Josie Ho clarifies issue of withdrawal from music festival
1 Aug - Josie Ho recently addressed her withdrawal from the 2025 East Coast Land Arts Festival - Moonlit Sea Concert that she was supposed to perform at, after it was reported that the decision was made due to husband Conroy Chan's health issue.
On 30 July, the singer released a statement, saying that she did not approve any apology letter about her withdrawal to be released by the media, and that it was a confidential business communication between her company and the organisers.
"It is strictly bound by confidentiality clauses and should not have been disclosed publicly. Neither I nor 852 Films have authorised any organisation or third party to release it to the media," she posted.
Josie also revealed that Conroy is currently receiving treatment in the United States and is scheduled to undergo surgery.
"As the surgery involves a region close to the heart, the procedure is relatively complex. Nevertheless, we will face it together with courage. This situation has already caused significant distress to both of us. We sincerely ask for privacy and peace, especially for my husband, so that he may focus on his recovery without further intrusion," she added.
At the same time, Josie expressed her apology to the organiser of the event for the inconvenience caused.
