Tudor boosts Juventus team rapport with special dinner

Yahoo3 days ago
Juventus coach Igor Tudor has taken the entire squad out to dinner in a team-building exercise, including outcasts Douglas Luiz, Arthur Melo and Dusan Vlahovic.
The Bianconeri are currently in a pre-season training camp in Germany, where they are set to play Borussia Dortmund on Sunday afternoon.
During this experience, Tudor decided to treat his players by taking them all out for a group dinner event.

They travelled to Nuremberg to an Asian fusion restaurant, which was seen by La Gazzetta dello Sport as an important team-building exercise to create greater unity within the group.
They were also accompanied by CEO Maurizio Scanavino, director Francois Modesto and team manager Matteo Fabris.
The report noted the presence of all the players, including those whose future at Juventus seems improbable.
That means Douglas Luiz, Arthur Melo, Dusan Vlahovic, Nico Gonzalez and Tiago Djalò.
Some of the players walking along to the restaurant were recognised by fans and asked for selfies, mainly young talent Kenan Yildiz.

Enzo Maresca explains why Trevoh Chalobah came off as defender reacts on his socials

Defender Trevoh Chalobah has reacted on his social media last night after coming off injured in Chelsea's win against AC Milan. The Blues breezed past AC Milan winning the game 4-1 on the night in what was another very impressive performance from Enzo Maresca's side. Liam Delap had a great game and he topped it off by scoring the fourth goal for Chelsea to make sure of the comfortable win and result. EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea offered chance to sign Premier League centre back and it's not Marc Guehi! It wasn't all good news though and Chelsea fans had major concerns when yet another defender appeared to come off injured during the game. Chalobah was bought off injured and suddenly Chelsea fans thought they might be losing him as well as Levi Colwill who is now likely to be out for a large part of the season with an ACL injury. But thankfully, it does not sound like anything to be concerned about for Chalobah based on reactions from Maresca and the player himself. Chalobah reacts Trevoh Chalobah winces in pain as he puts weight on his injured ankle in a preseason friendly against AC Milan. He simply posted on X last night: 'All good everyone, thanks for the messages 🙏💙' That will be a relief to hear for everyone at the club because they are surely going to need Chalobah if they do not dip into the market to sign a new centre back in the remaining weeks of the summer transfer window. Maresca reacts So if he is all good, why did he come off? Well, he was 'too hot' apparently! Maresca said: '[Wesley] Fofana could be available for Crystal Palace yes, and we are very happy because he is a very important player. Trev [Chalobah] is fine; he decided to come off because it was too hot (laughs).' It was a pretty hot day yesterday to be honest!

Arizona Cardinals preseason: 5 players saw stock rise in win over Chiefs

The Arizona Cardinals picked up a 20-17 preseason win over the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday night at State Farm Stadium. They came back from being down 14-3. As the preseason goes, while the result doesn't matter as much as the performance of individual players. Every day is an evaluation and games show what players do under the bright lights. In the bright lights of Saturday's game, which players improved their stock? RB Emari Demercado Demercado will make the roster and will have a limited role playing on third down and special teams. However, he endears himself to coaches and fans when he makes plays like he did on Saturday, taking a short pass from Jacoby Brissett and turning it into a 43-yard touchdown. While it isn't going to earn him more playing time on offense with James Conner and Trey Benson ahead of him, what it does do is give the coaches confidence in his ability to step in should there be an injury. OLB Jordan Burch Burch was disruptive but got little credit for it. Twice he had sacks negated by penalties. He was in the backfield causing problems, and if that is something he can do in the regular season, the Cardinals have a foursome of outside linebackers to be reckoned with in him, Josh Sweat, Zaven Collins and Baron Browning. S Kitan Crawford Crawford, a seventh-round rookie known for his special teams play, picked off a pass in the end zone. Making plays on defense and not just special teams increases his value. Can he show more upside than Joey Blount? That is the question. After one game, he is proving his worth. CB Darren Hall Hall had an interception and almost picked off a second pass. He offers special teams play and is good in the slot. It is going to be tough to make the roster this year, but he certainly helped his case. Arne Slot confirms Liverpool have signed a NEW secret weapon

Liverpool been extremely careful in crafting Arne Slot 2.0 this summer and there is a reason why. Firstly, the amount of money that has been spent is extortionate, even though you feel that signing quality players demands such a financial outlay nowadays. £300m takes time and consideration. 🔴 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the away range TODAY LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! Slot finally had an opportunity to mould the Reds into a multi-functional side in his image. Tactically we were in for a major change. 🔴 Shop the LFC 2025/26 adidas away range Winning the Premier League last season was phase one, but there are other competitions that the Reds will have felt they could improve in, alongside attempting to retain their league title crown. Slot's NEW secret weapons for success In an interview with Men in Blazers, the Dutch coach revealed what he's been getting up to this summer, looking at different ways for Liverpool to become a different animal on the pitch this season. He said: "We saw more and more teams going to a lower block than is even possible [last season] and one of the reasons we still won those games is because we kept a clean sheet; we were working that hard so that we only needed a goal to win the game. And we managed to do this a lot, but we won many of our hames by a one goal margin. "I think that by adding the creativity of Florian [Wirtz], by adding the base of Jeremie Frimpong, Hugo Ekitike, and Milos Kerkez that can give us some weapons in games like that as well. If you don't evolve, if you keep doing the same thing, people do find the answers to your playing style and that already happened a bit in the second half of the season." As such, while last season's tactical plan was all about adding more control in possession, rather than constantly playing in transition, this season will be about utilising more dynamic technicians. Just through watching the pre-season games, you get a sense that there is substantially more creativity in the side and the attack is far more unpredictable because of how free the players are. No one's position is set in stone, with Wirtz and Ekitike constantly moving around the pitch to create different options, leaving opposition sides feeling lost in defence. It's a little bit like PSG last season. Later in the interview, Slot spoke about how you have to evolve tactically in order to continue succeeding at the top level, noting that you need to be able to excel in every aspect of the game. He added: "We've been a threat over all these years under Jurgen [Klopp] and even last season in transition as well and I think now if you want to learn the league, you have to be good at everything - in transitions, in attack, in set plays, defensively really strong and using high press and in a low block, that is what this league does to every team that wants to win. "You have to be at your best in every part of football and that's that we are trying. We are working really hard on that, to become as best as possible. I don't know where I read it somewhere, but it was something like 'we try to reach perfection, but we reach excellence along the way'." There's a maturity to this Liverpool team now. It's a little bit like watching an XI of galacticos, not just because they cost a lot, but because of the sheer amount of talent that Slot can utilise tactically. Just last season, it felt like Mohamed Salah was our primary weapon. Now we have a team of them.
