Ironheart trailer: Dominique Thorne returns as MIT genius Riri Williams after Black Panther Wakanda Forever
The much-awaited trailer for Ironheart, starring Dominique Thorne, dropped on May 14. The series will centre around Riri Williams, a brilliant young inventor who builds a suit of armour that rivals the one created by Tony Stark — better known as Iron Man.
The two-minute, 47-second trailer offers a glimpse into Riri's life as an MIT student following the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). We're introduced to Parker Robbins, who appears to be interviewing Riri at first — but things soon take a mysterious turn as it becomes clear he may not be who he claims to be. The series will follow Riri as she uncovers secrets that blur the line between technology and magic, setting her on a thrilling path filled with danger and discovery.
In the comics, Parker Robbins is also known as The Hood. He wears a hood that allows him to use dark magic and arts. In another universe, Parker is the leader of a criminal organisation that kidnapped and enslaved Chinese immigrants in America before being killed by Xu Xialing (Shang-Chi's sister), who took control of his organisation.
In the show, Parker's role will be essayed by Anthony Ramos.
Ironheart is set to premiere on Disney+ (JioCinema/Hotstar) on June 24, 2025, with the first three episodes of its six-part series. It will mark the final television release and the conclusion of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The show is created by Chinaka Hodge and will be directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes. It is produced by Kevin Feige, Ryan Coogler, Louis D'Esposito, along with various others.
Ironheart will not be Riri's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The character was last seen in Ryan Coogler's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In the film, she teams up with Shuri (Letitia Wright), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Wakandans after her invention draws the attention of powerful forces such as Namor (Tenoch Huerta). As the creator of a vibranium-detecting machine, Riri finds herself at the centre of the conflict between Wakanda and Talokan.

‘We called them vintage clothes…': Miley Cyrus reveals how she used to hide drug expenses from her accountant
Miley Cyrus is no stranger to reinvention. From Disney Channel sweetheart to chart-topper, the 32-year-old pop star has carved a career defined by transformation. But on the Every Single Album podcast, Cyrus opened up about her early experiences with drugs and the chaos that shaped her 2015 experimental album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. The singer gave fans an intimate look into what she now sees as a wild chapter in her life. 'The drugs were the biggest cost,' she admitted.'Which, to hide those from my accountant, we called them vintage clothes.' A post shared by Miley Cyrus (@mileycyrus) Cyrus didn't shy away from revealing a few details. 'She [the accountant] would get these checks. That happens on touring all the time,' Miley explained. 'And every time she saw me, she'd be like, 'Where's that, like, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?' And I'd say, 'Oh, it's upstairs.'' The star continued, 'We just really want to protect it. It's really delicate. The fabric…got to take care of it! So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year.' That 'vintage' wardrobe, of course, was code for her extravagant drug use. As she looks back, Cyrus is also full of gratitude. 'I'm so glad I survived that time in my life,' she said. 'I would definitely not encourage anyone else to go this hard, but the fact that I got through it… I'm very glad I got to do it.' The singer has since been on a journey of sobriety. In an old 2017 interview with Billboard, she described herself as 'evolving' after quitting marijuana. She's been sober since 2019, aside from a brief relapse during the pandemic. These days, sobriety is non-negotiable: 'That's like my God. I need it,' she says. On the work front, Cyrus recently brought fans to tears with a rendition of one of her most nostalgic songs — The Climb, a ballad from Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) that once defined her Disney era. She also joked about how her drummer boyfriend, Maxx Morando, has been waiting since middle school to play this song.

(This is a developing story.)

'Ballerina' box office collection: Lionsgate's John Wick spinoff with Ana de Armas may fall short of early $35M hopes
Lionsgate's action-thriller Ballerina, a spinoff of the popular John Wick franchise, is off to a slower start than expected at the box office. Starring Ana de Armas in the lead role, the R-rated film is playing in 3,409 theatres across North America. Initial forecasts had the film tracking for a strong debut of over $35 million just a few weeks ago. However, current estimates now place its opening in the mid-$20 million range, with some at Lionsgate still hoping it could stretch to $30 million by the end of the weekend. 'From The World of John Wick: Ballerina' stars Ana de Armas in the main role. However, even the film's star-studded cast is unable to draw people to the theatres. Friday's total, which includes $3.5 million from Thursday previews, came in just under $11 million—well below early expectations. 'There's always concern when a film with great audience reactions doesn't deliver at the box office,' said one distribution insider. 'We need all the wins we can get.' The film's slower performance is especially notable considering the strength of the franchise and the star power of de Armas. R-rated titles often rely on stronger evening and weekend turnout, and there's still a chance Ballerina could pick up momentum. But it faces stiff competition, including Disney's live-action 'Lilo and Stitch' remake, which is still drawing crowds in its third weekend. With that film continuing to hold steady, 'Ballerina' may not even top the weekend box office—a disappointment for what is arguably Lionsgate's biggest franchise. Despite the stumble, studio insiders remain hopeful that positive word-of-mouth and strong international performance could help the film recover in the coming weeks. Marketed as ' From The World of John Wick: Ballerina,' the film is the fifth entry in the John Wick franchise and serves as a spin-off, set between the events of 'John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum' (2019) and 'John Wick: Chapter 4' (2023). Directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten, it features Ana de Armas in the lead role.
