9 Celebs Who Had The Most Absurd Reactions To Canada's Bagged Milk — Because Yep, Americans Know Nothing About Canada
Up here in Canada, we do a lot of...unique...things that seem to confuse the rest of the world. Like, I don't think anyone truly understands how to use the word "eh" correctly, even though it's very obvious to all of us Canadians.
And another huge thing that's normal in Western Canada, but nonexistent almost everywhere else in the world? BAGGED MILK. Yep, you heard me right. MILK IN A BAG.
So over the past year, we've been conducting an *experiment of sorts* over here at BuzzFeed Canada, to answer some vital questions. Can our favourite celebrities figure out how to pour bagged milk properly? And what are their general reactions to it?
Today, we're gonna present alllll our fun results — which we've also been uploading on TikTok, in a series we like to call Milking It. Here we go:
1. The very first person we tested was Tom Schwartz, who you might know from Vanderpump Rules. He literally gasped when we gave him the bag, and said, "I've heard about this! It's a BAG of MILK." He was having a bit of a moment. A connection to the Canadian lifestyle.
He proceeded to use the milk to make a beautiful espresso martini...but yeah, definitely didn't pour it right. "I think you just nip the corner?" He made a rookie mistake: cutting the corner and pouring the milk from the bag straight into the jug. Tom also fought the urge to "puncture it," which would've been kinda scary.
BuzzFeed
Our rating: 6/10, but only for the espresso martini. Otherwise this score would probably be much lower. My apologies for the bias.

2. Also from Vanderpump Rules, Jax Taylor was mostly confused. "I'm sorry, what's happening? Is this a thing?" he said, and proceeded to question why bagged milk was created in the first place. "Who's the marketing people who do this?"
After some confusion, Jax actually figured it out! Kinda. The hole he cut was definitely too big, which caused some mess. He was also NOT happy with the functionality. "This is a lot of work. And now I gotta put it in the fridge like this?" But hey, he did better than most of the other celebs.

3. I had high hopes for Alex Warren, mostly because I low-key loved the Hype House show. "I'm terrified to open this," he began, which I kinda get. "That's insane." But once he saw the bags WITHIN the bag, he was pretty confident. "I think I know how to open this now..."
Alex made the same error of cutting the bag and pouring the milk into the carton. Of course, we called this out. "It's in the damn cup," he replied. "Now, I don't wanna say your way is inefficient..." but yeah, he kinda did insinuate that. It's OK, Alex. We can take it.

4. Angie K from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City said my favourite thing ever: "My breast milk was in a bag like this." I LOL'D. She seemed a lot more enthusiastic about the concept than the previous celebs, which we love to see. "I bet the secret is to cut the corner," she said.
So, yeah, she did cut the corner. But poured the milk directly from the bag into the cup, THEN the rest into the jug. "Look how beautiful! I'm so proud of myself right now," she said. But when we told her she did it wrong, she was shocked. "Why didn't I think of that?!"
BuzzFeed
Our rating: 4/10 for her method, but 10/10 for her attitude, because she was an absolute joy through the entire process.

5. Singer Alex Sampson is actually Canadian, so we took it up a notch for his test: we made him do it all BLINDFOLDED. "Oh no. This is gonna get everywhere." (And spoiler alert, yeah, it really did.)
While he did struggle at first (um, he tried to put ALL THREE BAGS in one jug), he did pretty well until the actual pouring. "Not gonna spill a single drop...I think I spilled a single drop." We enjoyed watching him pour milk all over the counter. He was a good sport.
BuzzFeed
Our rating: 9.5/10. Anyone who pours milk all over their hands and keeps on going deserves a high score. He also took a sip at the end, which most other celebs didn't do.

6. We HAD to include an actual food expert in this list, so who better than Top Chef's very own Kristen Kish? She was confident from the very start. "In a bag. Yes, I do know that." And she got right to work...but in a completely unique way.
She begun by BITING (yes, BITING) the hole in the bag, and pouring the milk straight into the cup. Then, she placed the bag inside the carton. When we told her she did it wrong, she had to re-calibrate for a sec, and on her second try, she did actually get it right for the most part — although she did say it "makes no sense whatsoever."
BuzzFeed
Our rating: 8/10 for not giving up, and for being absolutely savage. I've never seen anyone BITE the milk bag before, and it made me cackle.

