The Israeli relentless bombardment on Gaza killed at least 57 Palestinians and wounded 137 in the past 24 hours, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Monday.
The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has risen to 1,391 people killed and 3,434 wounded since Israel resumed its genocidal war on 18 March, a ministry statement read.
The overall casualties among Palestinians since 7 October 2023 have reached 50,752 killed and 115,475 injured.
On Monday dawn, a strike on a media tent outside Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis set the tent ablaze, killing at least two people, including Palestine Today journalist Helmy Al-Faqawi, and wounding nine others, including six reporters, medics said.
Hospitals said another 28 people were killed in separate strikes across the territory, AP reported.
In addition, a previous casualty report indicated that 15 others were killed.

Croatian Diver Holds Breath 29 Minutes in Guinness Record

Israa Farhan Croatian freediver Vitomir Maričić has set a new Guinness World Record after holding his breath underwater for an astonishing 29 minutes and 3 seconds. The record-breaking feat took place in a private swimming pool, where Maričić prepared by breathing pure oxygen for ten minutes before submerging. This pre-breathing technique helped saturate his blood with oxygen, dramatically boosting his endurance and allowing him to surpass the previous record by a full five minutes. His achievement has now been officially recognized by Guinness World Records, making him the holder of the world's longest static breath-hold. For comparison, harbor seals can replenish up to 90% of the air in their lungs with each breath, while humans manage only about 20%. Remarkably, Maričić's breath-hold performance even exceeded the diving capacity of bottlenose dolphins. Maričić explained that his preparation focused on raising his oxygen levels to many times above the natural baseline, which enabled him to push human limits. He added that even without pure oxygen, he can hold his breath for more than ten minutes. The record for unaided breath-holding, without oxygen pre-breathing, remains with Serbian diver Branko Petrović, who achieved 11 minutes and 35 seconds in 2014. By contrast, most people struggle to hold their breath for more than a minute under normal conditions. Guinness World Records noted that Maričić attempted the feat in June as part of a campaign to raise awareness about the importance of protecting marine ecosystems. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

ERC Marks 600 Days of Continuous Aid Efforts for Gaza

Ahmed Emam The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) has highlighted its sustained efforts in delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, underscoring Egypt's ongoing support for Palestinians during the war. Dr. Amal Imam, Executive Director of the ERC, said the organization has been working 'tirelessly and without interruption' for more than 600 days to ensure the delivery of aid to Gaza, despite numerous challenges. 'Every truck carrying relief supplies is the result of tremendous collective effort, from preparation to delivery into the Gaza Strip,' Imam explained. Since October 2023, ERC teams have been stationed at the Rafah border crossing, managing and coordinating the flow of humanitarian convoys. According to Imam, more than 36,000 trucks loaded with over half a million tons of humanitarian aid have entered Gaza from Egypt in cooperation with local and international partners. Following the announcement of a temporary humanitarian truce on July 27, 2025, the ERC dispatched new convoys under the initiative 'Zad al-Izza' (Sustenance of Dignity), carrying thousands of tons of food and relief supplies. Imam noted that several Arab and international delegations have visited the Egyptian crossings to observe the aid operations, stressing that these visits have amplified calls for secure humanitarian corridors into Gaza and the reopening of all access points to alleviate the suffering of civilians. She added that these visits coincided with Egypt's repeated appeals for a ceasefire, a reconstruction plan, and wider humanitarian access. Alongside the Red Crescent, multiple Egyptian ministries, including the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, have been involved in providing medical care to wounded Palestinians transferred to Egypt. Beyond Gaza, Imam emphasized the Red Crescent's role as Egypt's humanitarian arm in responding to regional crises in Sudan and Lebanon, as well as domestic emergencies. The organization maintains rapid-response teams across the country, operating seven hospitals, more than 35 health centers, and over 200 service facilities providing elderly care, child protection, youth programs, and community services. The ERC also prioritizes services for people with disabilities, offering accessibility support, first-aid training in sign language, and partnerships with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities. Imam said the organization is committed to expanding these services and involving persons with disabilities as volunteers. In her remarks, Imam urged young Egyptians to embrace volunteerism: 'Volunteering leaves a lasting impact on our lives and the lives of others. It spreads noble humanitarian values across society.' Addressing the Palestinian people directly, she added: 'Our support for Gaza and the Palestinian cause is historic. It began in 1948 and continues unwaveringly. Know that you have brothers and sisters working day and night to ease your suffering. Our solidarity has no limits.' read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
