After a captivating and talent-packed season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs, Zee Tamil is back with the fifth season of its flagship music reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Seniors.
The grand finale of the popular singing show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs recently concluded on the entertainment channel, with actor Sivakarthikeyan announcing Divinesh as the winner.
Television audiences are in for yet another memorable season as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Seniors Season 5 recently began on a grand note. A wave of musical talent is sweeping across television screens, with the contest witnessing the participation of an overwhelming number of aspiring singers from nearly 35 towns and cities across Tamil Nadu. In the audition, 12 contestants were shortlisted in the first week.
One of the most special moments of the episode was when actress Devayani's elder daughter, Iniya Rajakumaran, performed on stage. The judges unanimously selected her based on her performance. When their blindfolds were lifted, they were surprised to see Ms. Devayani sitting beside her daughter.
'I want my daughter to move forward in the contest based on her own efforts. This stage is not something that comes easily. It has created many winners, and I am proud that she begins her journey here,' said Ms. Devayani.
The audition episode also featured veteran actor T. Rajendar as a special judge, bringing his signature energy to the show. In the upcoming episodes, participants will face various challenges that test their musical range and performance skills. They will be mentored by a panel of judges comprising playback singers Vijay Prakash, Srinivas, Shweta Mohan, and Karthik. The show airs every Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m.
Second season of 'Startup Singam'
Another show that premiered to a strong viewer response, Startup Singam, will return with a new season this November on Vijay TV and Jio Hotstar, showcasing 75 curated startups across 26 episodes.
The show that made waves in the startup ecosystem and households alike aired 13 episodes and facilitated investment commitments worth ₹55 crore. In its first season, it supported 39 startups across diverse sectors.
From discovering grassroots founders to enabling investment conversations, Startup Singam Season 2 will merge entrepreneurial grit and regional storytelling. They are split into three groups, judged by Abhijeet, Navdeep and Bindu Madhavi. Each judge will pick one finalist directly, making three direct entries. The rest will face public voting, and the top two will join the finalists. These 5 commoners then enter Bigg Boss Telugu 9 with celebrities. The challenges, inspired by shows like Roadies, will test physical, mental and emotional strength. According to multiple media reports, Bigg Boss 9 Telugu Agnipariksha will feature several notable commoners. They reportedly include Instagram influencers like Anusha Ratnam, Dammu Sreeja, Shakib and Masked Man Hriday. Divya Nikhitha, who runs the 'Veg Fried Momo' page, and gym coach Dalia are also reportedly in the lineup. Potential candidates also include Swetha Shetty, a UK-based weightlifter, and Miss Telangana runner-up Kalki. Other probable participants are influencers Demon Pawan and Prasanna Kumar. None of the contestants has been officially confirmed. Actor-YouTuber Nikhil Maliyakkal won Bigg Boss Telugu Season 8 on December 15, 2024. He received ₹ 55 lakh and a car. The finale featured Ram Charan as the special guest, who announced the winner. Nikhil beat finalist Gautham Krishna in a close contest.

The show will run for five months. As reported by SCREEN earlier, the show has contestants divided into two teams, and this time, it will be the housemates who will run the show. Even the audience will be quite involved in taking the show's narrative forward. Every week, important decisions about the house will be taken by the housemates, and like host Salman Khan said in the promo, 'every action will have its consequence.'
