Teachers pillars of society, nation building: Governor Gehlot
Just as a lamp burns itself to dispel darkness, teachers illuminate society by spreading the light of knowledge, values, and ideas."
He was speaking during Prerana Diwas-2025, organised by the Karnataka Rajya Mahavidyalaya Shikshaka Sangha (KRMSS) in Moodbidri, on Saturday. The event was held to felicitate exemplary educators and celebrate their unwavering dedication to shaping young minds.
He added that the guru-disciple tradition has been an integral part of India's cultural heritage, where teachers are revered as 'Guru Brahma' and 'Guru Vishnu'.
"Whether it is ancient scholars or modern educators like Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, all have demonstrated that teachers are not only knowledge providers but also builders of society. Teachers are the architects of nation-building," he said.
"In today's society, surrounded by moral crises, technological changes, and global challenges, teachers are the foundation for innovation, wisdom, and ethics. In the current era of technological revolution, artificial intelligence, and global competition, the role of teachers has become even more crucial.

5 Challenging traits of Gemini zodiac sign
I explore the internal struggle of Gemini, depicting indecision and restlessness through symbolic everyday objects. Gemini is the third sign of the zodiac, known for being adaptable, smart, and social. People born under Gemini are often curious and quick thinkers. However, like all zodiac signs, Gemini has some negative traits that can be challenging. Here are five negative aspects commonly linked to Gemini. Gemini people often change their minds and interests quickly. They can be excited about something one moment and then lose interest the next. This inconsistency can make them seem unreliable and unpredictable. In relationships and at work, this can frustrate others who find it hard to keep up with Gemini's ever-changing moods and plans. Gemini's curiosity often leads them to learn a little about many things without diving deep into any one topic. This superficial approach can make them seem shallow or uncommitted. In conversations, they might appear more interested in gossip and trivial matters rather than meaningful discussions, which can affect the depth of their relationships. Gemini individuals can see both sides of a situation, which makes it hard for them to make decisions. They often overthink and second-guess themselves, leading to indecisiveness. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Live Comfortably: 60m2 prefabricated bungalow for the elderly in Rejoagung Pre Fabricated Homes | Search Ads Search Now Undo This can be a problem in both personal and professional settings, where timely and confident decision-making is important. Gemini people are always looking for new experiences and stimulation. While this can make them exciting to be around, it also means they get bored and impatient easily. Their restlessness can lead to a lack of focus and difficulty in sticking to long-term commitments, whether in projects, jobs, or relationships. Gemini individuals find it hard to commit, whether it's to a person, a job, or a plan. Their love for variety and new experiences can make them hesitant to settle down or stick with one thing for too long. This lack of commitment can be frustrating for those around them who want stability and reliability. Gemini individuals are full of curiosity and adaptability, but their inconsistency, superficiality, indecisiveness, restlessness, and lack of commitment can be challenging. Understanding and managing these negative traits is crucial for Gemini to use their strengths effectively and maintain harmony in their interactions with others Discover everything about astrology at Times of India , including daily horoscopes for Aries , Taurus , Gemini , Cancer , Leo , Virgo , Libra , Scorpio , Sagittarius , Capricorn , Aquarius , and Pisces .
