Josie Ho clarifies issue of withdrawal from music festival
On 30 July, the singer released a statement, saying that she did not approve any apology letter about her withdrawal to be released by the media, and that it was a confidential business communication between her company and the organisers.
"It is strictly bound by confidentiality clauses and should not have been disclosed publicly. Neither I nor 852 Films have authorised any organisation or third party to release it to the media," she posted.
Josie also revealed that Conroy is currently receiving treatment in the United States and is scheduled to undergo surgery.
"As the surgery involves a region close to the heart, the procedure is relatively complex. Nevertheless, we will face it together with courage. This situation has already caused significant distress to both of us. We sincerely ask for privacy and peace, especially for my husband, so that he may focus on his recovery without further intrusion," she added.
At the same time, Josie expressed her apology to the organiser of the event for the inconvenience caused.

BLACKPINK to release new mini-album this year?
13 Aug - YG Entertainment has neither denied nor confirmed reports that BLACKPINK will be releasing a new album in the fourth quarter of this year. A report from Mydaily recently claimed that the quartet will be releasing their first new EP in three years this November, and not just a single. It also said that the album was originally set for an October release but was pushed back. It is noted that BLACKPINK's last album was the 2022 "Born Pink". However, when asked about it, a rep from YG only stated, "We will announce the news through our promotions." BLACKPINK reunited this year and released their digital single "Jump" in July. The song was performed for the first time during their "Deadline" world tour. (Photo Source: All Kpop)

Mayu Matsuoka & Riisa Naka To Star In ‘Plastic Beauty' For Netflix
Mayu Matsuoka (Shoplifters, Tremble All You Want) and Riisa Naka (Alice in Borderland, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) will star in Plastic Beauty, a Japanese live-action drama series set in the world of plastic surgery. The series comes from a screenplay by Junya Ikegami (The Blood of Wolves, The Queen of Villains) and is being directed by Yuki Saito (Unmet: A Neurosurgeon's Diary). K2 Pictures is the producer and Harue Miyake and Katsuhito Motegi are the producers, with Shinichi Kudo the development producer. Plastic Beauty is set in the glamorous and shadowy world of plastic surgery, and follows Matsuoka as Fumi Numata, a gifted surgeon whose circumstances push her to shift from general surgery to aesthetics. She finds herself at odds with Naka's character Rin Tohyama, a celebrity cosmetic surgeon who views beauty as a form of salvation. 'What is beauty, really? That fundamental question became the starting point for Plastic Beauty,' said Shinichi Takahashi, Director, Live Action Creative for Japan at Netflix. 'Through rigorous research, this series explores the often untold realities of the glamorous plastic surgery industry, including the procedures many are curious about but hesitant to try. Together with Mayu Matsuoka, Riisa Naka, and director Yuki Saito, we delve into the complex, deeply personal, yet universally relatable pursuit of beauty. Join us on this journey to discover what beauty truly means to you.' Saito, the director, said the series would explore 'both the light and the dark sides of the increasingly popular world of plastic surgery,' adding: 'Having two actors as distinct as Mayu Matsuoka and Riisa Naka face off, challenge each other, and ultimately find mutual understanding — if we can capture even the subtlest emotional shifts in their performances, I believe it will deeply resonate with our viewers.'
