Saudi designer Kawthar Alhoraish, founder of Kaf by Kaf, introduces Lightbound, a sportswear collection for SS25 created in partnership with Adidas. Rooted in Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage, the collection brings together traditional design elements and functional, contemporary silhouettes.
Under the theme 'The Lines that Connect Us,' Alhoraish incorporates diagonal and linear patterns that reference Saudi craftsmanship and design traditions, while also reflecting broader ideas of movement and connection. The collection is presented through a unisex campaign, featuring Kuwaiti-born Lebanese actress Laila Abdullah, Bahraini influencer Abbas Alafoor, and Dubai-based creatives Shahd Batal and Abdulrahman Abu Ebied.
Shot against stone walls and dimly lit alleyways, the campaign blends heritage with modernity, positioning Lightbound within a growing dialogue on the intersection of sportswear and cultural identity.

What Happens When Jordan's Favorite Coffee Shop Opens in New Cairo?

At Bean There, every cup reflects precise sourcing, Grade 1 beans from micro-lots scoring 85+, some even hitting 93%. When a café draws the attention of Her Majesty Queen Rania, you know it's not just pouring lattes. Bean There, the Amman-born coffee shop that has long been a favorite across Jordan, has now planted its flag in New Cairo, bringing with it a reputation polished by royalty. Cafés in Cairo have already evolved into multipurpose habitats—offices for freelancers, gossip dens for friends, and holding bays for side hustles. Bean There slides neatly into that mix, except its beans come with report cards. Each batch is single-origin, graded into three tiers, and only the top level makes it into the cup. Those beans consistently score 85+ on the global coffee scale, with some nudging 93. It's the sort of obsessive sourcing usually reserved for sommelier notes, now baked into your flat white. The interiors tell their own story. Instead of neon signs screaming But First, Coffee, the palette pulls directly from Petra and Wadi Rum—sky blues and sand tones that translate Jordan's desert landscapes into New Cairo walls. It's restraint as aesthetic, confidence by omission. Still, what's getting talked about almost as much as the beans is the food. The Cairo outpost enlisted Lebanese-Brazilian Chef Patrick, known from MBC1, to shape the menu. Breakfast doesn't stop at shakshouka and pancakes; croissants come plain, almond, pistachio, or—because why not—stuffed with scrambled eggs. Lunch pushes further with tacos, mini burgers, and pasta dishes like ricotta cannelloni and pesto penne. It's a menu that skips borders the way Cairo skips traffic lights. Bean There started as a passion project in Amman, blending the intimacy of Middle Eastern coffee rituals with the pared-down focus of third-wave cafés. Its Egyptian debut carries that DNA but refuses the influencer gimmicks—no flower walls, no hashtags on the wall. Just beans, bread, and a quiet assurance that both are worth staying for.

Saudi Journalist Gifts Camel to Ronaldo & Georgina for Engagement

Saudi sports journalist Ibrahim Al-Faryan gifted a camel to Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez to celebrate their engagement. Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are officially engaged, but while most people send flowers, Saudi journalist Ibrahim Al Faryan went with something a little harder to wrap: a camel. Since moving to Riyadh in 2023 to play for Al Nassr, Ronaldo and Georgina have settled into life in Saudi Arabia, making the camel gift all the more fitting. Al Faryan shared the gesture online, calling it his personal gift to the 'great one.' Known for his flair, he once presented Brazilian star Fabinho with a Rolex, but a camel for Ronaldo may be his boldest move yet.
