S Malaki Starks visited the Eagles
The Eagles have shown a fondness for defensive players who went to the University of Georgia in recent years and they hosted another Bulldog ahead of this year's draft.
Eliot Shorr-Parks of WIP reports that safety Malaki Starks visited with the team recently. Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Nolan Smith, Nakobe Dean, Kelee Ringo, Lewis Cine, and Azeez Ojulari are the current Eagles who share an alma mater with Starks.
Starks was a first-team All-American in 2023 and a second-teamer in 2024 after recording 77 tackles, four tackles for loss, and an interception.
The Eagles traded C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Texans and have Reed Blankenship and Sydney Brown back at safety along with Cine.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WTAJ) – Bald Eagle Area's softball team entered the PIAA Class 3A Championship Game on Friday hoping for revenge against Pine Grove Area, who handed the Eagles a loss in the title game back in 2019. However, the Cardinals got the best of them once again, winning 4-3 in the 13th inning at Penn State's Beard Field at Nittany Lion Softball Park. Addisyn Burns gave Bald Eagle Area an early lead in the third inning with a two-run double. Steelers unfazed by Watt's absence The Eagles saw a strong pitching performance from Sierra Albright, but errors allowed Pine Grove Area to take control of the game early on. In the bottom of the third inning, Callee Leffler hit a triple into right field but was able to score the Cardinals' first run of the game due to a throwing error. In the fourth inning, Jamie Dinger tied the game at two with an RBI double but would advance to third base on another error. Pine Grove Area capitalized on that as Tailyn Bohr would give them the lead with an RBI single. Trailing 3-2 in the seventh inning, Bald Eagle Area played small ball, using a sacrifice bunt and sacrifice fly to help force the game into extra innings. After each team had opportunities to win it in extras, Dinger was the hero in the 13th inning, winning the game with a bases loaded sacrifice fly. Rams' Emmanuel Forbes could get shot at redemption versus A.J. Brown, Eagles Cornerback Emmanuel Forbes hasn't lived up to his first-round pedigree yet, but he'll look to revitalize his career with the Los Angeles Rams after he joined the team late in the 2024 season. He'll also get an early opportunity to redeem himself against one of the toughest matchups he's faced early in his NFL career: Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown. Forbes faced Brown three times in the past two years and hasn't fared well against the star wideout. Per Pro Football Focus, Brown was targeted 10 times when covered by Forbes during their Week 4 matchup in 2023, where he caught six passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Four weeks later, Brown caught two receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown in a game he finished with eight receptions for 130 yards and two scores. Forbes didn't suit up against the Eagles in the Commanders' Week 11 matchup in 2024 before he was released and didn't play in the Rams' Divisional Round game against Philadelphia either. So, if he stays healthy and in the team's good graces, Forbes will get his first crack at Brown and the Eagles in the Rams' Week 3 match in Philadelphia. It's unclear what Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula will do in coverage, but Forbes could develop into a solid contributor for the team throughout the summer as he gets a full offseason under his belt with his new team. The Brown matchup will be a big one for Forbes in his redemption arc.