7. Finally, our most-recent (and most chaotic) edition of Milking It stars Kyle Cooke, Carl Radke, and West Wilson from Summer House. They were all SHOOK by the sheer concept alone. "What the hell?!" Kyle said. "What do Canadian cows look like?"
West cut a hole in the outer bag, to which Kyle told him, "You have no idea what you're doing." Then, Carl proclaimed he had an idea, and emptied the milk from the bag into the jug (classic mistake). Everyone decided it was a RACE at that point, so all hell broke loose, all of them copying Carl's method. When we did show them the correct way to do it, they were fascinated. "No way," Carl said.

Non-Canadians, if you're still confused, you can check out each video and we'll lay it all out for you! Also, which celebrity do you wanna see on Milking It next? Tell us in the comments below, and we'll do our very best to make it happen!

It will allow him to go into ANY STATE and do the same thing. We're suing him."

Josie Totah Stars in New Episode of Cosmopolitan's Blind Date Video Seriees
If the latest episode of Blind Date is any indication, Josie Totah is quite the compelling dinner date. Our new celebrity interview series sends Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Willa Bennett on blind dates with stars like Reneé Rapp, Serena Page, and more. The best part? Willa starts the meals off blindfolded and has to guess who is joining her for dinner through a series of questions. And Josie—who stars in the Apple TV+ series The Buccaneers–chose to use her date as a forum to share her many hot (but valid) takes on dating at large, including but not limited to: why the proposition of hiking date should be taken as a threat, the one astrological sign she'd never date, and the one co-star she would. Cosmo also got a mini-breakdown of the TikTok heard around the world, in which Josie shared a kiss with her friend and former co-star Karan Brar. (You cannot fault fans for getting excited about that.) Watch the episode above to hear what Josie has to say on that matter, among other things.

Moment Woman Realizes Pug Has Been 'Emotionally Manipulating' Her
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A woman concerned her dog may be sick decided to give him the ultimate test to make sure he wasn't "manipulating" her. Turns out, he was. Maia McCann lives in New York with her pug, Smokey, who has developed a taste for the finer things in life. McCann, who works in the media industry, told Newsweek: "Smokey is 11. I've raised him in the city and I think he's really grown fond of New York's café culture and seems to think that he should get a pastry on every walk!" In a clip to her TikTok page @smokeyandmaia on March 28, McCann held Smokey up to the camera and declared she was about to play a game: "Is Smokey sick, or is he emotionally manipulating me so that I'll take him for cheesy bread?" She explained the pug had refused to eat breakfast, but had recently been tricking her in order to get the food he really wants. So, before taking him to the vet, she put him to the test, and walked with him down the street towards their regular café—and the closer they got, the more Smokey pulled on the leash. "It is looking pretty likely Smokey was faking sick to emotionally manipulate me into going and getting him a cheesy bread," McCann said as they got closer to the café. And once inside, Smokey began licking his lips in anticipation—and eagerly snapped up the treat. "It is such a miracle that you made a full recovery," she said sarcastically as Smokey tucked in. "We must have discovered the cure for the cheesy bread disease, thank goodness. "Didn't even have to pay the vet to tell me you're just smarter than you look sometimes." In a caption to the video, McCann described this manipulation as "the only trick Smokey knows." TikTok users had a big reaction, awarding the video more than 270,000 likes, as one commenter joked Smokey was saying: "I guess I'll try and force down a little cheesy bread to settle my stomach." "He was sick," another wrote. "Of not having cheesy bread." Maia McCann holds Smokey to the camera before checking whether he really has no appetite. Maia McCann holds Smokey to the camera before checking whether he really has no appetite. TikTok @smokeyandmaia "He didn't want to spoil his appetite," another suggested, as another shared: "My dog limps aggressively when he wants cookies." And as one commenter declared: "He was sick and then healed by cheesy bread." Dogs can fake injuries or illness, and it may stem from reinforced behavior. If a dog notices they get extra attention or treats when they're sick or injured, they may act the same way later to get the same result, according to Nutri-Paw. Owners should take their pets to the veterinarian to be sure, but signs the dog may be faking include the symptoms only being present when you're nearby, or the symptoms disappearing when the dog is distracted or excited.
