SWAT team, multiple DeKalb police units respond to barricaded suspect on Lavista Road
The DeKalb County Police Department has a heavy presence of officers out on Lavista Road.
According to a police spokesman, the officers and SWAT team are responding to what was said to be a barricaded suspect.
No additional details were available.

Person rescued after reportedly falling off cliff while running from deputies, sergeant says
Authorities rescued a male who reportedly fell off a cliff while running from law enforcement in Clark County on Sunday, according to a Clark County Sheriff's Office sergeant. Bibb County deputy gets backup to help remove 12-foot alligator from business
Bibb County Sheriff's Office removed a large alligator from a business on Joe Tamplin Industrial Boulevard on Saturday. Animal Enforcement Officer Rebecca Galeazzo got to the scene to get a 12-foot alligator off of the business property. According to the sheriff's office, the alligator crawled up to the business overnight and was not happy to go. To tip the scales and get the beastie removed, Galeazzo had to call for backup, the sheriff's office said. After it 'put up a fight,' the alligator was eventually captured and released unharmed back into the wild. Police investigating deadly shooting involving officer in southwest Atlanta
Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating a deadly shooting involving an officer in southwest Atlanta. Channel 2's Bryan Mims is on the scene at McDaniel Street. Atlanta police confirmed to Mims that the shooting was officer-involved and fatal, though other details were not yet available. At the crime scene, police tape is visible in multiple areas around the Heritage Station Apartments. Officers from the Fulton County Police Department were at the location speaking with witnesses.
