially close to captain Son Heung-min. Davies recently saw his contract extended until June 2026, which means Wrexham would likely need to pay Spurs a modest transfer fee to land him this summer. Tottenham's willingness to let Davies leave could depend on whether or not they are successful in their attempts to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite. Spurs are expected to formalise their interest in 22-year-old Branthwaite next week. Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson looks set for a busy summer following his side's promotion from League One to the Championship. Davies has never played below the top tier of English football, having been a Premier League player for his entire club career to date. The 32-year-old made 71 Premier League appearances for Swansea between 2012 and 2014. He has played a further 242 Premier League games for Spurs.
