After a captivating and talent-packed season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs, Zee Tamil is back with the fifth season of its flagship music reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Seniors. The grand finale of the popular singing show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs recently concluded on the entertainment channel, with actor Sivakarthikeyan announcing Divinesh as the winner. Television audiences are in for yet another memorable season as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Seniors Season 5 recently began on a grand note. A wave of musical talent is sweeping across television screens, with the contest witnessing the participation of an overwhelming number of aspiring singers from nearly 35 towns and cities across Tamil Nadu. In the audition, 12 contestants were shortlisted in the first week. One of the most special moments of the episode was when actress Devayani's elder daughter, Iniya Rajakumaran, performed on stage. The judges unanimously selected her based on her performance. When their blindfolds were lifted, they were surprised to see Ms. Devayani sitting beside her daughter. 'I want my daughter to move forward in the contest based on her own efforts. This stage is not something that comes easily. It has created many winners, and I am proud that she begins her journey here,' said Ms. Devayani. The audition episode also featured veteran actor T. Rajendar as a special judge, bringing his signature energy to the show. In the upcoming episodes, participants will face various challenges that test their musical range and performance skills. They will be mentored by a panel of judges comprising playback singers Vijay Prakash, Srinivas, Shweta Mohan, and Karthik. The show airs every Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. Second season of 'Startup Singam' Another show that premiered to a strong viewer response, Startup Singam, will return with a new season this November on Vijay TV and Jio Hotstar, showcasing 75 curated startups across 26 episodes. The show that made waves in the startup ecosystem and households alike aired 13 episodes and facilitated investment commitments worth ₹55 crore. In its first season, it supported 39 startups across diverse sectors. Suhasini Maniratnam, actor and wife of filmmaker Mani Ratnam, is the niece of actor Kamal Haasan. In fact, she moved to Chennai at the age of 12 for studies, and lived with her superstar uncle. While being the 'Ulaganayagan's niece had its benefits, it would also be the source of embarrassment for Suhasini on occasion. She narrated one such incident in an appearance on a television show some years ago, and said that her uncle would often drop her to college without wearing any pants. In a 2018 episode of Zee Tamil's show Weekend With Stars, Suhasini said that she kept her connection with Kamal a secret for quite a while. But her friends found out when a shoot was taking place outside their college, and Kamal called out to her. 'I had kept it as a secret and nobody knew the fact that Kamal is my chitthapa (uncle). 11-year-old Divinesh from Chennai was crowned the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs Season 4 after a gripping live Grand Finale held on May 11. The fourth season of the popular Tamil singing reality show concluded with Divinesh walking away with the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh. The show, which premiered in November last year on Zee Tamil, showcased young musical talent from across the state and concluded after a six-month performances and a charged atmosphere marked the night, with celebrity guests Arya, Santhanam and Sivakarthikeyan joining in the celebration. Sivakarthikeyan announced the winner, adding a special touch to the suspenseful climax. Yogashree and Hemitraa were named first and second runners-up finale featured six finalists — Divinesh, Yogashree, Hemitraa, Srimathi, Abinesh and Mahathi — competing in two rounds: 'Challenging Songs', where they tackled complex musical numbers, and 'Freestyle', where they showcased their favourite styles. Divinesh stood out for his flawless vocal technique and emotional depth, which consistently impressed both judges and audiences. Following his win, Divinesh said, 'Winning Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs Season 4 feels like a dream. I'm very happy and want to thank Zee Tamil and the whole Sa Re Ga Ma Pa team, especially the judges and coaches, for helping me become a better singer. And a super big thank you to my amazing gurus – Swetha Mohan, S.P.
