Congress routinely blames EVMs, there is no cure for lies: Saini
Saini was interacting with the media persons after the Tiranga Yatra in Kurukshetra, Wednesday. The Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar, Agriculture and Farmers & Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana, and Chairman Dharam Veer Mirzapur were also present on the occasion.
'Whenever election results are announced whether in the state or across the country, Congress routinely blames the EVMs. During this election, Congress leaders repeatedly claimed that if Narendra Modi became Prime Minister for a third term, the Constitution would be in danger. Rahul Gandhi and other leaders of the INDIA alliance campaigned using the Constitution as a symbol, but the people of the country rejected their false narratives. Instead, they elected Modi as PM. In Haryana too, the BJP formed the government for the third time in a row,' Saini said, adding that the Congress has no real issues left and is
now frustrated.
Prajapati community gets new identity
CM Saini and his cabinet colleagues Wednesday distributed eligibility certificates to the members of Prajapati community across various parts of Haryana.
The CM presided over the state-level function in Kurukshetra for distribution of these entitlement certificates to families belonging to Prajapati community. The programme was held simultaneously in all 22 districts and the certificates will benefit around 1,00,000 families with land entitlement certificates.
Under the scheme, entitlement certificates have been issued in about 1,700 villages, granting the Prajapati community collective rights for soil
excavation.
A government spokesperson said, 'These certificates, issued under the Gram Shamlat Bhumi Niyamwali, 1964, not only grant the right to use the land but also provide legal authority to carry out their work without hindrance. This initiative will enable the Prajapati community to give a new direction to their art, help realise their dreams and allow them to manufacture products without having to travel far.'
Describing the Prajapati community as hardworking, honest and skilled, Saini said that the art of making earthen pots has been an integral part of our cultural heritage. 'However, over time, this skill has not received the respect and opportunities the community deserves, and the necessary resources to connect the new generation with this art were not provided in time. Earlier, in every village, adequate land was available for the Prajapati community to source soil, but previous governments failed to address this need. During the Congress regime, even the workplaces of the Prajapati community were encroached upon. Not only that, those in power at the time conspired against the community and attempted to take away their livelihood. A superficial promise of allotting 100-square-yard plots in villages was made, but those plots were carved out from the very land where the Prajapati community earned their living. Such policies brought the employment of this community almost to a standstill.'

CM on two-pronged strategy of ‘People's govt': 'We compete globally, yet prioritise welfare measures'
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has observed that the 'People's government' headed by him, while setting its sights on competing with global cities, is fully committed to delivering welfare benefits to uplift the disadvantaged sections of society. Addressing the Independence Day celebrations at Golkonda Fort on Friday, Revanth Reddy listed out his government's welfare schemes and their positive impact on society. The People's government had adopted a two-pronged approach, he explained. On the one hand, the government set for itself goals to compete with global cities; and, on the other hand, the government was delivering welfare benefits to fulfil the aspirations of the poor. "Clarity in thinking and transparency in implementation are the hallmark of our governance", the Chief Minister said. The state government had chosen an inclusive development approach by involving everyone and created miracles. So, Telangana had become a 'role model' for the country within 20 months, Revanth claimed. The present Congress government, soon after assuming power on December 7, 2023, 'restored democracy' and took policy decisions in tune with the aspirations and goals of people as well as Telangana activists and martyrs. The People's government accorded priority to the future and welfare of farmers, women, and youth. 'We took historic decisions to invent a social Telangana. We fulfilled the 100-year dream of the weaker sections by conducting the (Socio-Economic) Caste Census and implemented SC sub classification, thereby ending decades of waiting for the Scheduled castes. The two important decisions taken by the government are not only significant but also courageous in the history of India,' the CM remarked. On farmers' welfare, the Chief Minister said that farmers in the state could get rid of their debts and register the highest crop production in the country, upon implementation of the loan waiver scheme, Rythu Bharosa, along with bonus of Rs 500. Revanth Reddy said that women empowerment schemes, including free travel in RTC buses, had brought a paradigm shift in the lives of women in the state.

‘Stale, troubling': Congress slams PM's I-Day speech
NEW DELHI: Terming his Independence Day address 'stale, hypocritical, and troubling', the Congress on Friday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for praising the RSS in the speech, alleging that the ruling BJP is ready to go to any extent of 'immorality' to remain in power, and that several 'irregularities' in elections are emerging across the country. After hoisting the national flag at the Congress headquarters, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said that opposition's votes are being openly cut in the name of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Bihar electoral rolls, even as those alive are being declared dead. LoP in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, and Kharge skipped the Independence Day speech, drawing criticism from the BJP. The Congress chief said the 'most surprising' thing was that the BJP has had no objection to the votes of 65 lakh people being cut. This clearly shows who benefited from the SIR exercise, he said. 'This is not a fight to win elections but to save India's democracy and protect the Constitution,' Kharge said, referring to the Congress's opposition to the SIR exercise. 'Those who are alive have been declared as dead. EC's impartiality can be understood from the fact that it is not ready to share whose votes are being cut and on what basis,' he said. Kharge also claimed that central investigation agencies like ED and CBI, and the Income Tax department have been used 'so openly for political purposes against the opponents that the Supreme Court of the country has to show them the mirror.' In a statement, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the 'most troubling element' of Modi's speech was his 'name-checking' of the RSS, which was a 'blatant breach of the spirit of a constitutional, secular republic.
