Emirates, Mubadala Among Best UAE Workplaces, While stc, Aramco Tops In Saudi Arabia: LinkedIn
Dubai's Emirates Group and Abu Dhabi investment giant Mubadala are among the top 15 workplaces for professionals to 'grow their careers', according to the annual rankings issued by the networking platform LinkedIn. Also finding a prominent place is Majid Al Futtaim Group as well as the UAE operations of Alshaya, the Kuwaiti retail focused group.
The UAE top 15 workplaces has majority representation by foreign companies, leading with the likes of Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey, Mastercard, Procter & Gamble, TotalEnergies and HSMC, among other.
In Saudi Arabia, the telecom operator stc and energy powerhouse Aramco figure as the top places to pursue careers.
According to LinkedIn: Nine of the top 15 companies in Saudi Arabia are based in the Kingdom, from stc (first) and Saudi Aramco (second) through to Riyad Bank (ninth) and SRMG (13th).
Multinational companies make up 11 of the top 15 companies in the UAE, including McKinsey (3rd), Procter & Gamble (11th) and HSBC (15th).
'What stands out in this year's Top Companies lists is a shift in industry trends,' said Nabila Rahhal, Editor, LinkedIn News.
'In the UAE, for example, we're seeing consulting firms dominating the landscape, with Boston Consulting Group claiming top spot after ranking 6th last year.
'This represents a continued strengthening of the consulting sector's influence in the country's professional ecosystem.'
Healthcare companies in Saudi Arabia are once again represented in the rankings after a year.
So, you have the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre and Bupa taking the 10th and 11th spots.
'This year's list underscores the diverse business landscape in the region, with 14 different industries showing up on the top companies lists in the UAE and Saudi Arabia,' said Rahhal.
'From technology and finance to retail and energy, the rankings highlight the breadth of opportunities available and the region's continued evolution as a thriving hub for innovation, investment, and talent development.'
To be eligible, companies must have had 5,000 or more global employees with at least 500 within the country as of December 31, 2024.
LinkedIn tracks 'eight pillars' to decide where the companies rank in the final listings. This includes a professional's ability to advance within the organisation, skills growth opportunities, and the kind of stability the employer can provide.

India is on the verge of overhauling a 100-year-old property registration system, aiming to shut down a major loophole that has long enabled real estate fraud—especially against NRIs. Investment banker Sarthak Ahuja sounded the alarm on LinkedIn, calling the upcoming Registration Bill 2025 'something every property owner in India can't afford to ignore.' The proposed law promises to digitize the country's fragmented property records, making all title deeds, owner identities (Aadhaar-linked), and existing bank liabilities available online for instant verification. Ahuja highlights that under current laws, properties are often sold by individuals who aren't the rightful owners—especially in NRI cases, where absentee landlords may only realize the fraud years later. 'This is the biggest real estate fraud today—where someone sells what they don't own, and buyers lose everything,' he wrote. The new bill mandates that not just sales but even Agreements to Sell and Builder Agreements must be registered online, cutting off the practice of one property being promised to multiple buyers. Documents executed under Power of Attorney—some decades old—will also need to be uploaded to the new system once the law is enacted. Ahuja warns that property owners must get ahead of the change. Any inconsistencies in name spellings, address mismatches, or outdated utility bill details could cause serious trouble when the online system launches. 'This is the time to clean up your paperwork,' he advised. While the full rollout process and the official website are yet to be announced, the direction is clear: India's real estate records are moving online, and the margin for error—or deception—is about to shrink dramatically.

Kuwait Reopens Visa Access For Pakistanis
Kuwaiti government has officially resumed issuing a wide range of visas to Pakistani nationals, in a significant step towards bolstering bilateral relations and addressing critical labor needs, Pakistan's Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, announced. The Pakistani Ambassador also announced plans to bring 1,200 Pakistani nurses to Kuwait's healthcare sector, which faces rising demand. An initial group of 125 nurses was slated to arrive last week but faced delays due to housing challenges. 'Special teams are actively resolving the issue, and we expect the nurses to arrive in the coming days,' Dr. Iqbal said. Starting this May, Pakistani citizens have begun receiving approvals for various visas, including work, family visit, dependent, tourist, and commercial categories, restoring a vital channel for travel and employment between the two countries. Dr. Iqbal also revealed that Pakistan and Kuwait are in the final stages of signing a new labor memorandum of understanding (MoU), designed to streamline worker mobility and cooperation. 'Some provisions are already being implemented ahead of the formal signing,' he noted. The ambassador commended the deep historical and fraternal ties linking Pakistan and Kuwait. ''The bond between Pakistan and Kuwait predates both nations' modern statehoods,' he said. 'From early economic migration to the role of Pakistani engineers and workers in shaping Kuwait's infrastructure in the 1960s and 70s, our shared legacy runs deep.' With over 93,000 Pakistanis residing in Kuwait, the community plays a vital role in healthcare, education, and other sectors. 'Our citizens are exemplary and respected contributors,' Dr. Iqbal said. Highlighting economic collaboration, he pointed to Pakistan's vast potential in food security, agriculture, housing, and infrastructure, sectors aligned with Kuwait's Vision 2035 development goals. Kuwaiti investors are already among the largest Gulf investors in Pakistan, holding significant assets including hotels, reflecting strong confidence in the Pakistani market. Dr. Iqbal recalled Pakistan's military support to Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion, praising the enduring defense ties forged through shared sacrifice and cooperation. He underscored frequent high-level communications between the two nations, with multiple engagements between Pakistan's Prime Minister and Kuwait's leadership in the past six months. 'Kuwait plays a key role in regional peace-building and international diplomacy,' the ambassador said, noting close cooperation at the United Nations. Kuwait's support was instrumental in Pakistan's recent successful bid for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council, where it secured overwhelming global backing.
