NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The humidity may have tapered off, but now we have scattered storms to contend with over the next few days.
For Thursday, these storms will start out coastally then pop-up throughout our viewing area bringing the chance for rumbles of thunder and heavier rainfall at points. Most of these storms will make their presence known in the afternoon through part of the evening (12 p.m. – 10 p.m.), but there is no threat for severe weather. It'll be a fairly similar situation and timeframe for scattered storms on Friday as well.
Temperatures in the overnight will get down to lower 70s and during the day see upper 80s.

After a calm evening, attention turns westward as a line of strong to severe thunderstorms begins forming across Texas and Oklahoma. These storms will push into southwest Arkansas after midnight, bringing the potential for damaging winds and large hail. Additional storm clusters moving out of northeast Oklahoma may also reach northern parts of the state later tonight. The main window for severe weather will be from around midnight through early Monday morning. While storms will likely weaken as they move into central Arkansas, the threat for damaging winds and localized flooding. COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- Following severe storms this morning, we have enjoyed a calmer afternoon. A few showers will continue to filter out this evening across our south. We are already tracking our next storm system moving out of the Plains. Monday: Another WEATHER AWARE day is in store on Monday. We are tracking two rounds of potential severe weather: one in the morning and another in the afternoon. The SPC has issued a level 2/5 (slight) risk for Monday. Primary threats are damaging winds and hail. Tuesday: A few storms are possible early Tuesday, but rain chances will likely taper off by the afternoon. Temperatures will reach into the upper 80s. Rest of the Week: We will remain unsettled through the extended forecast, with a chance for showers and storms each day.
